Character Background
Born Saami on the prison world of Belsavis, Maggewetok and her family lived off of the snowy plains and mountains above the thermal sylvan areas.
During a raid by slavers, Maggewetok, her three brothers and three cousins all escaped, prompted by their mothers as the rest of the village tried to repel the alien invasion.
Sold on Ord Sabaok, Maggewetok soon became Ilana, her slave name, and was educated in an Imperial academy along with her cousin Anana.
As a teen, the instructors at the Imperial academy began to notice certain traits that only came natural to a Saami, hunting, stealth, and an acute memory, soon turning her into a weapon for the Empire.
After working as an assassin for Imperial Intel for five years, Ilana became disenchanted with killing a father in front of her daughter, so left the mission and was never seen by her handler again.
Raw Material
Anana, being Force sensitive, was taken and trained by a small group called the Oracles, a sect which hired themselves out to foretell the future for their clients. Anana seemed quite adept at this.
Maggewetok eventually discovered that Anana had to kill her two brothers to prove her loyalty to the Oracles and vowed to find her and seek justice for her cousins lives.
Eventually, Maggewetok found two of her brothers on Corellia, working for the Corellian Hundred, an elusive crime syndicate working toward helping Corellia gain it's independence.
Miki and Pakak joined Maggewetok, becoming her own assets which she could keep an eye on, now under the employ of Republic Intelligence.
Plot Ideas
Maggewetok's Imperial handler may still have a bounty on the assassin.
She once made contact with a high ranking Sith who convinced her - unknowingly - to help him with information on occasion. (?) She doesn't remember who that is, but he visits on occasion.
With her fingers in so much over the years, there are many in the galaxy that would either love to hand her over to the Empire, collect the bounty from her owner on Ord Sabaok, or get retribution for some other slight or loss of family member / friend.
