Character Background


Irkalla was adopted by a well-off family, who hailed from Coronet City, when she was a baby.
Her disregard for rules and penchant for mischief seemed traits that were innate, intensifying when she hit her teenage years.
Her adoptive parents thought to ground her by placing her under employment at their pharmeceutical company. Instead, Irkalla left Corellia for the Hosnian System; where she became a bartender and singer at one of the capital city's premiere nightclubs, Torrent.



Raw Material


Irkalla has always had strange, vivid dreams of a second-life. Many of them are spent in a palace where her every whim is indulged; thus, she can come off quite spoiled, demanding, and impulsive.
While she is more content with her life on Hosnian Prime than Corellia, Irkalla still feels as though something is missing from her life; making her very flighty where relationships, living arrangements, and her occupations are concerned.
Her best friend, Lydia, is the only person that is aware of her Force sensitivity; which has steadily grown more prominent with the passing of time. Most demonstrations of this are executed in times of anger, sadness, and even fear.
There is an underlying, guiding voice that oftentimes leads her to winning against outrageous odds, giving her an edge and addiction to gambling in the local casinos.
She is currently amassing some funds for purpose of locating her biological parents.


Plot Ideas


She is fairly well known in the Core Worlds for her singing talents. Anyone wanting to drop by Torrent to socialize is welcome.
Any miscreant types looking to get up to some mischief are Kalla's favorite types to interact with.
She rotates through the circuit of casinos on Hosnian Prime but is not against traveling to other casinos offworld. I could definitely see her 'cheating' getting her into a lot of trouble, one day.
She enjoys gambling but also dangerous pastimes like racing her speeder-bike in the crystal dunes of Darropolis.

Darra and Emel Void - adoptive parents, business owners on Corellia heavily involved in pharmeceutical distribution.
Lydia Gendrea - best friend, works with Irkalla at Torrent, and is her current roommate.

While I don't personally have any characters that would likely cross path with her, I'm digging Irkalla so far! It'll be interesting to see where she goes, and what she decides to do with her Force awareness. =)

She is not. I figured I'd make it seem like she was on Hosnian Prime... you know.. before it went the way of all good things. I imagine the planet was around before TFA. The planet looked so cool in the movie and I figured it'd be interesting to write there. I can always change it if you figure it wasn't around just yet.

Oh it's definitely around in present era, it's just not the capital of anything yet, which is why I was curious.

Capital City seems apt. Since the planet is unexplored in canon (or before in Legend) the megapolis capital of the planet went under one name (Republic City) because the New Republic in The Force Awakens shifted every few years via election their location for the Senate. It was only the galactic capital for a set time, however, it is likely it was the planet's capital. That said, I do find the character interesting and welcome you to the site. If, and when, you are ready to RP shoot me a PM (or others in the Character Plotters) and I'll see what sort of fun ideas we can come up with.

Thanks, everyone! I hope to get an open thread up at some point today and we'll see where Irkalla goes from there.

As a side note, I noticed that there is some activity on Corellia between the factions. I wouldn't be opposed to her parents getting caught in the crossfire.
