Character Background
Under the watchful care of Ambassador Wrath (https://www.sw-fans.net/forum/member.php?5444-Ambassador-Wrath), a former Mandalorian Death Watch commando began to create a new series of super battle droids on Hypori
Made of beskar, these droids were designed to search and eliminate Force users
Many prototypes were made to test the combat capabilities against different targets. D3X-99 is one such droid
Outfitted with rocket packs, whipcord launchers, gas grenades, and all manner of weapons designed to target Force users, D3X-99 was sent on a recon mission to find potential targets to eliminate
The idea was that after several iterations, the perfect assassin droid would be developed
D3X-99 passed through an electrical storm on the way to a new target, which shorted-out his memory core and hive-mind uplink to Hypori, irreparably damaging both systems
D3X-99 is now adrift in space, waiting for an enterprising individual to make use of his talents
Raw Material
D3X-99 is struggling with a slowly-developing personality matrix, and assimilates the traits of those he is in contact with the most
He is but one of many prototypes stranded amongst the galaxy. Who knows what fates have befallen the others
All of the droids have a sensor that allows them to know when they are close to each other. They are programmed to seek each other out and fight to the death, with the winner assimilating the programming of the others, Highlander like
He currently wrestles with the personality matrix of one of his predecessors, L4M-22, who had adapted to the farming life on Dantooine
Although he looks like a super battle droid from the Clone Wars, he is clearly modified. He also takes trophies from those he kills, and displays them proudly
There are still plenty of sentients who remember the Clone Wars, and won't take a second thought before blasting at D3X-99
D3X-99 likes murder. A lot. He has dreams of committing a genocide of his own, if droids dream that is
Plot Ideas
Assassin work is his forte
Jedi and Sith alike will be looking to end this droid's existence after taking out their comrades
A skilled slicer might want to see if they can change the droid's allegiances
