I'm only level three so I haven't picked a team yet but team valor has convincingly 'crooted me to their cause so let's go red!

Level 5. I have a Gangster Rapper approach to this game. I hunt my Pokemon on the bus to work. So most of my catches are Pokeball drive by throws.

Lvl 7, red team. Struggling hunting pokemon in the desert. Lots of geodudes and sandshrews though.

Still level 9. I've caught 150 pokemon! I'll probably try a gym today, wish me luck.

39 unique pokemon caught, 42 encountered. Three ran away before I could catch them.

Downloaded the game last night, and am now level 8 (Red Team), with 32 unique Pokémon caught/evolved/hatched, and 33 seen. The one that got away was a Golbat, because the game froze when I almost had'em.

Level 10 Red Team. Learned from some friends that for Eevee's, the second ability they have dictates their eeveelution. Dig means Flareon. Swift means Jolteon. Body Slam means Vaporeon. Have yet to test this. 49 caught, 53 seen. I shall forever lament the Charmeleon that got away today. Focusing primarily right now on catching ones I don't have, and evolving to get everything, more than powering my Pokémon up.

Currently level eleven, Team Valor

My big three currently are Flareon, Jolteon, and Scyther. I'm painfully outmatched when trying to take gyms or add my own characters, but I'll see how things go now that I've gotten a few more evolutions and powerups.

Oh and save a lot of those junk pokemon like your spare rattatas, pidgees, and zumbats. When you get to level nine and above, you can get lucky eggs that give you double XP bonuses. If you level those guys you can get a ton of XP really quickly.

Now lvl 12, thanks to some strategic lucky egg use when I evolved a bunch of my Pokemon yesterday. 46 unique Pokemon, and I've caught 193 total.

obviously I'm playing this with my kids. Obviously. >_>

I'm level three. I'll be going Team Valor, if I ever reach a point where I get to pick. I will treat my Pokemon like cold war Soviet athletes, and make no apologies for that.

I don't understand how having a team gym actually helps? Do your Pokémon level up somehow through friendly fights? Doesn't seem to be the case. Is it just for xp?

Hit level 9 this morning, then level 10 about a half hour or so ago. Have caught 40 unique Pokémon. Made a few evolutions, and hatched a few eggs today. Best hatch was an Aerodactyl. One of the evolutions was that one Pokémon that got away - Golbat. Wouldn't you know it... that within five minutes of evolving Zubat to Golbat, I encounter a wild Golbat and catch it. :lol

I believe that defeating a gym is for prestige only. If it gets defeated enough times to lower it's prestige then your team takes control of it. Gyms your team controls, where you have left Pokémon "defending" that gym, grant you daily bonuses. This is all just stuff I've read / picked up though. I've not actually attempted any gym related activity myself yet.

Ah, ok. I finally googled what using Power Up does, and it adds combat power to your Pokemon. Which everyone else probably already knew. ;)

You're leveling fast there! I'm only 9... Not seeing a huge amount of Pokemon. Want to try gyms but the cp of those in my area seems pretty high.

I'm level 5, heh. I don't play that often, but I do admit it's fun when I'm able to play. I've leveled up a few Pidgeys and Rattatas though, so that was neat.

Level 15. Caught 49, seen 52. I'm not having much luck with getting high CP Pokemon though. The highest I've seen was Golduck at 550. Most of the time it's 150-300 for me, even with the rarer ones.

I'm at level 21 currently. Should hit 22 in the next day or two. Right now most of my strongest pokemon are eevee evolutions, sitting at around 1500 cp or so. I have a dozen pokemon over 1000 cp.

I've got enough to evolve goldeen but I think I need to wait for a stronger one to cross my path. Didn't pick up much today besides another jigglypuff and psyduck. The bar I drop lures at on monday doesn't attract much in terms of quality.

I just loaded it up on my new tablet. Level 2 ATM. Caught a Bulbasaur, 2 Ratataks and a Weedle while sitting on my sofa lol.
