While the court had begrudgingly accepted Alice as the Queen's new guard Commander, and the people of Iziz had eventually welcomed her, pockets of unrest had flared on Dagri, one of the moons of Onderon. One of the local tribe had especially been stirring trouble in the recent months, pushing against royal authority, and it had become a more obvious rebellion against the "foreigner" ensuring Lady Adraudia's safety. It wasn't that surprising; although it was noticeable that this tribe had never really cared about what happened in the rest of the system until now. Alice suspected it was a conjunction of circumstances and opportunism.
Regardless of the tribe's motivation, the monarch had granted her permission to go squash that rebellion herself. If they wanted a proof that she wasn't going to tolerate disrespect to the queen - or to herself - she was going to provide it, violently and definitely if required.
Given the nature of the scouts' reports, it only required a single platoon to deal with the situation. She had picked Staff Sergeant Rodrik Praji and his team to join her to squash the uprising. At this point, diplomacy was no longer an option, so the coup de force was next in line.
They had arrived at a local base a couple of days ago and checked the area. She didn't want the element of surprise in this case, so the tribe knew they had arrived and had began to reinforce one of their bases. It was their destination for the next morning.
The night was getting late and the briefing just got dismissed. She looked at Rodrik who was still reviewing the holo-map over the console.
"Hopefully this will serve as example for any other locals who think that talking shit will earn them some popularity."
