Oh, don't get me wrong...I LOVE my Glock 23.
I mean, the FBI issues it to thier field agents and countless law enforcement agencies issue out Glocks - for good reason.

I can imagine. You'd rather them never jam in the field, I'd bet.
And Daiq... I never even edited the eyes! They just look that way!
G23's have unsupported barrels that may not handle the gas pressures that .40 S&W generates. May be fine, may get a cracked barrel, and may get a blown up gun. Don't load any +p+ in that babyOriginally posted by Clive Solo

I know more than 5 people that own the 23, and it's reliable. Over 3000+ rounds through almost each of them and no problems. The barrel crack is rare, every gun manufactor produces lemons.
It isn't a matter of opinion. Their chambers seriously are not fully supported. Anecdotal evidence is nice, but this is straight from the horse's mouth.Originally posted by Clive Solo

As long as you aren't firing exceptionally hot loads, it should be fine though. 165 grain rounds should be fine, so long as they're copper jacketed.
Just because you can get away with something doesn't make it safe. Minimizing risk is one thing, but it's not a good idea to pretend that it doesn't exist.
The rare photo of me in a suit:
omg the Sam!!
I don't think I've seen you without your glasses before.
