Anthymis
Unknown :: Human/Sith/None :: Sith Knight/Illusionist
Currently on: Yavin IV
Character Background
Anthymis was a relatively late edition to Primus' successors. Truth be told, very little knowledge of his existence prior to the failed ritual survives to this day. Even Nemeseia and Adrasteia are unsure of his origins.
What is known is that the ever-masked Sith was discovered by the sisters during their preparations for the essence transfer ritual.
In the brief period of time that they interacted, Anthymis and Adrasteia grew close, often sharing philosophy and dark knowledge in equal measure. The Masked One learnt a great deal from his new friend and mentor, and while his motives and ideologies were never clear, his loyalty to her was.
A skilled Sorceror, Anthymis specialised in the Illusionary arts, often performing experiments on followers and enemies alike, testing the limits of their minds and sanity, often going so far as to break them completely.
Focusing heavily on Force related arts, Anthymis was never seen to draw his lightsaber unless he had no other choice, often preferring to avoid physical combat entirely.
After the Wardens of the Light separated him from his new-found brothers and sisters, he was entombed deep beneath the surface of Yavin IV.
Over the centuries, his consciousness bled out from his tomb, influencing the twisted, hulking Massassi who occupied the jungle to build a structure over the hidden entrance, hoping to entice someone into discovering him.
The plan ultimately failed, however, as the Jungle swallowed the tomb once more, leaving only a half-remembered memory of what lay hidden beneath it.
Raw Material
Plot Ideas
Anthymis, currently entombed on Yavin IV, is found by Auswyn Nothrael, to whom he shares a connection prophesied by Adraestia.
His tomb is permeated with the Dark Illusions that bleed from his chrysalis-like cage, making it difficult to tell reality from his creations. Along with the traps present in the tomb and it's labyrinthine nature, only someone with great and terrible potential will be able to free the Dark Lord from his bonds.
Upon awaking, Anthymis first impulse will be to reunite with Adrasteia and Nemeseia and continue their work together.
Secondarily, Anthymis will be eager to resume his Illusionary experimentation on unwilling test subjects.
Existing Relationships
Adrasteia - My dear friend, of all the realities I create, all seem empty without you in them... I will see you again soon...
Nemeseia - It is often the most beautiful of things in life that terrify so efficiently...
Auswyn Nothrael - Eons before your birth, the avatar of Fate itself told me you would be mine.
