Captain Untouchable

We've already got a few stormies kicking around in the TFA era, but we don't have any Resistance counterparts for that. Since there's a lot of love for XCOM amongst us, I figured... why not go after two birds with one stone?
What I'm thinkin' is an amorphous SpecForce blob, with people sorta based on the classes from XCOM and XCOM 2. Someone based on a Specialist might have probe droids and seeker droids to play around with. A Sniper/Sharpshooter might use cameras mounted on his squadmates' armour to fire a high-powered slugthrower through walls. I guess an Assault/Ranger would be the equivalent of TR-8R, with some baton or vibroblade action going on.
All that kinda stuff balances nicely with the different kinds of stormtroopers the First Order has, so there's potentially a cool symmetry type thing going on.
Also, rather than saying "this is our squad", we can really play up the XCOM parallels, and just rotate in characters and NPCs depending on who is available, so that we can have an XCOM-appropriate casualty rate, etc. There's room for support people too - Trask might make a good Commander/Central, Dee's got a character in the pipeline that'd work as a science/intel character, etc etc.
Maybe we base ourselves on General Luka's ship, but have our own ship(s) for if we need to get around autonomously? I have a couple of options that might work nicely for that.
