Character Background

Born to an affluent family on New Cov.
Family were staunch Republic supporters, and supported the Empire later on.
After an aimless stint at university, Anbira enrolled in the Stormtrooper academy on Carida.
Joined the Stormtrooper Corps upon academy graduation, assigned to Scout Recon, 550th Legion.
Stationed on Felucia for two years during the Imperial occupation, assigned to patrol for enemy contacts.
Anbira's tour of duty brought intense disillusionment at the morality of his choices.
Crashed his speeder during an insurgent ambush and was nearly killed when he was thrown free from the wreck.
Missing and presumed dead, Anbira spent months surviving in the Felucian wilderness, his sudden change of conscience stopping him short of reuniting with the Imperial forces on the planet.
During Anbira's isolation, he began to hear voices and see ghostly apparitions, claiming to be Jedi long dead. The "spirits" guided Anbira to embrace a feeling within him he'd always felt, but never had a name for.
Anbira spent years as a hermit on Felucia, communing with Jedi spirits in his solitude. He learned of the Jedi ways through their teachings.
Eventually, an opportunity arose to help a wayward Jedi Knight named Wei Wu Wei and a handful of fugitive rebels, and Anbira assisted in their escape from Felucia. In exchange, Wei delivered Anbira to the Jedi Order in hiding.

Raw Material

Anbira's host of spirit guides include those of Master Yoda, Qui Gon Jinn, Obi Wan Kenobi, and Anakin and Luke Skywalker.
Anbira's time as a hermit has instilled in him a deep sense of austerity. He owns no possessions save for his lightsaber, his old stormtrooper armor, and a few tools purchased to tend to a plot of land.
During a communion with the spirits, Anbira witnessed his impending future death, which shook his resolve to the Jedi path.
In keeping with Anakin Skywalker's preference, Anbira has adopted both techniques of Form V lightsaber combat.
Anbira is still haunted by his brief service in the Empire, and seeks atonement through the Jedi path.
Despite his misgivings, Anbira's service gives him insight into Imperial tactics and procedure which have proven helpful often enough.
The Jedi Spirits have guided Anbira to the understanding of the Mystery of the Whills, leaving him as the only remaining Jedi presently who knows how to endure through the Force after death.
Anbira wears a wild mane of hair, barely kempt in a rough ponytail. He keeps a long beard. He spends his days of peace by laboring in the fields as a farmer, wearing simple homespun clothing. When he is called to fight, Anbira wears a basic tunic reinforced by his hodgepodge reclaimed stormtrooper armor.
Due to his perceived limited time among the living, Anbira is reluctant to take padawans, but not completely unwilling under the right circumstances.

Plot Ideas

Anbira always has use for Jedi with too much free time on their hands. Crops don't harvest themselves.
With plenty of combat experience, Anbira is often tasked into dangerous missions away from Ossus, and can prove to be a capable companion if you're headed that way.
Anbira is a capable instructor in Form V combat, and can help those who need it.
Likewise, Anbira often helps padawans and younglings master the art of guided meditation.
A possibility exists that there are Imperials out there who served with Anbira during the Felucian occupation. Crossing paths again would be interesting.

Ndonsa: Padawan - Anbira was reluctant to take the Nehantite as his learner, but she has proven to be a great student.
