The Chief of State - Chief of State is the title given to the head of civil government for the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Officially, the Chief of State is the President of the Senate and civilian Commander-in-Chief of the Alliance Military.

The Advisory Council - The Advisory Council is composed of representatives of seven Alliance governments who have given the most lives in battle to defeating the Empire. This council is the primary advisory body to the Chief of State, responsible for approving or disapproving the proposals of the Chief of State. Furthermore, the Advisory Council has the right to dismiss a Chief of State with a two-thirds majority vote, providing a check to the powers of the Chief.

The Alliance Cabinet - The Cabinet is a central organ of the Rebel Alliance civil government consisting of the heads of its ministries. Cabinet members are responsible for converting the Chief of State's policy decisions into realized action items. Its membership included the Ministers of Finance, Education, State, Industry, Supply, and War, and the Secretary of the Cabinet.

Alliance Fleet - The majority of the strength of the Alliance Forces is concentrated in the Rebel fleet. While only consisting of a small fraction of the ships available to the Imperial Navy, the Rebel fleet is the most powerful single military unit available to the Alliance High Command. Due to the scarcity of funds for the Rebellion, most warships employed in the Rebel fleet are either captured or donated by friendly/allied individuals and worlds, the vessels that were openly bought were usually cheap and/or outdated.

Alliance Special Forces (SpecForce) - Specifically selected for high skill, morale, bravery, and dedication to the Rebel cause, SpecForce soldiers are often either from subjugated worlds, or were Imperials disillusioned by the government's tyranny.

Alliance Special Operations - also known as or SpecOps is the organization that the Rebel Alliance assigns its most capable recruits. It has two levels of operation: Mission Groups and Special Ops Teams. Both are categorized by personnel that were exceedingly skilled, talented, and prone to cockiness.

Alliance Intelligence is a branch of the Alliance to Restore the Republic responsible for obtaining and analyzing military, diplomatic and economic information and reporting such information to the relevant branches of the Alliance. The Chief of Intelligence oversees Intentions, Operations and Counter-Intelligence branches, which contain departments of Cryptology, Interrogation, and Equipment; Systems Ops, Passive Ops, and Coordinate; and Security and Retrieval respectively. Through the organization's many operatives, analysts and personnel, information is channeled up to Senior Intelligence Officers, who present the Chief with daily briefs on the most crucial topics.

Alliance Support Services are responsible for the Rebel supply fleet, a collection of transports ranging from light freighters to bulk freighters. Most of these ships are slow, poorly armed, and outdated, making them vulnerable to Imperial attack. Larger ships are relatively rare. Though the Alliance is actually well supplied from friendly agriworlds and Rebel safe worlds, their overstretched fleet makes it difficult to keep the fleet and the troops in the field properly supplied.
