ZERETH LANCER
Unknown :: Half-Nagai :: Eleutheria :: Gray Jedi
Currently: Dantooine

Character Background:

A half-Nagai child, Zereth was taken by Dr. Zanon O'hara and forced to undertake experimental genetic modification aimed to create a better soldier. The years of modification were successful, creating a stronger, faster being. His memories were wiped as a precaution. Ultimately he escaped the laboratory.
Once free Zereth wandered the galaxy trying to find his place in it. War was all he knew, it was what he had been made into, and worked as a soldier for hire for many years. He was eventually taken in by the Juraiya, a secret order of monks. They taught him patience and understanding as well as their methods of combat. After parting ways with the Juraiya he was lured into the dark by a cruel Sith Master who taught Zereth the dark ways of the force through painful torture and violence. At the end of his training, at his Master's insistence, Zereth dueled to the death. Hungry for power he went searching for the Sith Order, where he would raise to the rank of Knight.
The Sith Order was destroyed by Alexia Sturkov. The survivors escaped to Corellia where they eventually drifted apart until only Zereth remained. A chance encounter with a Rebel agent pushed Zereth to finally leave the planet behind and begin a short career assisting the Rebellion.
After the war ended Zereth was picked up by Lilaena De'ville to be a member of Eleutheria, a group of force users devoted to the protection of force users and the enforcement of their freedom.

Raw Material:

Zereth has no clue what he is or where he is from. He has never recovered his memory, and despite constant run-ins with his creator, Zanon has never divulged that secret.
Despite once being a zealous Sith, Zereth's force mentality has mellowed over the years. He believes strongly in the power of controlled emotions, meditation, and diplomacy. He's a self-declared darksider despite his strong lightside leanings. This leaves him planted somewhere firmly in the gray.
While it once served his purposes, Zereth has found himself drifting from the ideals of Eleutheria. He believes in the core tenants of the group but feels that Lilaena has become a warlord instead of a liberator. Now he only sticks around in case Lilaena oversteps her agenda and needs to be dissuaded; or stopped.
From his first Master Zereth learned strong dueling and performance boosting techniques; from the Sith Order he learned to use Force Illusions. He employs Form II: Makashi.

Plot Ideas:

Interactions with other force users; whether as friends or enemies.
An Ideological discussion with anyone who views the force differently than he does.
Striking out against the Empire? There's always a chance that Zereth, and Eleutheria, could be nearby and jump in.
In trouble? Zereth is a really nice guy with a soft spot of woman and children. If he sees something going down he will often involve himself.

Existing Relationships:

Lilaena De'ville: Leader of Eleutheria and Zereth's superior // He does not trust her judgement and is afraid that she will go too far one day and he will be the only one who can stop her.
Tyber Jaan: An out of control force user that Zereth brought to Eleutheria // He sees a lot of himself in Tyber; a man lost out of time and trying to find himself
Asha Vendax: Alliance agent that he saved on Corellia and eventually worked alongside during the war.
Alexia Sturkov: A mysterious woman who lead an assault on Korriban that ousted the Sith Order
Michael Cline: A young man whom Zereth first encountered while abducting him and his friends for The Sith Order // A ghost from his past and a painful reminder of what he once was, Zereth hopes to atone for his sins by righting the wrongs he's committed.

Current Plots:

Currently Zereth is engaged in the rescue and rehabilitation of force adepts across the galaxy.
