Top 10 Favorite or best Movies of 2005

I really don't like saying something is the best because that is impossible for me to judge so here are my favorite films of the year. But if you would like to look at best that is fine with me

1 Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith
2 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
    3 Batman Begins
    4 Cinderella Man
5 The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
6 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
    7 Crash
    8 The Interperter
    9 Wedding Crashers
    10 War of the Worlds

Now this could change since I haven't seen King Kong or Walk the Line.

I forgot about Good night and Good luck and Munich. I wish I had the time and money to go to movies more it is just tough for me, more the time right now.

I don't go to nearly as many movies as a lot of y'all around here, and usually when I go, it's for escapist entertainment and fun. So I haven't seen things like Brokeback Mountain, Good Night and Good Luck, or Munich. But, for what it's worth, here's my top 10 favorites:

    1) Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
    2) The Chronicles of Narnia
    3) Wallace and Gromit - The Curse of the Wererabbit
    4) Batman Begins
    5) Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire
    6) Sky High
    7) The Corpse Bride
    8) The Legend of Zorro
    9) Charlie and The Chocolate Factory
    10) Flightplan

    Worst movies of the year:

    1) The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
    2) War of the Worlds

2005 was a bad movie year for me - I barely got to go to any... Of course, ROTS is tops for me this year. After that Harry Potter, Batman Begins, and War of the Worlds. Sorry to say that's about all I got to see this year...

Well, obviously it didn't make everyone's list as number one...case in point you.

I've had a slower year movie wise than most. But I always catch up on alot of films in January and February as I do my awards season cram. As it is I think I've seen about 40.

My favorite of 2005 USA releases would be hands down Downfall, the masterful movie about Hitler's final days.

Other faves include Broken Flowers, A History of Violence and Madagascar.

I haven't seen some of those movies Dizzy, as for Sin City I am very reluctant to put that on a favorite list, I thought it was a well made movie and liked parts of it, but it was way too dark and a little unsettling for me for a lot of reasons. Besides as I said my list is more favorites. I don't like thinking of movies in terms of best, my favorite movie is ROTS for a multitude of reasons. I could see in terms of best why it wouldn't be though.

Lord of War was sort of meh, at least in my opinion. If you've ever seen Requiem for a Dream, the direction the plot took sort of reminded me of it. Plus, Jared Leto is in both of them.

Well, my reasons for wanting to see Lord of War differ from just about anybody else who went to see it.

    1. Batman Begins
    2. The Lion, the Witch and The Wardrobe
    errr ...

Hardly saw ANYTHING this year. Episode 3 of SW, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory etc were good (I even liked The Island!) but I wouldn't put them as my favourites.

Oh yeah, most disappointing film (that I saw):

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. VERY disappointed.
