Character Background
Originally a Scout Trooper on Naboo, opting for military service in lieu of jail time.
Spent seven years as a trader on the Astral Queen before joining the Rebel Alliance.
Flew A-Wings with Valkyrie Squadron before transferring to Rogue Squadron. Served as "Rogue One" before becoming XO (and Squadron Leader) aboard the Novgorod. (present)
Joined the New Republic military, and inherited command of the Dauntless from Admiral Soto Terius. Promoted to General a few years ago in recognition of his years of service.
Recently resigned from the military to join the Resistance. Commands the Challenger II and "The Rogue Fleet": which includes Red Squadron, Blue Squadron, and an assortment of transports and support craft. (similar to Home One).
Raw Material
The older Jaden gets, the more like Vansen Tyree he becomes.
Jaden has an ex-wife, and may have children. I have no idea who yet, though!
After a few false starts (a misspent youth, a wasted education, being a Scout Trooper, etc), Jaden constantly feels like he's not made the "best use" of his life, and is always looking to maximise the impact he can have and the good he can do. Unfortunately, the more good he does now, the more wasted his early life seems - imagine how much more he could have done if he'd got his act together sooner.
Plot Ideas
New recruits finding / being found by Luka, because they don't know where the secret base is.
Freighter captains dropping off supplies to cut down on traffic to/from secret bases.
Skirmishes / encounters with First Order ships... and Republic ones?
New pilots wanting to learn to fly X-Wings.
Existing Relationships
Taataani Meorrrei - Both she and Jaden were "quite fond" of Vansen Tyree. Jaden respects her for having the balls to do something about the First Order, and doesn't care one way or another about "those stupid peaches" (her impeachment).
Chrys Ocasta - Know each other from The Wheel. Feels a "duty of care" towards her kids, now that her husband (a former squadron-mate of Jaden's) is dead.
Siloo Jaska - Used to serve with Jaden. He is responsible for her being kicked out of the Republic for being "too insubordinate".
Jain Terius - Jaden's lead pilot, and the son of an old friend.
Brianne Ocasta - One of Jaden's lead pilots. Jaden has a soft spot for her, and lets her "get away with" more than he should..
