Y'roth Helghast
29 :: Galactic Empire/Former Nightmare :: Imperial Inquisitor
Currently in: (pending)

Character Background

Product of a side project by Darth Sidious/ later to be recognized as Emperor Palpatine to create and test variants of super soldiers.
Helghast has been indoctrinated to hate the Force and all enemies of the Galactic Empire.
After the overall project was considered a failure, Helghast was quickly identified by the Imperial Inquisitors to receive training. He became the leader of the Nightmares.
Helghast is known for brutal shock-and-awe tactics. Mission reports that involve Helghast have been known for including significant collateral damage, mass casualties, and rarely a missed objective.
Helghast was not a welcome Inquisitor amongst the ranks of the Inquisitoriate for reasons listed above and his few political schemes so far have not been accommodating to his peers or gentle in the least.
Helghast traveled in an Imperial Raider The Eye of Contempt with a small contingent of shock troops trained to support Helghast in the field when he hunts Force Adepts.

Raw Material

Y'roth emits an aura to Force Adepts that might hint that he too is Force Sensitive but his persona is so focused against the Force that mid-strength adepts might only sense his intense revulsion while weaker adepts can be overcome with a sense of dread.
Y'roth had access to a very broad network of informants and moved with an autonomy and focus on Adepts that he often appears seemingly out of nowhere in pursuit of any Adept or traitor to the Empire, and often only the more staunch Imperials are glad to have him in their sector.
Helghast has been victim to political enemies that operate beyond his realm of influence or more indirectly/passively than he can act against. Imperial bureaucrats and administrators often find his dogmatic methodology to be more of a hindrance to their concept of Order.

Plot Ideas

Debating to explain Helghast's absence by stating that he was put in stasis by the Inquisitors, deemed too dangerous or an uncontrolled weapon, imprisoned until they found a use for him, or something along those lines. Imperials might seek him out for whatever objectives they might have a need for or the Alliance might accidentally awaken him trying to recover other prisoners. Or some other interested party plays in somehow.
If not imprisoned, Helghast can appear wherever, attempting to trap a Force Adept or agent of the Alliance. Or someone mistaken as one of those.
I've also considered someone finds an Imperial Raider on the edge of the Unknown Sector, barely functional amidst a wreckage of other ships and debris, emitting an old imperial distress signal, with only Helghast on board.

Existing Relationships

The Nightmares - Any ties to the remnants of the Nightmares, Helghast led during a successful period for the Nightmares before the first generation of members rotated out.
On record for capturing or engaging a number of higher profile Adepts with varied degrees of success - Darth Hera, Lilaena De'Ville
