Character Background
Second child of Canaan and Kaia Par'Vizal, a member of the Imperial Military (Army Medic, Colonel) and former administrator with COMPNOR respectively.
Older sister died during Palpatine's reign during a skirmish between Imperial and Rebellion forces near the the University of Coruscant, where she was attending.
Father became obsessed with finding the truth of who was responsible for his daughter's death, unsure which side to blame and slowly slipped into alcoholism and other disciplinary issues that resulted in him being court martialed and dishonorably discharged from the Imperial services. He eventually left the planet and his family to continue his search. Without word from him for several years, he was assumed dead.
Mother - who hid her force sensitivity for years to anyone but her immediate family - became lost in her grief. This only compounded when Canaan "left" and "died". She became a deathstick addict and eventually committed suicide.
Jensen was only a child when his sister was killed and had to grow up watching his parents fall apart.
When his mother died he applied to be legally considered an adult to avoid being put in a foster system. He case is still "pending' but he has been living off his parents' estate as well as money made committing acts of petty crime.
Raw Material
He has known he was a Force Sensitive since before his sister died and so has had time to try and make use of it.
Has an Eidetic Memory, which he tries to not draw attention to and often despises due to his past experiences.
Is a little bit of a snob sometimes, appreciates the "finer" things in life.
Really enjoys puzzling things out, is more a "mental" force user than a "physical" one.
Has some issues with feeling empathy.
Obviously has serious abandonment/worthiness issues but shh.
Has a few secrets regarding his family's past that he really rather not divulge:
Jensen was there when his mother killed herself. He could have called for help and stopped it from happening but didn't because she asked him not to.
After his mother's death, Jensen actually attempted to "follow in her footsteps", but the power cell on his dad's old blaster was depleted, something he discovered only after pulling the trigger
Plot Ideas
Some downtime would be good?
Knock the boy down a peg, he's answering too well in his classes.
KILL A PUPPY! I mean... err... Maybe not that direct, but yes, I'd love to find out if he's actually capable of killing someone/thing and not caring.
Let's bring in some contraband (nothing serious, I'm talking like junk food we can't get or something) into the Citadel, I may know a guy who knows a guy who can get things.
Existing Relationships
Lúka Jibral - The Knight who recruited him and brought him to the Citadel. Not quite sure what to make of.
Xi Vanadís - Maybe not quite a friend so much as an ally within the Citadel.
Other Cadets - Still isn't entirely sure what to make of most of them. Has a strange not-quite superiority complex and yet respect for them all.
Other Imperial Knights - Respects those he's had as teachers, hasn't really made any connections with any of them.

Snowmageddon, maybe getting to know his fellow cadets better and stop thinking of them in rather unkind terms.
