CZ-31 - "SLEAZY"
"27" :: Independent / The Exchange :: Protocol Droid / Counterfeiter
Currently on Cloud City

Character Background

Sleazy was originally owned by Atton Kira. Officially he acted as the holographer for Kira's Holonet News articles; unofficially he was used to gather information, and to assist with data analysis.
He was later acquired by Vittore Montegue. Sleazy assisted in compiling background information on Vittore's bounty targets, and in creating false credentials and counterfeit documents if and when required.
Since Vittore partnered up with Sadie K'Vesh, he has had less need for Sleazy's skills. The droid continues to work behind the scenes as needed, and has begun to assist with other aspects of The Exchange, such as logistics, accounting, and protocol. His droid credentials for Cloud City officially list him as an asset of Elysian Acquisitions.

Raw Material

When owned by Atton Kira, Sleazy was modified with a spit personality. His primary personality was that of a benign communications droid, but a particular code phrase would switch him to a partitioned operating system that had access to his higher intelligence broking functions. After his acquisition by Vittore Montegue, that back up personality was customised to resemble his Uncle Elroy, adding an Outer Rim vernacular and a more gruff (and openly insulting) personality. Sleazy very rarely reverts to his benign personality, but can do so in emergencies as a security measure.
Vittore war not fond of the appearence (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/CZ-series_communications/business_droid) of Sleazy. He stripped all of Sleazy's outer coverings, intending to replace them with a less objectionable alternative, but never got around to finishing the process. Sleazy now operates "naked", save for a battered old hat that he wears to "keep the sun off" his central processor.

Plot Ideas

Sleazy spends most of his time in and around the Elysian Acquisitions hangar. If you want a passing encounter with a grumpy droid who'll call you an idget, this is definitely a thing that can happen.
Sleazy is a pro at creating false identities and/or documentation. If it's papers to get problematic cargo through customs, fake licences and documentation for ships or weapons, fake prescriptions, a reprogrammed transponder for your ship, a green card for your Alliance lover, a new identity to escape your murderous ex-wife... he can hook you up, for the right price.
He's also pretty experienced at compiling information for people. If you want a dossier on a political rival or a business competitor, info about a planet you're about to fly to that you've never visited before, a manual on Rodian erogenous zones, or even the perfect date idea for that cute barista at Stratobucks, Sleazy can find out for you. If it's benign or mostly legal, he will probably hook you up himself; big deal information broking though will get passed up the chain to The Exchange.
If you are looking to do business with Elysian Acquisitions, but are not "fancy enough" (or too in need of privacy) to just waltz into their public office on the upper levels, Sleazy might be a good place to start. Also, if you need to find Vittore Montegue for a job and have already scoped out all the bars, Sleazy will know how to find him.
Interactions with "legitimate" people on Cloud City. Imperials? Proper business people?
Interactions with not-so-legitimate people on Cloud City. Black Sun? Tenloss? Hutts? Other gangs?
Pretty much anything else! I really want to do more with this cranky asshole.

Existing Relationships

Atton Kira - Sleazy's original/previous owner. (Former) news reporter by day, information broker by night.
Vittore Montegue - Sleazy's current owner. Bounty hunter, on retainer with the exchange.
Sadie K'Vesh - Sleazy's "housemate" on the Crimson Tide, and his "replacement" as Vittore's go-to tech support.
Nen Lev'i - Idget.
Emelie Shadowstar - Everyone's boss. The one person Sleazy isn't deliberately mean to.
