Out of curiosity, is there a specific reason for this or just a preference? I actually prefer the wide-width myself over the narrow look of the fixed width.

I'm of the mind I'd like to be able to control text width via window width myself. I tend to run some sites narrower than others to speed up reading.

Most of it is me experimenting with new things that I'm figuring out. It's not permanent :)

Plans for tomorrow:

• make F/W Enclave style
• finish buttons and icons for Basic Light
• finish buttons and icons for Basic Dark
• start on new Default style
• overhaul Black Sun and make it more unique
• touch up Endor to make it feel more like the forest moon
• build buttons and icons for the Coruscant Night style

Things to Consider!

There are a few styles that I'm not sure we need so much anymore, so I want to propose either deleting them or switching their motif.

Nual - Delete or???
Cloud City - revamp into the Cizerack style?
Empire - roll into the Death Star style so that it is our official Imperial style?
Myth - Delete or???

I loved old nual. If we can bring that back to it's scummy glory I'd use it more.

Totally cool with a cizerack style as well, and merging death star into a single imperial style is nice.

Myth I don't think we need anymore.

Myth is a cool styleset, even if what it was inspired by is defunct (for now...???). If it's not hurting anyone I'd just keep it. I use it for a character or two.

I've no problems keeping styles for touching up, but those will probably be towards the end of the line in terms of the list, hehe.

As far as Nual, I can have a try at recreated something as close as possible to what it used to be, but no promises :)

The new Black Sun is essentially done. If anyone comes across anything broken with it, send a note my way so I can fix it.

Looks nice - however on the 'Profile' page the info on the lower left hand side when you scroll down is unreadable (white text on white background).

A good chunk of what you're talking about can be done by individual users by hitting the 'customize my profile' button on the right. And thanks :)

I'll try again on the white on white issue tomorrow. I've gone through the list too many times to count and still can't find it, which tells me that I need to step away from it for a little bit after spending all day doing this, heh.

Yeah, it's taken care of on the user end. After you hit the 'customize my profile' button, hit the 'default' option, then save.

Have started preliminary work on a possible new default style. If you wish to see it, it is Def1 in the styleset dropdown. It is far from finished, but I'll happily take thoughts that others may have such as icon image ideas, etc.

Personally I'd be happy just choosing one of the current schemes (like 'Blues') and just making that the default one - we already have 15 or so to choose from. Saves you the trouble of making up yet another theme which needs to be maintained (for me, the 'Blues' theme with the new banner would look great). :)

And I'd thought about using the Blues as the default (and it's certainly doable if folks want), but I also had wanted to try my hand at the classic blue/gold/black Star Wars theme. I plan on rolling the Imperial style into the much more stark Deathstar style, and axing the old leftover Imp style. There were a few other things I was going to do with some of the other styles, like turning the Cloud City one into a Cizerack one, and I know folks like Nual, but it'd be tedious trying to recreate that old awesome grunge look. I'm game to try, but it would take a bit.

Put in a starfield background and evened out the blue/gold ratio.

Ok, most if not all of the major stuff should be done for the def1 style. Please let me know if you find anything off with it. I'm sure I missed something somewhere, so more eyes looking the better :)
