View Full Version : The Executor's Suicide Squad.

Tear
Jul 20th, 2016, 05:21:18 PM
I want to build a team of some very bad people who I think could do...some terrible things.

Tear, as the Executor of the Empire is forming a Suicide Squad of sorts. I’ve made mention of it in my plotter but I thought I would post it here in case anyone was interested.

Basically, ‘the best of the worst’: Murderers, Psychopaths, Bounty Hunters, Mercenaries, Sith, Fallen Jedi, Former or current Inquisitors, Prisoners, or Assassins, anyone can apply and I do mean anyone.

If you’re mad or depraved, but have a specialized skill set then you’re the one we want. This will be a team. So in accordance to that we’re looking for members to fill roles. I don’t have specific roles in mind but the emphasis on specialties will make for a better team dynamic. The Squad has to work together on missions utilizing their skills and if they don’t? Well, people die.

Like the Avengers or the Xmen etc, Iron Man can’t face down all the threats he has to work with the team to achieve success in the face of major obstacles and there will be major obstacles.

This team will be the Executors right hand. His covert, or sometimes, not so covert strike force to inspire terror in the galaxy. You may ask yourself “Since Tear is an Imperial should my character love the Empire?” Not at all. Hate the Empire. Hate the Rebellion. Hate everyone, even yourself. Makes no difference, play the character however you wish!

If you’re interested apply below, or even shoot me a PM!

So far we’ve got two members: A pilot and a Chemist. Lots of room left.

This is going to be fun. :mischief

I'll be your pilot (Navy advanced experience) and am also a military scientist, specializing in geology and astronavigation. We'll find new routes and new resources to use.

Cornyx Larr. Specialty in applied chemistry. Toxins, gas, explosives. Capable of completing 72% of field medic duties. Bandage wound, remove gangrenous limbs, emergency surgery. Bedside manner non-existent. Developing suite of combat stimulants to make healthy soldier better. Conclusion: do not become injured.

Would recommend change squad designation. Suicide too dark. Damage morale.

Haha, love it. If everyone interested could also list their skills and specialties like Cornyx did. It would be much appreciated. It will help evaluate the squads capabilities and team dynamics.

I do want the worst. Come on in.

Sith, half-man half-machine, all monster. Former Imperial Stormtrooper and former apprentice of Darth Acera (Loklorien s'Ilancy). Cannibalistic tendencies. Primary skill-set: infiltration, murder and being a creepy motherfucker.

*LovesVega* But only temporarily. lol

Lykeira - Sith assassin with talents in poisons developed from local flora and fauna, in some cases. Sadistic, militant with many fun ways to interrogate - then dump the evidence in a vat of acid. If she's bored, that is. Knows blasters and firearms, though prefers either using the Force or lightsaber for the up close and personal, intimate moments watching as their life ebbs away.

How much're you paying?

Serasai Onashi, Mercenary. If it shoots, I can shoot it at people you pay me to shoot at. If it drives and shoots, I can drive and shoot it at people you pay me to drive and shoot at. If it explodes, I can explode it on people you pay me to make explode. I'm also CQC trained and specialized, and have worked in various PMCs across the galaxy.

Pay me right, and I'll fight a war for you.

The Empire banks are fat with credit, but we both know you're not looking for money. We'll find some Hutts for you to kill, Onashi.

The Squad (so far):
Cornyx Larr (Cornyx The Red) – Chemist/Medic
Clea Larson – Pilot/Geologist
Va1n – Cybernetic Warfare/Android
Vega Van-Derveld – Sith/Cyborg/Cannibal
Lykeira – Sith/Assassin/Botanist
Onashi- Mercenary/Smarmy

So far it's a pretty well rounded group of individuals and two of the four (edible) members are likely poisonous to consume. Sorry Vega. We'll have a mission for everyone soon.

One thing we may want to discuss is how your character came to be in the squad. I likely won't be doing an introductory thread for the squad or for particular characters unless its a special request. I would prefer we just dive right into a mission as a group having already been established. If you want to discuss how your character came to be in the squad here though, by all means.

Leaving it a mystery has its fun too!

I intend on making a separate thread where I kill my creators and escape only to end up in the hands of the Imperials, then being transferred to you. So no need for much introductions on my part but I'm assuming it will be Va1n's first mission with working with anyone, and really his first mission of any sort like that. The general gist has been explained to him, comply or be dismantled. Survival wins out. Assuming I have some kind of kill-switch installed that allows an inordinate amount of freedom up to a certain point that prevents me from killing everyone else and escaping.

Still pondering how exactly Clea will have joined the group, so I'll probably leave it as a bit of a mystery until I figure it out. I'm good jumping straight into things with the team already assembled!

All I know is that Clea was a willing participant. If she saw an opportunity as she was finishing her mandatory work with Jaemus Armed Forces, she'd have jumped on it. And having been raised by an imperial veteran more than by her own parents, it makes sense she goes the imperial way. As for exact details of recruitment, no idea, but I'll figure it out at some point.

Yeah, exactly. This is sort of why I wanted to discuss why characters are in the squad just so I'm aware of their state of mind within the group. Are they unwilling participants? Do we have a fail safe for them? Are they of mind to run or escape if the opportunity shows itself? Are they volunteers? etc. This sort of information will just be useful for interactions once we jump into a thread.

But again, like Clea, you can keep it a relative mystery if you want to play it out during threads. Tear just needs to look at your character and presume their state of mind: reluctant or willing.

You can probably assume that Vega is an unwilling participant, unless you're using the Dark Side around him.. in which case he might latch onto Tear as a potential teacher/source to leech power and knowledge from.

Either way, could be that Tear snatched him up during his flight from Pallaxides (http://theholo.net/forum/showthread.php?56591-Panic-on-Pallaxides&highlight=pallaxides).

Not gonna lie, I do kinda want to do an intro thread.

Tear and associate sitting and eating on Coruscant, sunset, next to a viewport with a vista of the skyline.

"We need someone else."

Cut to a pair of booted feet, walking on shining marble floors.

Cut back to Tear and associate.

"Someone who knows more than just to kill."

Cut back to the booted feet, zoomed out enough to show that their owner is surrounded by many others.

Back to Tear:

"Who isn't just a warrior."

The view on the feet continues to zoom out, showing the group's legs. The man in the middle is wearing green, as opposed to the others who are wearing black. The shining floor is now covered in dust, and there are pock marks and smoking craters. A line of benches comes into view: they are walking in a courtroom, once opulent and splendorous, now ravaged.

"Someone who can command, be commanded, but is more than a soldier."

The view now encompasses ONASHI with a pipe in his mouth, surrounded by soldiers, stopping in front of a line of soldiers dressed in tan, and an old man, all on their knees.

TEAR: "What we need, essentially, isn't someone who knows war and all it entails."

Onashi grins.

ONASHI: "Bad luck," he sighs out a cloud of smoke. "I haven't received any orders for the processing of prisoners."

The old man stares at him in defiance.

OLD MAN: "You'll kill us all, then?"

Onashi stops and looks at the old man intently, his face a picture of haggard years of war. Then it clears and he smiles.

TEAR: (voiceover) "We need someone who personifies war."

ONASHI: "Yep."

OLD MAN: "We surrendered!"

ONASHI turns and walks away, and the black clad soldiers fire. He walks out through a hole blown in the wall of the courthouse to soldiers cheering. His smile fades.

ONASHI: (despondent) "Looks like I need to find another war. Damn. I was just beginning to enjoy this one."

Cut back to Coruscant.

TEAR slides the datapad across the table, on it is a picture of ONASHI smirking, and the headline reads: MERCENARY LEADER ABSOLVED OF WAR CRIME CHARGES

TEAR: "I have a good feeling about this one."

It would be fun to have somewhat of an introductory thread, since this first mission is taking a while to put together / get started. :) I can even start one if you guys wanted, then allow the mission to carry what's left unsaid / undone as memories or part of a conversation during the mission. :D

"If anyone wishes to interact with this one, I am readily available. I assume we have some sort of special base or barracks set aside for us. At least some of us should be allowed to walk around freely, or else some sort of device, incentive, or threat put in place to force our cooperation. Those of us that required it, that is. The trash can stay in their cells."

Sorry for my delay in responding Lykeira! It's been a busy couple of weeks for me. #excuses.

For those that want to do an intro thread of some kind, by all means. Anyone who knows me is aware I'm not the quickest writer so I don't like to spread myself across too many threads but if you need Tear to make an appearance in some form just let me know.

Suicide Squad details that we can work out:

The ship - I had in mind something that held a U-boat aesthetic and atmosphere. While the ship itself is capable and predatory, it's insides new and sophisticated, it's small size would make quarters cramped and tensions between crew high at times. Maybe something like the Serenity from Firefly, where everyone has their bunk, gathering areas can fit the entire crew, but the hallways, cockpit and engine bay are cramped. Let me know what else everyone may want to have on the ship. Or if you have other ideas for a ship.

Ship name: Any recommendations?

Tear has a massive tower being constructed on Coruscant. While its main purpose is to house Tear and the majority of Imperial's military staff it can also easily house the Suicide squad. The tower reaches above most structures on Coruscant while at the same time spearing down into the lower levels. So those that want to escape into the seed underbelly of Imperial center can do so.

The tower is a massive construction project. It's sheer size makes traversing it on foot an exhausting prospect so there are multiple maglev trams shuttling traffic up and down it's spine. Some trams are public, other private and others are secret all together. Feel free to add any extra bits to the tower you may want to see.

Name of the tower: Any recommendations?

Team dynamics:

Codenames. While not essential it occurred to me that some members may not want their names to be used. Most comic book teams have code names. If you want one too you're more than welcome to post them here.

Methods of control. Typically suicide squad members have an explosive charge implanted to try and maintain control of the team. Since this is Star Wars we could have something similar. We could also go a more mystical route, Sith blood pact, or something. This would only apply to those who have been recruited against their will. Any suggestions?

Not a problem. :)

I like the smaller ship idea and was thinking of several that might fit that mold. I'll link them when I get a chance.

Ship Name(s): Malicious; Intrepid; Malice; ??

As far as a codename for Lykeira, she's not shy and doesn't care who knows that she's a part of the team, so don't see her making one up. In fact, having her deeds add to her growing reputation would only spur her on more. lol

The method of control could still be an explosive charge implanted into those reluctantly serving the Empire. Maybe a secretive outlying base has several Sluissi scientists involved that are using a Rakata sliver that compels those that are implanted to serve. Maybe Tear has been given the code word used in case they get out of line for some reason and creates a chemical reaction with the body that offers the subject with a gruesome death.

Imperial Hunter (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_Hunter)
Imperial Customs Frigate (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_Customs_Frigate)

Got to thinking that the team may give each other a codename anyway. lol "Mystique" is one that may fit. "Wytch" would also make sense.

For the tower: ??

I like the idea of the smaller ship too.

Possible ships names: Predator, Endgame, Tearjerker (I had to bring this pun I know :p), Reaper (or the French version: Faucheuse, Breton version Ankou).

Clea's call name is Eclair, so she would keep using that as a codename if needed for certain missions, but sees no need to hide her identity as I picture her s choosing this new assignment.

(and yes, too lazy to switch to Clea lol)

What's the status on this idea? I am planning to start writing Clea again and want to know some details as I will have her officially with the Empire then, and thus likely part of the team. Is there a specific status to be disclosed to fellow imperials or is the group a secret one? Just making sure that nothing classified is spilled by accident IC. ;)

Tear

Status is a go. I'm just been bad with writing lately. I'll start a thread this week(end?), by Monday.

In regards to character status with the Empire and the team I think it depends on that character. Some would be overtly Imperial and thus have Imperial ranking within the hierarchy. For these characters there wouldn't be a 'I belong to the suicide squad' sort of recognition, but a more of, you show the seal of the Executor and other Imperials would get out of your way or face the consequences.

Other characters, like former prisoners, might have an Immunity to prosecution and a classified rank. Something that would likely only come up if they're cornered by other Imperials.

And others, might just have nothing and be a total deniability case. Someone like Vega for example who's attempted to kill the Empress and her husband. I imagine if he was ever captured by the Empire on a mission Tear would have to weigh his usefulness before throwing the power of his position around.

Clea Larson

Thanks for the answer. :)

Clea would be the first case, due to her background (raised by a former Imperial pilot, and was trained and worked several years as pilot and military scientist on her home world before officially joining the Empire then).

No worries about writing. See how long it took me to reply with Morgana. >.>

Giving this more thought, perhaps Lykeira would be approached by one of Tear's reps, or Tear himself and with Lykeira's background, be seen as an asset with her knowledge of making potions and poisons. Her personality and outlook on the galaxy would definitely be endearing to the Squad's cause. :)

Tear

Could do.

That brings up some food for thought as well. For those who are Imperials and are coming from a place of relative freedom IE: Not a prisoner, condemned murder, wanted fugitive, etc. Your character should have something dark that separates them from the rest of society.

The squad is for the most monstrous of characters. These are characters who should either be dead or locked away as they represent the worst in terms of morality. I think Cleo is currently an exception to this rule due to her being recruited as Tear's personal pilot. Also as a pilot she won't be tasked on the regular to perform the 'dirty deeds' asked of the other members. She may not even be told what some of the missions entail in detail.

The Suicide squad as a concept and a group should be a relative reluctant choice. If Lykeira is approached by Tear or his people it would typically need to be something more than just her skills, but more based on her personality or past acts. Tear is the devil and everyone who joins the squad is essentially selling their soul for something whether that be tastes of freedom, or to delve into forbidden things like murder without consequence.

If Lykeira is joining the squad what is it she's giving up? I'm asking because I'm not terribly familiar with her motives as a character. There are lots of routes to go though! Power. Prestige. Those are a few options if she doesn't have a 'sickness', haha. Hit me with a PM or we can roll ideas around here if you want.

I'll be posting a thread for all squad members hopefully tonight. It's being worked on though!
