RED QUEEN
Fifties :: Galactic Empire :: Inquisitor
Currently on: ???
Character Background
An Inquisitor from before the Galactic Civil War. It is believed/speculated that she may have had some Jedi training, but the nature of that (and her real name) are largely unknown.
The Red Queen is Cheyenne Hidatsa, the sister of Mandan Hidatsa and mother of Amos Iakona. She joined the Jedi Order like her brother, but was far less Force sensitive. She failed to achieve Padawan status before she was too old, and was sent to the Jedi Service Corps - from which she eventually resigned. She was helped into hiding on Naboo by Amaros Koine, whom she married. She was eventually found by the Inquisition, and struck a deal: her service, in exchange for shielding her son from potential suspicion. Her death was faked, and her old identity abandoned.
Since the dissolution(ish) of the Inquisition, the Red Queen has slipped through the cracks somewhat. She has not been integrated into the Imperial Knights yet, and appears to be working as part of someone's (http://theholo.net/forum/showthread.php?56960-Khalid) agenda.
Raw Material
Primarily uses the Force to interpret and influence others. She doesn't necessarily perform full mind tricks, but she is able to use the Force to make people more susceptible to suggestion, and to determine the right thing to say or do in order to properly persuade them.
She carries the kind of lightsaber (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Double-bladed_spinning_lightsaber) favoured by Inquisitors early in the Galactic Civil War, but fights with it in a much more conventional manner.
Rather than fixating on the negative passions usually associated with the dark side, the Red Queen tends to embrace her more positive passions. She often appears amused by her situation, and uses a mix of her amiable personality, unexpected honesty/transparency, and feminine wiles to put others at ease, and lure them into a false sense of security. However, when crossed she very quickly becomes cold and threatening.
The Red Queen's benefactor/superior is deliberately unclear. She seems to collect information, but does not (officially?) work for Imperial Intelligence; and for some reason she is not an Imperial Knight (yet?). She has some kind of connection to the Black Archives.
Plot Ideas
Encounters with Imperial Knights? Who is this woman, and why isn't her lightsaber white?
Encounters with Imperial Intelligence?
Crossing paths with her son, quite possibly without him knowing.
Causing trouble for her widower on Cloud City, and possibly for other people while she's there as well?
Meeting Force users from outside the Empire / Knights / Inquisition. Rogue force users? Jedi? Nightsisters? Sith?
Dealings with bounty hunters / smugglers / mercenaries / etc? Available as a mysterious benefactor/client if you need one!
Existing Relationships
Mandan Hidatsa - Her brother. Padawan during the Clone Wars. Mostly dead. Occasional Force ghost.
Amaros Koine - Her husband/widower. She married him as Amos Iakona, Sr. Believes she's alive, but hasn't confirmed his suspicions (yet).
Amos Iakona - Her son. Believes she is dead; and for his safety, it needs to stay that way.
