Kal'grit (Cross)
22 :: Korriban/Force User :: Gray Jedi
Currently in: (Pending)
Character Background
Bastard son of two former Sith
Was born in a cave on Korriban and raised on Lothal after his mother fled the plane to go into hiding from his father and the Sith Order.
Raised and initially trained by his mother in the ways of the Force, Kal made quick study of the basics including various lightsaber techniques and force augmentation.
His mother, who never really accepted the ways of the Sith, trained Kal to use balance when it came to the Force. Always cautioning him to never tread too far one way or the other, but to use both sides for a single purpose.
On his 15th birthday, his mother gifted him with a lightsaber. Its blade was white and its handle, black with silver grips. On the side, his mother's initials. This was also the day his mother would tell him of his father and her past...
At the age of 17, his father captured and tortured his mother, ultimately killing her for not divulging Kal's location.
After the death of his mother, Kal fled Lothal and began a life of exile. He forbid himself from taking up residence on any one planet, focusing only on his training and staying alive.
At the age of 22, during his daily meditation, Kal had a revelation. He finally understood what it was his mother was trying to pass onto him: There is no dark side and there is no light side. Only the Force... and he would do whatever it took to maintain the balance.
Raw Material
Even though he strives to maintain a balance between the light and darkness, Kal has horrible anger issues (a gift from his father). He struggles daily to keep them suppressed
Kal has a this grand idea of balancing the Force, but no idea how to implement such an ideal.
Due to his lack of experience and basic training, Kal underestimates his strengths and fails to compensate for his weaknesses.
His mother and what she stood for is his tether to the lighter side of the Force...
He has a strong sense of right and wrong, calling people out of their deeds even if he has no real way to back up his accusations.
He desperately wants to find a home, but has horrible trust issues.
Plot Ideas
I would love for him to find other Force users with a similar mind set. The end game idea for this character is to police the force and to keep both sides in check. Basically lashing out when one side gets to powerful.
I'm not opposed to him finding a Master or a teacher or even a series of teachers, preferably from both sides so that he can learn as much as possible about the Force.
Kal isn't actively searching for him but he knows his father is searching for him so an encounter with his father is inevitable... Might be fun to run into someone who knows his father's whereabouts and see what kind of emotions that brings out
He hates politics, so obviously, putting him in a situation where he has to delegate or deal with the Republic/Empire would be fun.
He has a loud mouth, so he's prone to fights...
