Tristan Tahmores

LIEUTENANT TRISTAN "LONGSHOT" TAHMORES
27 :: Alliance of Free Planets :: Fighter / Recon Pilot
Currently aboard Jovan Station
Character Background
A young starfighter pilot from Naboo, who graduated from the Imperial Academy as a TIE Interceptor pilot shortly after the Battle of Endor. He defected to the Rebel Alliance while still an Ensign, initially serving as an A-Wing pilot before being recruited for the elite Rogue Squadron.
After the Treaty, he put in for a transfer to another unit, feeling that he was too young to become a flight instructor on the Challenger like many of his peers. He was assigned to Jovan Station as part of the air defense force, where his experience with various different starfighters was used to "fill in the gaps" with whatever craft was needed to round out a particular flight, mission or CAP.
He recently began flying reconnaissance missions for Commander Inirial, monitoring the Alliance-Imperial border for hostile activity. He pilots a modified HWK-290 transport, under the callsign Wraith Seven-One.
Raw Material
He wanted to be part of Bravo Squadron growing up. After the Treaty was signed, Bravo Squadron was assigned aboard the Challenger (a starship involved in defending Bothawui) for ceremonial purposes, and Tristan was offered a place in the squadron; but he declined, wanting a job where he could still be "useful". He has never fulfilled his childhood ambition of flying an N-1 Starfighter, though he desperately wants to.
Tristan is blessed (and cursed) with extremely youthful looks. Particularly pilots, particularly those who have known him for a while, have grown accustomed to the idea that Tristan is "just a kid" - he spends a lot of time having to remind people how old he actually is.
He doesn't do sadness or pessimism. Any negative emotions he has are deeply bottled up, covered in a layer of bubbly optimism. No matter how bad the situation, he always seems to manage to find the bright side - to the extent that people will sometimes prompt him to point out the bright side in dire situations, just to be sure that there actually is some hope there.
Smarter than the average pilot. He was arguably better at his engineering and science classes at the Academy than he was at flying, but chose to pursue the latter, thinking that his father would never forgive him if he "sold out" and became an R&D officer.
Has a great memory for rules/protocols, and for random trivia. He has been likened to a protocol droid on a number of occasions.
Plot Ideas
Pilot shenanigans.
People getting him into trouble, and generally taking advantage of his youth / naivety.
The above... but extra bad because of the horny cat people? :uhoh
In the TFA era, he's a lonely, grumpy old man. Something needs to break his spirit between now and then.
Existing Relationships
Ethan Tahmores - His father, a veteran Stormtrooper officer. Tristan has always felt like a disappointment to his father, especially when he applied to the Academy for pilot training instead of becoming a Stormtrooper (like his brother had). When Tristan defected to the Rebellion, Ethan joined the ISB, and disowned his son.
Aiden Tahmores - His elder brother: a former Stormtrooper turned Imperial Guard. Aiden was always the one who got things "right" as far as dad was concerned. Aiden was always the "tough" one, while Tristan was the "smart" one. Aidan was mostly protective, but could also be a bit of a jerk at times.
Nyx Varrok - His wingman, (winglady?) and his Flight Leader back in his Rogue Squadron days. She is also a former TIE pilot, and has stepped into Aidan's place as a surrogate protective elder "sibling".
Current Plots
Previous Tenants (http://theholo.net/forum/showthread.php?56647-Previous-Tenants) - One of the pilots flying with CAP One.
