Resurgence [Star Wars: Old Republic Era]
Over 1,000 years have passed since the end of the Great Hyperspace War and the subsequent purge of the Sith from the known galaxy. Though the Galactic Republic has faced numerous threats, it has managed to thrive and maintain a relative peace. The Jedi Order, believing its long time foe to have been eradicated, grew and prospered as guardians of the Republic.
However, one Sith Lord and a group of survivors escaped the Republic's slaughter of their kind and fled to the Unknown Regions. There, he re-founded the Empire, assumed the title of Sith Emperor, and created a council of other Sith Lords to rule under him. Using the power of the dark side, the Emperor kept himself alive for over a thousand years, rebuilding the Empire's strength and promising his people revenge on the Republic and Jedi.
After 1,300 years of relative peace, a dark force builds in the farthest reaches of the galaxy...

Resurgence is an alternate universe (AU) Star Wars role-play site set in the year 3,681 BBY (referred to on the site as year 21,372) during the Old Republic era. We are an intermediate to advanced play-by-post forum with no required word count. Our board is rated 3/3/3 on the Universal RPG Rating System (rated R for mature content).
As an AU site, Resurgence gives our admin and members more creative freedom than a non-AU site would allow. Events that have been established in the official Star Wars lore are not necessarily canon here. This allows our members to shape the events of the galaxy through participation in board plots.
Resurgence tries to cater to all of our members, whether they are staunch fans of the Star Wars universe or are newcomers to the fandom. We don't expect you to be an expert on Star Wars and we try to provide as much information on the lore as possible so that you can play your character the way you choose.
We are LGBT+ friendly and accepting of people from all walks of life. We aim to provide a safe, pleasant environment for our members to play in. Community-driven, we highly encourage members to join in by adding lore, being a part of board plots, and interacting with other players. We offer Dungeon Master, Random Event, and Reward systems to our members.
