I can't be the only one who took great joy in hearing a very special five words this week: "You know nothing, Jon Snow."

heh I was waiting for her to say that. And Theon reached a new low this week It showed how far he has come. I did like how they kept that scene like the book and will show the that the kids survived later

My husband has been annoyingly accurate with all his predictions while watching the show.

Two knights fighting, one is revealed as Loras, the other still is visored. He says "That's a woman, isn't it." And yesterday after the (a spoiler for more than yesterday's episode) two burned children reveal at Winterfell he says, "That must be the two other kids at that place, right?" Aggravating!

Add to that the fact he threatened to stop watching the show unless I told him whether Theon lives or dies and he's being quite unruly.

oh what a tangled web I weave

Although I haven't read A Clash of Kings (yet), I didn't panic at the end because I could figure out exactly what was going on. It doesn't make Theon any less of a monster, though. Ugh. How quickly he's turned to the dark side.

I also loved the Catelyn/Jamie moment. When Jamie started talking smack about Ned, I was like, oh no, you didn't!

I also totally and thoroughly love Brienne. She's awesome.

I loved the dialogue between Catelyn and Jaime -

    "What was Ned's bastards name?"

    "Brienne!"

    "No, that wasn't it..."

Found this interview. Fun watch if you are interested. Edit: Or maybe not.. does this work?

"The Prince of Winterfell" stream of consciousness:

Asha, errr Yara Greyjoy can call me a cunt any day... :3

    Eee, the Lord of Bones!

Yaaaawn at Robb and whatsherface. Do not care about this romance. Robb's best scenes are the ones with Catelyn in them.

The adventures of Jaime and Brienne

Some great scenes with Tyrion this week. Loved his promise to Cersei and her gleeful, malicious grin as he left.. Oh you stupid bitch, Cersei

"Where is the god of tits and wine?!"

Go to the House of the Undying already, Dany. Just go! GO GO GO.

Kind of a slow episode this week... but so excited for Blackwater next week.

As someone who hasn't read the books, can someone please tell me that Catelyn Stark had a much better reason for letting the Kingslayer go apart from "oh I'm so worried about my daughters".

Honestly, dumbest move ever. In what universe would anyone consider that a good idea???

In the books a lot of things happen at the same time for her and she is basicly at the edge of her mind. (no real book spoilers ahead!)
In the book she receives the bones of her beloved Ned much later while she is nursing her father who is about to die and to make things worse she gets the news that her two sons were killed in the north. So this leaves her with only one son that is far away at war, one daughter that is a captive of the enemy and from her youngest daughter there is no proof of life.
Catelyn is from a proud and "fertile" family and in the books she is always analysing and judging her children all the time. She is basicly DAS UBER Mother and reminds me of my own.
So Catelyn's legacy is at stake at here, she is a widow(now with bones to proof it), the North/Winterfell is lost, three of her five children are most likely dead, she failed to secure an alliance with Renly leaving her only remaining son alone to fight the Lannisters and her father is dieing while her brother is basicly a total screw up.
So she walks down to the dungeon of Riverun confront Jaime who is kept as a prisoner there after his escape attempt. In the book you are 100% sure at this point she wants to take revenge on the kingslayer but infact she sets him free and asks him and Brienne to pledge that he will return to her what little is left of her family.

It's a decision that's a lot easier to understand and relate to in the books, for sure.

Its still arguably a very dumb move in the book, and she made it for an emotional reason not a logical one just like in the show.

Thanks for the info - that sounds at least a tad more plausible than what we saw on the screen.

The Rains Of Castamere are confirmed for season 2 OST:

you can to listen it here:
    http://wicnet.tumblr.com/post/236555...stomere-by-the

    Lyrics for upcoming bard contests:

And who are you, the proud lord said,
that I must bow so low?
Only a cat of a different coat,
that's all the truth I know.
In a coat of gold or a coat of red,
    a lion still has claws,
And mine are long and sharp, my lord,
as long and sharp as yours.
And so he spoke, and so he spoke,
    that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall,
with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

    so ominous...

If you haven't read the books, don't look up anything about that song on Google because you're liable to trip over some MAJOR MAJOR spoilers.

I like the fact that the song just deals with the start and the result of the conflict between the houses Reynes of Castamere (house sigil: A Red Lion) and Lannister of Casterly Rock (house sigil: A Golden Lion).

The unsaid things in the song just show how afraid people are even to speak out how Tywin Lannister paid his debt to the proud lord that dared to insult him.

Well house Lannister is badass and always tywinning!

In other news I just looked at the last song of the OST and it is listed as "Three Blasts" ... so we will see the attack of the white walkers on the fist of the first men at the end of this season. Awesome

^ My guess is they'll use it as a cliffhanger point and we won't see the actual battle until the next series since it took place in the next book!

Tyrion uses Wildfire! It is SUPER EFFECTIVE!

That whole episode kicked all sorts of ass. Amazing.

Best episode of the series. Peter Dinklage is truly well on his way to another Emmy.
