"Poor sap, 'e 'as no idea..." Ri grinned broadly, watching Kalail with evident pleasure, and absently handing her menu over to the server. There was nothing about the woman that she didn't adore.
Her own fingers chose a slice of bread and slathered it in the spicy sauce. A bite earned a sigh of pleasure as the heat slid across her senses. It was delectable, spicy and yet still buttery. Their drinks were soon delivered, and the sweet alcohol was the perfect counterpoint.
Tilting her head, Ri met Kalail's gaze and spoke, her voice emerging warm.
"So love, ah was thinkin'...what if we took a couple of days off? Trekked out to some little resort and sat ourselves on a beach? Just the two of us."
-
Kalail grinned appreciatively at her lover's assessment of the waiter's ignorance. It was the first genuine emotion crossing her face since their discussion back at the Vigo's office. "It jus' better be good. They dun wanna cross me an' my delectable palate."
Winking, she felt more at ease right now then previously. They had fallen back into their original pattern of known intimacy, without all of the heavy burdens that had falling upon their shoulders hours ago. Such thoughts were quickly sipped away with her drink.
"Ahh," she cooed and leaned back in her chair enjoying the smooth taste of liquor tickling her throat, "Much better."
Licking her lips, her eyes locked with that of Ri's and the redhead took that as an invitation to speak her mind. The idea was appealing and it didn't involve the kid. Not yet at least. Just the two of them, alone, to do whatever they pleased. Perhaps it could allow Kalail the time to adjust to the truth of what her desires were and what Ri had admitted.
The ice clinked against the sides of the glass that was rolled back and forth in Kalail's hand, never once looking as if it were to fall. Then finally, she gave a smile of approval. "Ah think it's an excellent idea. Ah've got th' feelin' you've already got sumtin' in mind? Why ya also came ta see me today?"
-
She polished off her bread and her drink in very short order, motioning to their passing server for another. Sucking on one of the ice chunks that remained in her glass, Ri watched the thoughts tumble around in her lover's head.
The idea seemed to appeal to her, a fact for which the redhead was immensely grateful. It would perhaps afford them the opportunity to relax and let everything that happened earlier sink in.
"Ahm so glad, luv. Ah did come back early just ta surprise ya. You've been workin' so hard, and ah'v been away so much. Ah do have an idea. How about Dremulae? Someone who owes me a favor offered a few days at one of the resorts there. Private cabin, right on the water. Pink sand, turquoise ocean, tropical drinks..." Irridia said brightly, propping her chin up on her hand, her sea-green eyes lingering on Kalail.
-
Kalail was sipping her drink and allowing the effects of spice take its effect slowly. Despite her standoffish attitude that froze the Vigo from speaking her mind, she wasn't in the mood to get hammered yet. Ri on the other hand polished one drink and was starting on the second. A brief thought crossed her mind and she wondered if it was because of her. It was a very brief thought because they always got hammered together. This was nothing knew and she was being paranoid.
Ri seemed overly pleased that Kalail was willing to take a few days off. It made the corners of her mouth twitch in approval because that look was quite appealing on the redhead.
"Someone owes ya ah favor?" said the Vigo with a startled laugh. "Tha's some favor darlin'. Dremulae ain't cheap an' neither are th' resorts."
She leaned forward, finding herself being hypnotized by those amazing eyes. Just the right look either got Kalail aggressive or melting. It all depends on her mood and right now she felt like she was drowning in that sea of green.
"Who'd ya kill ta get tha' kinda favor?" she asked a bit more quietly, just in case that was the reason.
-
Sea green eyes were dark with delight as she leaned over to steal a spice-laden kiss from her lover. And then another, lingering, before she sat back.
A pleased smile curled her plump lips as a peal of laughter issued forth. "Nah, luv, nothin' like tha'. But ah did run an Imperial blockade with a full cargo-hold of bacta. 'E owed me big, so when 'e offered Dremulae, ah jumped on it."
Soon enough, their meals were served, and both women tucked in with a hearty appetite. Irridia purred with appreciation as she savored her first spoonful of the rich, spicy stew. Eyes fell half-lidded as she savored another, and then carefully gathered up a spoonful to offer to Kalail.
"Luv, ya hafta try this..."
-
Kalail licked her lips as she listened, and was disappointed. An Imperial blockade with medical supplies was not the epic tale she was hoping for, which probably showed on her face. The only consolation was the vacation won that they would be privy to. That was a reason to be elated of the outcome.
"Sounds positively boring," she teased back as their plates were set down. Her ribs were amazing. The sweetness burst away into a powerful heat that ran down the length of her tongue, leaving it a tingling mess. It was glorious.
Raising a cautious brow in challenge, Kalail smirked. "Well, if you insist ..."
She leaned forward and slowly placed her lips around the prongs of the fork and as she pulled back, teeth scrapped the length until the morsel popped off the end. Perhaps not as spicy as her own dish, it was still delicious and the succulent taste of the meat deserved to be savored.
-
"Tasty, isn't it?"
Irridia grinned as Kalail savor the morsel, watching as the enjoyment played out across her features. She'd also seen the measure of disappointment cross her lover's features at the true story of the favor, and knew she'd been hoping for...no, expecting...a far more grand tale of hijinks.
One sea-green orb winked as she proffered Kalail another spoonful before settling back to enjoy her stew and the fresh drink that finally arrived.
"It was borin', ta tell ya tha truth. But its getting us a free vacation, so who cares?"
-
She took the offering playfully, munching it down with more gusto to appear far more satisfied by the flavor then the last bite. In truth, Kalail just liked the moment between them. They were just behaving as they always did - playful and flirty. The candor flowing between them with ease. So much more palatable then the conversation they had back in her office.
"Well, ah'm quite certain tha' we can count on one t'ing, darlin'." Masked by the lengthy tablecloth, the Vigo freed her foot from the shoe and let the tip of her toes run up the side of her lover's leg achingly slow to accentuate her purring words. "Th' vacation is gonna be far, very far from borin' ..."
-
The smile that slid across her plump lips was firmly seated between lustful and wicked. A perfect blend of both, even as her teeth captured her bottom lip, with Kalail's foot teasing the bare skin of her thigh above her tall suede boot.
Gods, the effect the woman had on her. It had always been that way, since the very moment they'd locked eyes across a crowded cantina on Budpock. One look, one touch, hell, a single word could set the crimson-haired smuggler on fire.
Which, given Kalail's delicious proclivity for flames, shouldn't have been a surprise.
Irridia dropped one hand down to trace her fingertips along her lover's foot and ankle, a soft sound of pleasure passing her lips as she did. Fingers lingered there on her soft skin, while she arched a brow and slanted a darkened sea-green gaze toward the blue orbs cast her way.
"Li'ara, we juss can't do borin' when we're togetha...like Nen said last tahm we were on Nar Shaddaa...we're too damn hot."
