Character Background
Older cousin of Kes Akiena, their fathers were fraternal twins.
Has three younger sisters.
Has been married twice, both ending up in divorce. Ex-wife #1 is Anita, and ex-wife #2 is Marichel. He is at least remains on amicable terms with Anita, but Marichel continues to despise him.
Raw Material
Never really wanted to be a part of the conflict between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance.
Went to flight school for commercial shuttle pilots, and eventually started his own small civilian shuttle service.
After a successful short-ish stint as a shuttle pilot, Thom decided to join the Nexcore Mining Corporation as a pilot for one of their submersible drilling platforms on Velusia.
Has found a lot of enjoyment in spending time under water, and actually prefers it to space travel these days.
