Alrighty, guess I should post this and wait to see if anyone takes a nibble.

I'd like to do the whole newbie jedi to the order thing, ya know... Being figured out, getting recruited.. Yadda yadda yadda.

My character will begin as a criminal, maybe an enforcer or something? I have no fragging clue. But the whole beginning criminal thing is appealing, if any knight or master would want to recruit a new blood Padawan into the fold of the alliance or whatever it is we have going on here then I'd very much love to try and plot out the scenario and possible outcome with you.

I plan on making this either a sentinel, shadow or maybe a sage! eventually.. I hope. Anyone want to figure out where to begin the story here? :D

Welcome aboard!

Do you have any idea who your character works for, or where you'll be operating? That could make a big difference in terms of how you're brought into the Jedi fold. The galaxy is currently in a state of cold war with the Empire on one side of the border and the Rebel Alliance, now known as the Alliance of Free Stars, on the other. There are also still regions controlled by the Hutts, Black Sun, and other criminal syndicates.

If you're in Imperial space when your Force sensitivity becomes known, you may become a target for the Knights of the Imperial Throne, who have a doctrine of mandatory service or capture for all Force adepts. In the Alliance... well, they don't like criminals, either, but they'd be likely to consult the Jedi if they encounter one who can use the Force.

Hmm. the Cartel might be interesting. Forgive me but I have little knowledge of the Force Awakens Expansion. Will need to do a bit of research. If I had a choice it'd either be the Black Sun or the Cartel, just don't know how to go about it right now. I mean from what I understand Coruscant is still in ruin, correct? Probably wont be able to operate there I don't think.

The Smugglers Moon would be nice, maybe Ryloth. I don't like Sith, old wound and all. Other than that I'd have to do a bit of a search to try and figure it all out from here.

Sanis is a capo in Black Sun, running front casinos and illicit operations from Bespin in imperial space. He used to, however, be a captain in the Rebel Alliance, and knows a thing or two about getting Jedi to safety. He's primarily self interested but he isn't immune from doing the right thing if he can afford it

Coruscant isn't in ruins, it's the capital of the Empire

I see. Well I'm not a jedi... yet. Could be a nice thing to have contacts though.
You're former Alliance, Sanis? Could be useful.

Likewise, if you run afoul of the Alliance, one way you might rehabilitate is by meeting Cirrsseeto, who used to serve in the secret Jedi flotilla with Sanis

For clarification, we do have a spin-off setting in the era of The Force Awakens, but our main setting is about five years after Return of the Jedi, with some alterations. All canon characters are gone so we could fill those roles with our own characters, and both the Empire and the Alliance now possess interstellar ballistic missiles (Starkillers) capable of razing a planet or switching off a star. A treaty was drawn up to prevent mutual destruction, and Starkillers now serve as a nuclear deterrent to open warfare. Hence the cold war.

And no matter what J. J. Abrams tells you, we came up with the idea of a superweapon named Starkiller first. :)

Well then. I might have to go hunt for the actual History then. I so far have only noticed one for the Force Awakens.. Thanks for letting me know. :)

I don't intend in running afoul with the Rebels until a much later altercation.. Planning ahead, even then it doesn't seem like a possibility. Unless of course they dislike Grey's.

I can offer Kaie, my Jedi Master to help you into the Jedi once we get to that part. :)

If you're going for a grey state, the Imperial Knights are actually fairly lax about one's light/dark alignment. They're more a political apparatus than a philosophical one. Light side, dark, or in between, the only real qualifier is an oath of loyalty to the Empress and the Empire.

Thanks. Maybe I'll eventually create another for that, this will be a Rebel Jedi. :D

Well in that case, the invitation to be chased is always open to you.
