Aurelia Wayne (http://p1.pichost.me/i/39/1627042.jpg) re-examined her schedule for the next two weeks and sighed heavily. There was absolutely no way she could get off-world as originally planned. That was very unfortunate because she'd needed to take a trip back to her homeworld, Corellia, to pick up a very specific and sentimental item.

"Sorry, Miss Wayne. I've tried to clear up your calendar, but some of these..." Jamit grimaced and shrugged. "There's just no way. You have to be at those meetings."

Auri sighed and nodded. She slid out of the expensive leather chair and went to the windows that looked out at this particular commercial district of Coruscant. Arms folded over her chest, the determined young executive tried to work another way to manage the trip and fulfill her duties, but she too was coming up blank.

But, I have to get it for him!

"Jamit, what about hiring someone to take the trip for me?"

"Who?" he asked, looking puzzled, and worried that she was going to send him.

"I don't know," Auri replied. "No, wait. I do. What about that pair of smugglers that Claire was talking about a few weeks ago?"

"How did you remember them?" he asked, surprised by his boss' recall over that detail.

She chuckled and smirked. "Twins, living life as smugglers? It's what Keir and I should've done instead of these responsible, domestic lives."

Jamit smiled uncertainly, having worked for Aurelia's father first. He knew what the costs could be of an exciting life. Aurelia glanced at the discreet chrono on the wall. She went back to her desk in quick strides, downed the last of her stimcaf, and picked up her 'pad.

"Talk to Claire. Find out their names and comm frequency. Set up a face-to-face if they're in-system, or I want a hololink chat otherwise. By the time I'm back from this next meeting."

"Of course, Aurelia..." Jamit said with a smirk as she went out the door. He was already queuing up Claire's contact information.

"When in the nine hells is Katja coming back?" groused Nikole from under an access panel.

She and her twin, Kalyn, were busy upgrading the heavily modified YT-2400 Ronan as it was berthed in the spaceport and had presumed their younger sister would have been productive together ... not slutting it up in the Red Light District. It was terrible that her mind went there, but their wild sister had long since grown defiant and untamed. It was disheartening to not understand the reason why since they had both raised her since infancy.

"Probably sunrise?" jested Kalyn, handing over another bolt. "Let her be when she gets back too. You going at each other won't help. I keep telling you that."

"She acts like an ungrateful brat."

"So did you ... once upon a time."

"But I grew out of it long before Katja became of age," she countered with a grunt, locking the bolt into place and holding her hand out for the next.

"True," Kalyn agreed, handing her another. "But she didn't have our parents to guide her. She doesn't see us as authority figures any longer."

"I know ..." she agreed in a whisper. "We only ..."

Interrupted by the comm going off, both sisters looked at each other dubiously.

"It's not Katja," they said in unison and chuckled.

Kalyn rose to her feet. "I'll do the honors. Be right back."

They were not expecting anyone at all, using this time between jobs to do much needed maintenance. Which Nikole continued until her sister returned. She didn't look up, continuing to bolt in the new cover. "Dare I ask?"

"Claire made friends with someone interesting. And they're asking for a face to face for a job opportunity since we're in system."

"And despite it all, you said no. Right?"

The silence was deafening and Nikole glared up at her sister. "We had a plan. The plan was this. Not work."

"But this favor is coming from the CEO of WayneTech ..." Kalyn explained, hoping to entice her twin's curiosity. Which worked. Somewhat.

"What does a CEO want that she doesn't already have?"

"Dunno. But there's only one way to find out." She swung her legs over the side and shoved Nikole in the shoulder.

"Hey!" she swatted at her.

"Come on! Katja is having fun, and I'm stuck here with broody you. We can at least go find out what Miss Wayne wants. Perhaps share some expensive bourbon, gawk at the skyline - because you know it's going to be a gorgeous view - and then you can politely decline." She pleaded with her twin. "I'm going stir crazy here. We could use a break."

Her stony expression immediately was squashed away, softening as her sister's needs were the priority with Nikole. She felt a twinge of guilt that Kalyn was having a difficult time adjusting to what Nikole needed. She tossed the wrench into the toolbox and began to unstrap her work gloves.

"Go ahead and make the appointment..."

"Yes!" She kicked her legs up, using the momentum to swing them around and grab the edge of the floor so she could lean down and kiss Nikole atop her head. "I'll call Miss Wayne's assistant and set up the meet now."

Aurelia was not pleased at how long her meeting was running. She'd long since stopped taking notes and had shifted to giving her intimidating "stare of doom" as it was rumored to be called. Still, the executive kept rattling on, trying her patience. Auri made a mental note to talk to the personnel director, later, about remedial presentation skills training for her executives. She was at least pleased to see Jamit followed through as he'd entered a slot on her schedule for the meeting with the Nystrom's.

An aide met her with a small, fresh caf as she left the meeting and strode back to her office. Aurelia downed it in a few gulps and kept moving, eager to meet the smugglers and give them their task if she found them trustworthy. Jamit met her in the outer suite and said that the pair was on their way up. Aurelia asked for another caf and went into her office alone to wait...

Kalyn was practically bouncing on her heels as she and her twin rode up the lift to the executive floor. "I'm glad we had enough time to wash up and change."

Nikole was leaning against the back wall with her arms crossed and regarded her sister that had opted to wear an actual suit to the meeting. It was a simple black two piece with a white blouse, pumps to match which held a striking contrast to what she actually wore. Sure Nikole washed up, but she wasn't dressed to impress. There was nothing wrong with her blue cargo pants, white sleeveless shirt, black vest and boots, and currently empty holster because they had to check their weapons in with security at the front desk.

"And for Katja to check in."

"True," agreed Kalyn.

"I'm just relieved she's back on the ship and safe." Nikole was surprised that her youngest sister wasn't spiced out of her mind like last time, and managed to acknowledge their presence when she came back. She had argued with Kalyn that they should cancel their meeting because it was rare that Katja was awake and in a good mood towards them. It was a good opportunity to talk, but her twin pressed that they had a reputation to maintain of being punctual and reliable.

The doors opened and Kalyn led the way as Nikole glanced around the opulent decorated lobby.

"Good evening. I'm Kalyn and this is my sister Nikole. We've a meeting with Miss Wayne..."

"Yes! Good evening," the faded red-headed Jamit replied. He smiled, relieved that they'd shown up on time. "I'm Jamit, Miss Wayne's assistant. Let me just let her know you've arrived... she's looking forward to meeting with you..."

He buzzed into Auri's office to let her know the smugglers had arrived, and walked them to the double onyx doors to admit them. Jamit wondered what his boss was going to think of their disparate fashion styles.

"Aurelia... this is Kalyn and Nikole Nystrom, as you'd requested. Ladies, would you like anything to drink...?" he asked.

Aurelia barely heard a word he'd said, nor exactly which one was who - as identical twins - because she was staring so intensely at the one who was dressed like she expected to see a smuggler. Fingers tightened on the edge of her desk, helping her balance because she felt like Coruscant had just tipped on its axis.

"A cup of tea would be kind. Thank you," Kalyn said with a gentle smile. The twins were tea aficionados and Kalyn couldn't wait to see what Miss Wayne, CEO of WayneTech had for her guests. Both she and Nikole would either praise her back on the ship or chortle at her secretary's bad taste.

However, Nikole hadn't quite heard the entirety of the conversation as her gaze remained fixed upon the woman behind the desk. She had never seen a woman so strikingly beautiful, even despite the reserved stare of indifference that was reflected towards. If only she knew that the Ice Queen of WayneTech was having a similar reaction.

"Nikole?" asked Kalyn, her voice raised an octave higher.

"Oh. Yes?" she finally asked, tearing her gaze away towards her twin with a reddening face.

"Did you want something to drink?" her sister asked, fighting a smirk.

"Oh. Apologies. Tea. Please." She was a gifted linguist and now she found herself speaking basic one word sentences.

Aurelia cleared her throat, eyebrows aloft as the visual connection broke. She stared at her desk a moment and took a deep breath, collecting herself. What. The. Frell?

When she looked up, she looked at the business professional twin specifically.

"Please have a seat. The low couches by the corner provide a striking view of the district," Auri offered. "Jamit will be right back with your tea..."

She picked up her own tumbler of stimcaf and carried it over to one of the couches, setting the drink on the coffee table. Aurelia risked a glance at both women, heart hammering again. She smiled with more of her sensual confidence and crossed her legs.

Kalyn nodded graciously. "That sounds like a lovely idea."

She poked Nikole in the back to follow suit, trying to not be too terrible to her dear sister since it was quite clear the CEO had disarmed her natural swagger. Kalyn took the seat across from Aurelia, believing that her twin required less direct line of sight. Her theory was proven true as Nikole kept her gaze averted from the CEO and sat at least one cushion away from Kalyn, despite the two of them always being joined at the hip during meetings.

Nikole felt lightheaded as she looked out the wall length windows at the Coruscanti skyline, trying to sit casually on the couch as if being here was an inconvenience. Which it had been to her, but now it was about trying to regain her composure. Kalyn was only momentarily taken aback by her sister plopping onto the couch casually and refused eye contact. Something was troubling her twin about this woman and she had a good idea what it was.

But they couldn't be rude either and Kalyn smiled back, unfazed by the confidence sexuality that Aurelia exuded.

Jamit returned in an appropriate time and smiled politely, placing steaming mugs of tea before the Nystrom women.

"Dantooine mint tea," he explained. "It's a Wayne family favorite. I do hope you enjoy it..."

Jamit gave a nod to Aurelia, then ducked out of the office, closing the door behind him. Auri's dark blue-eyed gaze shifted between the twins, trying to work out what about the now-avoidant twin was so different and striking to her. It was a shame that she was being so anti-social!

"Thank you for coming on such short notice. You came highly recommended from Claire Dantes, a mutual friend," she said, gaze focusing back on the professionally dressed twin. "I trust her opinions, so I do hope you'd be available for a run to Corellia..."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 3rd, 2015, 08:09:58 PM
Nikole perked up at Jamit's explanation of what tea had been served. She loved mint applications in tea, and Dantooine had perfected their blend ... as long as it was from processed from the higher end tea leaves. She shifted and leaned over to take the mug, enjoying the pleasure the steam afforded as it caressed her chin. Inhaling the scent, she appreciated the aroma before taking a sip.

"Yes. That piqued our interest as she is a close friend of ours." Kalyn regarded her twin for a moment, glad that Nikole appeared more comfortable, before returning her attention towards Aurelia. "I must be honest, though. I'm rather surprised Claire never mentioned you. If you don't mind me asking before we get to this business about Corellia, how did you two meet?"

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 3rd, 2015, 08:18:06 PM
Aurelia reached forward for her tumbler, took a sip of her caf, and nodded. As low cut as her blouse was, it afforded them a quick view of her cleavage, which wasn't necessarily intentional; it was just a fact of her attire.

"Ah, Claire. At another mutual's party, actually. We were both bored with the other guests and struck up a conversation."

In truth, the two of them had been mocking the other guests quietly and found that their sarcastic natures were well-matched. It had been an amusing way to get through the night, and they'd kept in touch. Aurelia smiled, remembering.

"Mostly, we keep in touch by texts given her touring schedule and my... well." She shrugged and grinned. WayneTech was a galaxy-spanning corporation; she didn't really need to explain. "At any rate, knowing I was pressed for time, Claire thought you'd be a good match."

Saying that, Auri's gaze shifted back to the quiet twin, heart beating faster at the sight of her.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 3rd, 2015, 08:32:16 PM
The angle at which Nikole sat may have prevented direct eye contact, but it was the perfect spot to garner more than a mere glimpse of cleavage! She not only knew what bra color the executive was wearing, but there was little left to the imagination as to what Aurelia Wayne would look like topless. She couldn't help widened eyes lingering far too long before realizing that they had never looked away until Aurelia's gaze shifted over to her. Flushing because she had surely been caught staring, Nikole finally swallowed the tea in her mouth before bringing the mug up to her lips to avoid saying anything ridiculous. Not that she was part of this conversation yet!

"Yes. Quite true. It's been hard maintaining personal contact with her beyond the link. It's a shame, but I do understand how busy schedules go..." Kalyn noted that she probably talking to herself right now as Aurelia was far more intrigued by Nikole. The two of them may not have said a single word to one another, but the tension between them was palpable.

After all these years... fascinating... mused Kalyn.

"But that was sweet of her to mention us. We know the Corellian system well enough as we grew up there," she said the fib flawlessly, "and our ship is one of the fastest in the galaxy. What is it that you need a quick turn around for?"

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 3rd, 2015, 08:38:57 PM
Aurelia's gaze shifted back to--

Is she Kalyn or Nikole? Frak, how do I find out without looking like an inconsiderate fool?! she thought.

--the talkative Nystrom. Aurelia paused a moment, then nodded. "It's actually to pick up a gift. My brother is graduating from medical school soon and I'd like to surprise him with our grandfather's physician's bag since he followed in his footsteps. I just don't have the break in my schedule to fetch it for his graduation personally."

Aurelia looked genuinely disheartened at that still, though that vulnerability quickly vanished.

"I'd comm ahead to our man back home, ensuring you're my agent in picking it up from the family vault. I know it would seem a silly job for you, I'm sure. But, it would mean a good deal to me."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 3rd, 2015, 08:47:07 PM
This was not a job. This was a favor. Even with Claire's recommendation, Nikole should have replied with some sarcastic comment about wasting fuel on an old family relic.

"Of course we will." Nikole said instead, which noticeably took Kalyn by surprise. "And ... uh, it's not silly. To help family. Or rather, do something nice for your family."

She wasn't quite fumbling over her words, but it felt like it to her because they weren't coming with ease. It made her feel off centered and insecure. It forced her too gaze down at her mug, grumbling a 'buggar' under her breath as her heart wouldn't stop pounding so loudly inside her ears!

Clearing her throat, Kalyn hope to gain Aurelia's attention and smiled towards her when she did. "What I believe Nikole's trying to say is that it's a thoughtful gesture and we'd be delighted to do this for you. Hate to disappoint our mutual friend as well."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 4th, 2015, 10:23:22 AM
Aurelia jumped a little in her seat when the smuggler said yes. She'd hardly been participating in the conversation at all, so hearing her voice threw her. She smiled brightly, happy for her approval more than her agreement to fly out on her behalf.

Nikole. She's Nikole... The name clanged around in the Corellian's mind merrily. Aurelia flushed, looking back at the professionally dressed one, who was apparently Kalyn.

"Thank you... you've made my whole day, hearing that," Aurelia said as she tried to recover from whatever was affecting her.

Pheremones, maybe?

"I'll give you a code phrase to give to Vega, back home. And then comm ahead to him to let him know you're coming for the doctor bag. It's one of the few things we have left of family heirlooms."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 4th, 2015, 01:30:33 PM
Nikole looked up, glad that the mug was able to hide her growing smile. She had presumed that the CEO was cold, forthright, and wanted something illegal or highly expensive to be smuggled for the company, or possibly herself. The Morellian was pleasantly surprised that it was something personal to present to a brother, meaning that family mattered to Aurelia. She could tell that the disappointment in retrieving the item was no ruse either... Though she knew Kalyn thought it peculiar, and perhaps endearing, that Nikole hadn't flat out denied the request because this was the sort of work that fell under ridiculous favors with supplies being used up for little reward.

But the executive had already taken Nikole's breath away and any form of coherent thought, which meant Kalyn was going to grill her about what happened as soon as they left.

"Only a ... few?" Nikole asked curiously, well aware of what it meant to have scant items left of your family. It was surprising to hear this because she had presumed, incorrectly, that Aurelia was a woman that needed little because of the billions she made.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 4th, 2015, 01:41:46 PM
Aurelia's gaze darted back to Nikole, roving over her face and features. She gave a quick nod and swallowed, recognizing that the Nystrom's knew very little about her or her family history; that was a refreshing - if strange - change from the norm.

"The home where I grew up... burned. Murder/arson," she said quietly. "My father was lost in the inferno, and so were most of the elements of our family that he'd tried so hard to preserve."

Aurelia looked down, taking another swallow of caf before setting the tumbler aside, empty.

"Fortunately, my grandfather's bag had already been in the vault at the old corporate headquarters in Coronet, along with a few other items. Or else, it would all be gone."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 4th, 2015, 02:00:55 PM
Kalyn struggled at not rolling her eyes. Nikole's anxiety with this woman made her stupid. This was Aurelia Wayne - the daughter of Maize Wayne that was killed during the arson. It was all over the news on Corellia. This wasn't anything new. The less cynical side of her wanted to believe that Nikole was just haunted by the fact that they similarly had little left from their own family.

To not make her sister appear the fool, she nodded somberly. "I'm sorry to hear that. It's fortunate that your family had the foresight to protect such valuable items. Like the bag."

Taking a sip of her tea, it was time for business. Regardless of the cargo's size, terms needed to be met. "How soon did you need it? Soon is rather nebulous..."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 4th, 2015, 02:08:36 PM
"Thank you," Aurelia said, nodding at Kalyn.

She was appreciative of the sympathies and the shift in the discussion. Her father's death was only a few years past and the wound was still fresh. Aurelia cleared her throat.

"Keir graduates in two weeks. I'd like to present the bag to him at his graduation. If it helps, creds are no matter. I need to be able to give him the gift."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 4th, 2015, 02:17:07 PM
Even Nikole had to question this and some of that confidence came back.

"Two weeks? How ... how is it that there's not enough time for you to acquire this? That should be plenty of time. Especially if you are able to have someone on Corellia to procure this and bring it back to you. Surely there must be someone on Coronet that you trust enough, and let alone the credits involved in hiring us ..."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 4th, 2015, 02:23:28 PM
Aurelia lifted an eyebrow, unused to being questioned like that. She waited a moment, truly trying to figure out how to respond. Obviously she did not have someone she trusted with the job; if she had, the Nystrom's would not be in her office, sipping expensive tea.

"Do you ordinarily require seeing a client's calendar before taking on a job? Claire thought you would be trustworthy and looking for easy work," Aurelia challenged. "If she was mistaken, then I apologize for wasting your time."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 4th, 2015, 02:30:06 PM
"No, but not asking questions about a job, regardless of how simple it appears to be, are how smugglers end up dead," she challenged back, brown eyes narrowed in all seriousness before she leaned over, setting aside her mug of tea.

Clearly the mystique of the executive was wearing off on Nikole.

Ah, there's the sister I know, Kalyn mused.

"I truly do apologize if you feel that way. Perhaps we are finished negotiating. Kalyn?" she looked to her sister and began to rise, her twin following suit.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 4th, 2015, 02:37:57 PM
"No... wait, what?"

Aurelia frowned, feeling dismayed, then bewildered by that reaction. She thought it had to be pheromones of some kind because it wasn't like her to be so caught up in someone she'd just met. Especially a woman!

She sighed. "I am not able to personally pick up the bag. The next two weeks are going to be hellish for me. I thought that was clear. And, if I had someone I trusted to take care of this for me, you wouldn't be here; I'd already have someone on this. The job is yours if you want it. Just name your price."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 4th, 2015, 02:44:53 PM
Kalyn paused, watching Nikole's expression become completely fixed upon Aurelia. She could tell that her sister was debating her words and the truth of them.

"You have to understand my suspicions. I understood you had a busy schedule, but you are also a woman of immense power and resources. It was ... difficult to believe that someone within your organization couldn't be trusted with the task," Nikole explained, motioning for Kalyn to sit down. She soon followed and found it peculiar that their employer was quick to reel them back in, stunned at her own response.

Perhaps ... she was just as flustered as I am? But that's ridiculous. Not in a million years would someone like her, be attracted to someone like me ... despite how good I am at what I do.

"What did you have in mind for us?" she countered. "I wouldn't want to take advantage of you."

Her eyes barely widened, realizing how she meant it, but her hammering heart made her feel like it may have been taken an entirely different way.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 4th, 2015, 02:58:19 PM
Aurelia took a deep breath, relief clear on her face when the two women sat back down. It was clear to anyone who knew her that this was more than about getting her way, or retrieving the gift for Keir. Unfortunately, there were very few who knew her well enough to recognize that.

Her brows lifted slightly at Nikole's word choice, wondering if there was a subtle game of interest being played here. Auri opted to respond professionally though, not wanting to cause any further misunderstanding. There was a deal to close here, after all.

"Spec out for me your travel costs then," she replied evenly enough, "and I'll meet those with a considerable gratuity for the trouble. And... perhaps... dinner tonight as a personal thanks with home cooking? I know how hard it is to find a good Corellian restaurant even in this metropolis."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 4th, 2015, 03:26:14 PM
<!--><xml> <o:OfficeDocumentSettings> <o:AllowPNG/> </o:OfficeDocumentSettings> </xml><![endif]--> The tea had gone from hot to warm, but it was still delicious nonetheless as Nikole took a healthy swig while Aurelia outlined the arrangement. She had been following along in agreement until the dinner plans. That confidence she managed to cultivate back went poof in an instance because her mind was reeling with what that meant! Who invites beings you [I]just met for a home cooked meal? Because that implied going to her home and she was actually preparing the meal. Was Aurelia starving for that much attention or companionship?

Nah... she probably has a dozen staff to do all that stuff. No way those manicured nails touch anything more than a pen in case it gets chipped.
Once again her twin's silence made it clear Kalyn had to reinsert herself into the conversation. "You don't need to go out of your way to accommodate us for a meal, despite it being a captivating idea."

She spared a glance towards Nikole and smiled. "Though I will admit, bit homesick as of late. Been months since we've been on Corellia. I do miss the food."

And I can find an excuse to stay behind and allow Nikole some time alone with Aurelia so those two can figure out what's happening, if anything, between them.

"Delightful," Aurelia replied, flashing a genuine, thankful smile to Kalyn. "After all, we're nearly friends having a friend in common, hm?"

She provided her address in the posh residential district an airtaxi ride away. Aurelia also provided them the code they'd need with Vega in Coronet, and promised to comm ahead to him right away so all would be in order well before they shipped out. Despite the peculiar reaction she had to Nikole, Aurelia felt very good about the arrangements.

"So, I'll see you both this evening then?" she said, extending a hand to each of them.

"Quite true," Kalyn agreed and typed in the provided information into her datapad. "We'll bring by the estimated costs of flying to Corellia and back to dinner tonight."

She saved the information and slipped the pad inside her inner jacket pocket before rising, extending a hand. "Look forward to it," she said with a smile.

Nikole rose to her feet and shook Aurelia's hand next. Immediately a shiver that both thrilled and scared her passed through her body. She unconsciously tightened her grip and looked away, speaking quietly. "See you tonight, Miss Wayne."

Bemused, Kalyn's assumptions were all but confirmed now. Nikole hadn't been so shy since meeting her late girlfriend, Faithe. She was definitely going to ensure that these two had a nice dinner alone tonight.

"Until tonight."

Aurelia smiled, staring intensely at Nikole despite the way that the brunette looked away from her. When their hands separated, she curled hers into a fist, gently rubbing the pads of her fingers against her palm. She gave Kalyn a final nod as the women left.

Auri sagged against the now-closed door, closing her eyes. She tried to figure out what the hell had just happened! No one had ever gotten under her skin like that, especially considering that they'd only barely interacted!

"Gods above... I must be working too hard," she whispered.

And with that, Aurelia regrouped (again), and wrapped up what she absolutely had to in the office. She then debriefed Jamit on important items and took her airspeeder back to her apartment (http://cdn.homesthetics.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Modern-Central-Park-West-Penthouse-Duplex-in-Manhattan-New-York-by-Gwathmey-Siegel-Associates-homesthetics-modern-mansion-alternative-9.jpg). Kicking off her killer heels, the young executive quickly tidied her place, which meant restacking datacards and fluffing up a few pillows in the living room. Glancing at the chrono, she set to work on elements of dinner in the stark kitchen (http://www.examsuites.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/interior-architecture-apartment-black-and-white-kitchen-penthouse-design-ideas-with-granite-countertop-and-undermount-sink-featuring-huge-stainless-steel-refrigerator-and-recessed-ceiling-lights-mode.jpg) before showering and changing into a simple black dress (https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/28/fe/d1/28fed1b075a6bef672db691259dca713.jpg).

Dinner was just finishing in the oven, so Aurelia put the finishing touches on the salad and checked her stock of Corellian wines, pleased at the options they had. One last glance at the chrono and she realized her dinner guests should be arriving any minute.

Because Kalyn was plotting against her dear twin, she decided to not heckle Nikole on the way back to the ship. Instead they worked out the expense details and saved the information in a fresh datapad that Aurelia could upload from. It was clean and no other information on it. It was just how the Nystroms worked. Once they arrived back at the Ronan, Nikole went back to finish covering that panel, needing to bury herself in work and not think about the beautiful executive that had made the steely Morellian falter into a bashful bundle of nerves.

Kalyn had checked out their supplies and needed to replenish. She informed her sister she was taking Katja along and they would meet her at Aurelia's. They would take the rental speeder to store the supplies, and Nikole would take the air taxi. The eldest sister, by eleven minutes, thought nothing of it and changed into something more suitable for a business dinner, a tailored dark grey suit and deep blue blouse - unknowingly picking out a color similar to Aurelia's eyes. She also plucked an aged bottle of Corellian Red from their stock as a gift.

Her taxi arrived several minutes early and as they pulled up, the speeder was noticeably missing. She paid the driver and got out, immediately texting her sister.

Are you alright?

Of course. Just running a little late. Traffic.

Long as you two are okay?

Totally.

She laughed because that was definitely Katja.

Good. See you soon.

Stuffing her link into her pants pocket, Nikole walked up the stairs and could see the posh insides of Aurelia's apartment. It was completely sleek, modern and far too monochromatic for her tastes. She hit the buzzer and waited, bottled tucked under her arm with a foot tapping nervously as she hoped her sisters arrived soon. She needed back up in case she turned into a babbling idiot again.

Aurelia went to the door, smiling. The expression shifted for a just a moment when there was only one Nystrom woman at her doorstep, unsure which one it was until she saw the alarmed look on her face.

It's Nikole. Alone!

Unable to place how she felt about that because she was somewhere between thrilled, predatory, and scared to death quite suddenly. Aurelia plastered the confident smile back onto her face and nodded her head to her guest.

"Nikole, right? Please come in," Auri said, gesturing for her to enter with one hand. The other was gripping the doorknob with a vice grip. "Is your sister joining us still...?"

She immediately brushed past Aurelia, not commenting on her host's astute deduction she was Nikole, and was relieved for the few moments of silence to screw her head on properly so she can answer a simple, and logical, question.

"My sisters are stuck in traffic. I apologize for the delay," she explained, looking everywhere but Aurelia at the moment and realized her response warranted further information. "Katja is our youngest sister. There are three of us. Perhaps Claire mentioned that? Oh..."

Turning around, she pulled the bottle free and presented it to her awkwardly. "For you. Well ... us. All of us. For dinner."

Frak!

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 4th, 2015, 07:46:17 PM
"No... Claire didn't. But that's fine. The more the merrier," she replied graciously.

Aurelia reacted quickly when Nikole thrust the Red toward her, accepting it. She spied the vintage and gave an approving nod.

"Thank you. This will go well with dinner."

She gazed at Nikole as the woman avoided eye contact. Aurelia tried to make sense of the feelings she experienced again and came up at a loss. There was one thing that was clear: Nikole did not seem to feel whatever it was she was dealing with. The brunette seemed anxious and annoyed at being alone in her presence.

"Well, please sit down. I'll pour us a glass now, if you don't mind. Dinner will be just a few minutes longer, so I hope your sisters arrive soon..."

Truth and lie, she thought.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 4th, 2015, 07:51:39 PM
"I ... I had a feeling it would," she admitted. Nikole had a penchant for wine as much as tea - and it helped that she knew the menu was Corellian. The red went with almost anything, but it was the aged quality that would make the taste spectacular.

That makes two of us ...

"Hopefully the traffic's not too bad." She took a seat and marveled at how soft the cushions were. "And thank you. I'd like a glass."

She tentatively peeked towards the kitchen, watching Aurelia move around it as easy as if she were in the office, admiring such grace a beauty. Swallowing down her nerves as best as she could, she needed to muster some strength in her voice. "Thank you again. For dinner. With your schedule so busy, this really was unnecessary."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 4th, 2015, 07:59:16 PM
"You're welcome," Aurelia replied as she poured.

She carried the glasses into the living room and passed one to the brunette, taking a moment to admire her appearance in non-rugged attire. Nikole cleaned up nicely, Auri thought.

"Despite Coruscant being a melting pot of cultures and identities, it's not that often I run across other Corellians besides those who moved with the company two years ago. So, it was my pleasure to be able to make something for us," she said. "I cook for my brother when he can get away... but you can imagine what his hours are like, finishing up medical school."

Sitting down across from Nikole, Aurelia swirled, sniffed, and sipped the exquisite wine with an approving nod. She crossed her legs and regarded her.

"Thank you again for bringing the wine. It's perfect."

Like you.

Auri, stop. What are you even thinking?

She's perfect.

She isn't even your type. What's wrong with you?

The thoughts raced through her mind as she gazed at her pensively, a delicate frown crossing her brows.

Nikole Nystrom

Taking the glass, grateful to have something to busy her hands with, Nikole afford a momentary gaze up at her hostess, before doing the same - swirling the glasses contents, inhaling its distinct blend, and then took a small sip to appreciate its flavor. She practically purred doing it.

"I'm glad you're enjoying it," she said with a heartfelt smile.

Licking her lips after taking another sip, she became thoughtful. "I can relate to your situation in a sense. To not having many of your kin around that is. It ... sometimes lonely that way. More so with your brother away at school. At least I've my sisters to keep me occupied."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 4th, 2015, 08:11:20 PM
"It is," Aurelia agreed. "And you're lucky to have them close. Keir is on-planet, but his schedule makes it like he's light-years away. Actually... so does mine."

She looked wistful at that, and took a sip of her wine. Expressing vulnerability made her uncomfortable, and it was twice now that Nikole had evoked that from her.

Strange.

Aurelia glanced at the chrono. She had the curious feeling that Nikole's sisters had abandoned her; her intuitions were usually right, but she wasn't sure what to make of that, if she was right.

"Have you been in your business for long?" Aurelia asked, steering the topic back to an easier topic. "I traveled with my parents in my youth... but it was being shuttled to Sith planets, or in and out of war zones, sometimes of their creation. not quite the same as working for yourself, I suppose...?"

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 4th, 2015, 08:18:53 PM
Brown eyes grew sympathetic. As much as Katja drove her nuts, she loved her dearly and was grateful that their arguments haven't driven her away. At least they saw each other almost everyday, while Aurelia so far from her own kin despite being on the same planet.

Speaking of... where are they?

"Business reminds me of something I've almost forgot. Here." She produced a datapad from her jacket and slide it across the caf table. "Projected expenses as promised. But to answer your question, yes. We've been doing this for awhile. Sort of fell into it after our parents passed."

Admitting that made her uncomfortable because never spoke to strangers of such matters. It confused her as fer link chimed and she excused herself. "I'm sorry. I hope this is them letting me know they're almost here."

Not gonna make it.

Eyes widened in terror. Why not?!

Traffic was an accident. By the time we're rerouted, we're gonna be late. Taking Big Sis number 2 to a bar instead.

Are you joking?

Nope.

You're joking!

Nikole's panic said everything that needed to be said, especially at how hard she pounded at the keys. She eventually pocketed the link with distress and quickly took her glass once again. "They can't make it," she said through gritted teeth. "An accident occurred that would delay them for hours..."

Shaking her head with embarrassment, she sighed. "I'm so sorry for this."

Aurelia Wayne

Aurelia waited quietly as Nikole communicated with her siblings, studying her reaction. She could see the blind terror and panic on the smuggler's face and realized that her intuition was right. Aurelia looked down at the specs that had been provided while she waited, confirming payment of their costs for the journey to and from Corellia.

"No need to apologize," she said with a perfect sabacc face as Nikole confirmed the situation. "Coruscant traffic, you know. There's no avoiding it. Literally, at times."

Aurelia's eyes narrowed, trying to decide what the appropriate course of action was now. Nikole was clearly uncomfortable in her presence. Encouraging her to stay for dinner, no matter the jolt she felt by engaging with her, would be foolish. Right?

"You're... welcome to stay for dinner, if you like. But, I understand if this would be too uncomfortable." She rose, still holding her wine glass. "Two strangers, nearly, and... I'm sure you'd have things to do to prep for the trip..."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 4th, 2015, 08:35:36 PM
There were no lies with that. The accident that delay her family had all the emergency lanes flooded as well and unless they wanted to be complete asses and dart in and out of traffic while avoiding debris and the law, it was best that they went out for dinner instead.

"True," Nikole agreed pensively. That was until Aurelia outright stated how the Morellian was feeling.

She glanced down at her drink, trying to slow her rapidly beating heart. "I don't mean to come off as uncomfortable," she admitted and set down her glass. "And I'm sorry that you wasted your time preparing dinner for all of us."

Standing up, she awkwardly shuffled herself towards the door, but not before giving Aurelia a timid smile. "Thank you."

It was far easier to leave then try and figure out what it was about this woman that made her feel vulnerable and lost. Why she wanted Aurelia to find a way to make her stay can capitalize on this moment, instead of running ...

"Well... if you did want to stay and have dinner, you could. After all, you'll be impacted by traffic too if you leave now," Aurelia offered.

She offered her best disarming smile, recognizing the anxiety she felt at the idea of Nikole leaving lessened with the effort of having her stay.

"Dinner, another glass of wine, and talk about life back on Corellia. It's strange but I can't help but feel like we've met before..."

She bite her lip thoughtfully, conceding that traffic would impact her travel and it would look incredibly rude to leave under those pretenses. That would make it clear Nikole didn't want to be here. She did ... and that scared her.

"What was that?" she asked in bewilderment. "Met before?"

Blushing softly, she cleared her throat. "I think I would've remembered that ..."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 5th, 2015, 06:47:28 PM
At that, Aurelia had to smile.

"Me too, honestly. But it's just that... well, you seem familiar somehow." She shifted her shoulders, regarding Nikole. "Anyway... will you stay? Dinner is ready, and then you can eat and dodge traffic."

Nikole Nystrom

She tried to place Aurelia anywhere but here because Nikole had a spot on memory regarding everything. It was why she was a brilliant linguist, able to memorize anything, but her passion for languages was what made her speak a dozen or so of them, that her body was equipped to speak, fluently. She narrowed her gaze, staring into beautiful blue eyes ...

"I'm uncertain ..." she began, almost as if talking about dinner! "But... I ... perhaps? Maybe somewhere in passing we've met? We're both from Corellia so ... who knows?"

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 5th, 2015, 06:57:49 PM
Aurelia nodded, perplexed by it too. She lifted her brows, half-smiling at Nikole. If nothing else, there was definite attraction and she thought and hoped Nikole felt that too.

"Please stay?" she asked, trying to infuse a bit of her charm and persuasion into her words. "It... it might be good. For us both."

Auri realized how that sounded, then laughed.

There was still that palpable nervous air about Nikole as she looked away, fighting a smile before she ended up chuckling along with Aurelia.

"About as smooth as my saying I didn't want to take advantage of you back in your office?" she responded back jokingly. Her nerves clearly settled somewhat as her smile was broad and genuine.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 5th, 2015, 07:11:31 PM
Aurelia grinned wickedly at that.

"Just about as smooth, yes," she laughed. "C'mon. We can have dinner on the patio. I have a nice view..."

I do! And not just my company! Auri thought, amusing herself. Expecting that Nikole would follow, she walked into the kitchen to get dinner out of the oven.

"I'll say ..." Nikole muttered under her breath as she admired Aurelia's 'view' while following her into the kitchen. Now wanting to have eyes linger for too long, she leaned against the counter and looked expectant.

"Can I help with anything?"

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 5th, 2015, 07:21:04 PM
Aurelia looked over her shoulder and smiled.

"Thanks, but I've got it under control. Well... you could get the wine and pour us another glass... I'll get the salads and the entree out."

The entree in question was the family recipe for lasagna. Nikole, she hoped, would have no idea it was previously frozen! Aurelia was good, but putting together an entirely fresh meal that fast was too fast! She cooked in batches for herself (and for Keir, when she could catch him) regularly.

Nodding, she walked over to the bottle. "As you wish."

She scooped up both glasses by the stems and refilled them with expert care. "Whatever you made for dinner tonight smells wonderful."

Even though she was not asked too, Nikole took enough plates and silverware for the two of them and brought them to the patio. She stopped her tracks, admiring the nighttime skyline and traffic that buzzed through the horizon.

Aurelia smiled, seeing Nikole's reaction to the view. She enjoyed it too and spent many an evening out on the patio, even if it was usually working from there.

"Lasagna. A recipe my parents had perfected together, though I'll admit I've added a few secret ingredients myself," she replied as she set the salad out.

Aurelia went back inside and plated the lasagna portions, a little larger than usual because she was famished. If nothing else, she hoped Nikole would take it as being generous rather than a glutton! She smiled at her as she set the plates down.

"And... dinner is served," she said softly.

Oct 5th, 2015, 07:46:08 PM
"If Kalyn were here, she'd be the one to deduce your secret ingredients," she said, laying down the salad plates and glasses. "She's the cook in the family ..."

She was wistful speaking of her sister despite seeing her only a few hours ago. They were that close. Aurelia's return broke her from that loss and eyed the servings that she brought back.

"Knew i was hungry?" she asked and pulled out her hostess' chair.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 5th, 2015, 07:48:28 PM
"Mm, thank you. And well, I am too then," she replied with a smile. "Ah, Kalyn's the cook. What is your role... and, was it Katja, you said? Your sister?"

Of course, having seen Nikole in what she perceived as "smuggler's attire," she imagined her being the chief mechanic in their operation. But, Auri didn't want to stereotype her in the least! And, she hoped that safe questions would prompt the beautiful woman to talk more. Aurelia loved the tone and accent of her voice.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 5th, 2015, 07:55:23 PM
She pushed in her chair, shaking her head. "Kalyn's more than a cook. And helluva shot. But to be honest, she's better at numbers than I am, which is why we're far better off in our career path than most."

Taking the seat across from Aurelia, she opened her napkin and set it along her lap as she continued. "Katja is the youngest of us. She's ..."

Pursing her lips, she searched for the right description for the wild Nystrom. "... larger than life. She has an extreme lust for it. I try to temper her, but she's quite angry ... never quite came to terms that she was orphaned so young."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 5th, 2015, 08:00:16 PM
Aurelia noticed how easily Nikole spoke of her sisters, but avoided mentioning her own credits. It was both endearing and enigmatic, leaving her even more curious about this woman that was affecting her so!

"Kalyn seemed quite impressive in our meeting. And, as for Katja... I empathize, even if I was an 'adult'--" At that, she made air quotes with her fingers, "--when my father died. I was Daddy's Girl and had to quell my rage at losing him. What had happened to your parents? If you don't mind my asking."

As she asked, Auri was trying to run numbers of her own, trying to gauge the twins' age against their younger sister. Kalyn and Nikole didn't seem much older than Aurelia herself, so how young was Katja? How long ago had their parents' passed? Again, the mystery of the woman before her continued to lure her in.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 5th, 2015, 08:08:08 PM
She dressed her salad and mixed up the leafy greens and vegetables, nodding as Aurelia explained her feelings about loss. The only difference was that Katja had never knew her parents as the three of them were ushered into a shuttle by their uncle as they were forced off planet forever ...

"Illness. We lost them to both illness," she admitted quietly. "Katja was ..."

Barely a year old as I ripped her out of our mother's dead arms...

"We were devastated, but we endured."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 6th, 2015, 12:49:29 PM
The empathic side of her nature was reeling with the pain that Nikole endured.

"I'm so sorry for your loss. At least my mother is still in contact, even if not exactly around," she whispered. "You and Kalyn have had a hard path to take, I'm sure, in taking care of yourselves and your sister."

Aurelia reached over to touch Nikole's arm sympathetically, and again, the world felt like it shifted on its axis at that contact. She gasped softly and pulled back, staring into her eyes.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 6th, 2015, 07:10:11 PM
Brows lifted in agreement. Katja has always, and still is, a handful. But they were Nystroms. Her parents instilled that within them at a young at that Nystroms always take care of one another, no matter the cost. Even the greatest cost of ones own life. Katja understood that, gratefully. Despite how destructive she were to herself, she would do anything to protect her older sisters. No amount of passionate arguing would change that.

Aurelia's words were kind and genuine. It wasn't the run of the mill sympathy that most beings in the galaxy would placate her with if they've had the chance to learn her story. They were few and far between. Which made this more peculiar. Nikole wasn't one to open up so easily. How did this conversation turn so suddenly about her past? Or why her face suddenly flushed at the gentle brush of Aurelia's hand against her arm ...

Her eyes lifted immediately to Aurelia's after hearing that gasp. "Why did you pull away...?"

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 6th, 2015, 07:18:47 PM
Aurelia's expression was one of puzzlement, trying to find a way to explain what she felt. Coruscant was stable and gravity had not changed. So why did touching Nikole make it feel like everything was different?

And how poorly would admitting these crazy feelings for her go over?! Auri thought. I can't even fathom them. How would she take that? Like I'm a loon!

Still, Nikole deserved an answer.

"Did you feel the same jolt I did?" was her reply, tossing the question back at the gorgeous woman.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 6th, 2015, 07:27:58 PM
Nikole's face worked through the question and its implications.

"I ..." she grit her teeth and looked away, hating how her awkwardness made it difficult to express herself. Negotiations and sweet talking herself out of a firefight she had no problem with, but trying to explain to a beautiful woman that she took her breath away from the moment their eyes met.

" ... perhaps?" she answered with wince because that sounded so terrible!

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 6th, 2015, 07:40:58 PM
Aurelia, obviously, didn't know Nikole well enough to know her body language tells. She could only recognize that Nikole had a tendency to shun eye contact, and that - of the two sisters - this one was the more reserved. Aurelia could observe these traits, but didn't know the meaning behind them. Similarly, she didn't know how to read that interrogative response.

"Ah. Well," she said with an embarrassed smile. Aurelia took a sip of her wine. "Static electricity, perhaps."

After all, why would she feel that jolt too?

"If you'd like, I have a few different flavors of ice cream for dessert," she said to make the offer clear that Nikole was welcome to linger longer.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 6th, 2015, 07:48:42 PM
"No," she said abruptly, but wasn't referring to the ice cream at all. Nikole may have become easily unraveled by Aurelia's natural charm, but there was just something about her that made immediately know that she was not telling the truth.

She placed her arm on the table and leaved forward, searching Aurelia's gaze for understanding. "Forget the ice cream. You ..." she paused, flexing her fingers nervously, trying to not focus on how hard her heart was pounding. "You don't believe a word of what you just said. Why?"

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 6th, 2015, 07:58:48 PM
It happened again! Nikole was calling her out again and it startled Aurelia. She stared at her wide-eyed, searching the brown eyes that stared so intently at her.

Gah! What do I say?

"No. I don't believe it static electricity," she whispered. "But, to say what I feel when we've touched... you'd think I'm pulling some sort of ruse for business sake. Or that I'm a seductress."

Aurelia blushed because saying that just outed an element of her feelings! She cursed under her breath at the slip, irritated with herself.

"I don't do that around others. Lose control over my words. Or feel like Coruscant has tilted on its axis." Aurelia looked at her imploringly. "Who are you?"

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 6th, 2015, 08:08:40 PM
She watched as Aurelia was taken by surprise and felt it herself, but said nothing as Nikole needed to hear the other woman's explanation as to what she was feeling. The answer confused her for a moment until she worked out the meaning behind Aurelia's confession ...

She wants me? What? No ... not exactly right. She gets flustered like I do when ...

"Gods..." gasped Nikole, looking away fearfully. Their similar responses to the same stimuli, which was them, made it impossible to believe that they were within the same system in regards to their feelings. That there was an instant connection earlier today that made their hearts ache with desire.

"I'm no one special. Truly ..."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 7th, 2015, 06:21:12 AM
"I... I think I beg to differ."

Aurelia blushed, tearing her gaze away from Nikole. She half-frowned, trying to make sense of this onset of feelings which were potentially mutual. It was unlike anything she'd felt before, for anyone. That was both thrilling and terrifying, especially as she considered the suddenness, and the very different lives they led.

She reached out her hand again to touch her arm. Whispering, the Corellian said, "I think you're someone quite special."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 7th, 2015, 07:37:37 PM
This was asinine. They were two very different people from two very different worlds and they knew next to nothing about each other. To feel a connection so intimately with a stranger who's very touch made her body tremble and her heart ache for more could only mean one thing from her perspective as a Morellian, and it scared her to death.

In her culture there was the belief that there was one being out their in the universe that was meant for you. They were your 'one', your mate for life, and this was called the Morellian Bond. This belief held true for millennia, even evolving into something physically triggered within the two individuals that were destined for one another. That alluring pull towards them that they were all you thought about when they were in the room. That somehow you knew each other so intimately within those few minutes despite a handshake and a quick introduction. You just knew. It was how the Humans would say it was 'love at first sight'.

It was also rare, the bond. Few would find such a perfect match but the culture embraced it! Celebrated it ... even allowing the dissolving of marriage between Morellians because the bond was a once in a life time opportunity and to deny it was sacrilege. It transcended age and gender and even species, though that was even rarer than the bond itself! There were only a handful of documented cases of that occurring ...

Nikole couldn't believe it. How could she find her one on Coruscant? To a human that she'd outlive! It was terrible fate if this were true. She lost her parents, her previous girlfriend ... she can't lose another if this were true.

But ... how can Aurelia feel something between us? It makes little sense. She is no Morellian... this makes no sense!

Frustrated and frightened, Nikole rose to her feet and put some distance between them... at least to the balcony with the see through floor. It made her dizzy seeing herself so high up ... or it was probably just Aurelia's presence that made her feel so out of sorts. She curled her hands around the edge of the rails and leaned back, arms extended fully as she worked through this.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 7th, 2015, 07:52:48 PM
Smooth, Auri. Misjudged that spectacularly.

Pursing her lips, she rose and left her guest to her contemplation at the balcony's edge, carrying the dirty dishes back into the kitchen. It was the polite thing to do, she thought, to give her space and time to collect her thoughts since this was completely awkward now.

Aurelia wiped her hands on the dish towel and felt a pang of regret that she'd read the situation wrong. She just hoped she hadn't offended Nikole with the light flirting and the admission of her feelings. Her empathy didn't backfire often, but Aurelia found that when it did, it was usually a doozy. And this was such a strange case!

At least traffic should be easier on her route now, she considered with a sigh. I'll tackle the ice cream myself and just hope that Kalyn makes the delivery alone when they get back...

Clearing her throat, Aurelia walked back toward the balcony and rested a hand on the patio chair. "I apologize for any confusion or awkwardness. I hope you're not offended, Nikole."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 7th, 2015, 08:01:23 PM
She listened as Aurelia shuffled around, cleaning up and felt a pang of regret for not explaining her anxiety. Aurelia hadn't shouted at her angrily so the Corellian wasn't offended but if she had to guess, she had to be feeling remorseful, silly, or outright embarrassed for what just happened. How she reacted wasn't Aurelia's fault.

"Bloody hell, Nikole," she muttered at the depths of Coruscant below her. "Get your head on straight."

Nikole stood up straight quickly and awkwardly, Aurelia clearing her throat had taken her by surprise and she hoped the woman didn't just hear her talking to herself.

Get it together... NOW!

"Ah ... no." She swallowed hard and with one hand still firmly affixed to the rail, she half shifted towards Aurelia, eyes unable to meet just yet. "I'm ... I'm not. And you're not the one that needs to ... to apologize."

Closing her eyes to muster some strength, she opened them, locking onto Aurelia's features. "It is I that needs to apologize. I'm sorry for being ... being so terrible at this. You've been so gracious and I keep behaving so ... so stupidly."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 8th, 2015, 06:17:18 AM
Aurelia met her gaze, head cocked slightly to one side.

The table between them provided a buffer, she thought, and also a barrier. She was conscious of the fact that she could move around it, but Aurelia wasn't so certain that was a good idea. Not when Nikole looked so apologetic and anxious... and she was still at the balcony's edge.

"You don't need to apologize. You're not being stupid," she said softly. "I have a natural tendency to intimidate others, or so I've been told. And my effort at flirting has been described as a firaxan shark (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Firaxan_shark) on the attack at best and aloof at worst."

Not to mention that you're so stunning and affecting me so strongly that I don't know which way is up right about now...

She half-smiled, heart pounding.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 8th, 2015, 07:39:03 PM
Her laugh erupted easily after Aurelia's description of herself. Nikole had seen no signs of a firaxan shark, which she was grateful for! She could barely keep it together with the light flirting and misunderstandings that accrued tonight.

"I'm sorry," she blushed, realizing that she was apologizing again for really no reason this time! "I don't mean to laugh. I'm just ... well, unable to picture you viciously going after me like some prey."

As she spoke, she walked away from the balcony and came to meet Aurelia on the opposite end of the table. The Corellian's off handed comment had chiseled through her guest's nerves and the tension had lessened considerably.

Perhaps this is all it appears to be. Two people uncannily attracted to one another ...

She was willing herself to believe that despite her heart pounding away with absolute certainty that this was more than just physical desires. Their eyes meeting made Nikole's soul yearn to reach over and take her hand ... to touch her because she had yet to initiate such contact and she was thirsty for it.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 8th, 2015, 07:44:39 PM
Aurelia winked and chuckled. "Oh, I could be such a predator... but, I'll contain my primal urges as best as I can."

Little did she know the meaning that there could be for Nikole in what she'd just said! As Nikole looked no different than any other Human, Aurelia was oblivious to what was really happening.

Shifting directions because she didn't know what to say but wanted to keep Nikole as her guest, Aurelia asked, "Would you like to see some of my work?"

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 8th, 2015, 07:48:40 PM
The tension that had almost dissipated flared suddenly at Aurelia's word choice. Brown eyes widened as Nikole struggled to contain the small cry that threatened to overtake her. This couldn't be a coincidence. Not anymore. Primal urges was precisely how the Morellian Bond had been described. Panic stricken once again, she clutched at her stomach and felt lightheaded ... Corellia definitely titled on its axis.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 8th, 2015, 07:55:54 PM
"Are you alright?" Aurelia asked, concerned at seeing Nikole clutch her abdomen in apparent pain.

She scooted around the table to touch her shoulder, trying to be reassuring and soothing. Aurelia pulled the chair back then, and urged her to sit.

"Nikole? Should I call for a medic?"

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 8th, 2015, 07:58:58 PM
"No!" she snapped and did not sit.

Brown eyes stared wildly at Aurelia, raking over her form with far more obvious intent then ever before. She quickly looked away to get herself under control, warring with accepting what was happening because it was her culture and denying it out of fear.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 8th, 2015, 08:04:30 PM
Aurelia flinched but hovered at her side. As she worried that her guest was alright, she silently prayed that whatever stomach trouble Nikole was feeling was not related to the dinner she'd prepared for her!

She met her wild-eyed gaze with her own look of worry. Despite the tension and the look in Nikole's eyes, Auri was unafraid.

"Nikole...? What's wrong? Are you alright?"

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 8th, 2015, 08:08:13 PM
Breathing so rapidly that Aurelia would surely believed that Nikole was on the verge of hyperventilating, the Morellian shook her head. "No. I'm ... I'm not alright. I've never been this out of control ... not since meeting you ..."

She stepped and looked away, moving around the table. She needed distance, clarity... Aurelia was giving her neither which was the bond's motive. It wanted Nikole to give into her urges and accept what was happening as she should be doing. Not running towards the patio door ...

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 9th, 2015, 11:39:46 AM
Aurelia grimaced, feeling badly that Nikole was so uncomfortable around her. She certainly wasn't the first and likely wouldn't be the last, but it bothered her with the lovely brunette.

"I'm sorry, Nikole. I don't mean to make you uncomfortable or out of control," Auri said quietly. "If you want to go, I understand..."

Because insisting she stay against her will would be terrible. Aurelia didn't want to make this worse, and her feelings had nothing to do with their business arrangement.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 9th, 2015, 12:01:11 PM
"It's not your fault. I swear it," she rambled, stopping shy of the stairs that led to freedom because she saw Aurelia's bewildered expression reflected in the patio door straight at her as if the Corellian was standing before her. The look mortified her, causing her shoulders to sag forward... so lost.

"I ... I just don't know what to do or ... or say to... to make this ... this ... " she clenched her fists, body stiffening as the words seized the linguist. "Frak."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 9th, 2015, 12:08:40 PM
Aurelia lifted her brows.

"If you do want to stay awhile, how about another glass of wine. I'll show you my work. My... sketches, that is. I used to be a designer for CEC, briefly..."

She was proud of the design work she'd done for CEC. Had her father not been killed, Aurelia would still be there. It was why, now, she was working so hard to acquire the corporation and make it a division of WayneTech.

"They're not art so to speak, but..."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 9th, 2015, 12:21:42 PM
"I ... I don't think so." She shook her head, blushing with nerves and embarrassment. "I've made myself a fool in your presence long enough. I'm sorry to have ... to have caused this night to be awkward..."

Gods!

She ran fingers through her hair, her mind badgering her to stay because Aurelia had provided the perfect segue to get to know her better. Possibly even deescalate her anxiety in being around her to get to know her supposed mate. She had to stay but ...

"I'm sorry ..." she mumbled again and walked up the stairs and through the patio, eyes stinging at being such a coward.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 9th, 2015, 12:26:04 PM
"Nikole, please!"

Auri hurried after her, still not knowing what was driving her. Either of them!

"Please don't go. I'm afraid that if you do, I'll never see you again," she said in a rush.

Auri didn't know why that mattered so deeply to her, but it did. She just knew that Kalyn would deliver the medical bag and that Nikole would vanish from her life forever.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 9th, 2015, 12:39:50 PM
No! Stop following me! Make this easier on me!

Aurelia's pleas still forced the Morellian to stop halfway through the living room.

Damn the bond working against me ... making Aurelia know precisely what would happen ...

"I'll be back with your grandfather's bag..." she lied, not out of spite but just because she needed to know how deep this went. "... as promised."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 9th, 2015, 12:45:01 PM
Aurelia sighed and looked away. Nikole might have insisted that it wasn't "her," but it was clear that Nikole wanted nothing to do with her.

"Fine. I can't make you stay if you don't want to," she said, defeated. Aurelia refused further eye contact. "I don't know what it is we are feeling, but if you've no desire to find out... forcing it would be wrong. I'll... see you when you're back with the bag."

She said that, knowing that was entirely a lie. Aurelia just knew that as fact.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 9th, 2015, 12:58:23 PM
She heard it in Aurelia's voice, her resignation and pain and when their eyes no longer met, Nikole felt her chest seize with torment, knowing she caused this on purpose.

Holding her stomach, she leaned against the back of the couch, physically unable to move - or at least that was how it felt to the Morellian. Her feet felt as if they had adhered to the flooring and she had lost the ability to even think about lifting them.

But I am being forced to stay. Because I have to.

"You know that was a lie," she whispered, not knowing how to salvage this at all. "Right?"

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 9th, 2015, 01:09:42 PM
"Yes, of course I know you're lying," Auri replied tersely. "But you didn't want the job, and yes I could tell that was your initial feeling, nor did you want to stay for dinner... I'd like to get to know you. Spend time with you. But, if you don't feel the same... feel free to be on your way. I won't keep you any longer."

Aurelia sighed. Being lied to by this stranger hurt. It hurt worse than what made sense, but Aurelia couldn't make sense of that. What she did know was that it was foolish to think this smuggler would have an interest in her. She decided Nikole must have looked so pained because she was repulsed and was trying hard not to blurt that and make matters worse.

"I'll work through your sister if you have any needs between here and Corellia," she went on, sounding aloof and all business suddenly. "That way, you won't have to see me and things will be simpler."

Aurelia felt strangely heartbroken to say that. But what choice was there but to speak with finality?

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 9th, 2015, 01:32:26 PM
With her eyes closed, she took in everything Aurelia had to say, wincing when it was confirmed that she was well aware of Nikole's immediate reaction to her each and every time since they first met. Now her disposition had become cold and unsettling because she was protecting herself from further pain. This had to stop, but did it even matter at this point? Aurelia may have already written her off as a lost cause because of the bumbling, scared, fool that Nikole forced as the only impression the Corellian had to go on.

She looked over at Aurelia who avoided eye contact and it was difficult to gauge anything from her physically. She hid her feelings well behind the mask of indifference she wore, but Nikole could feel Aurelia's heart breaking with words she was forced to say.

"I didn't want the job because I find small jobs like this beneath us. Our talents are put to far better use. But it was the story about your brother that changed my mind. Family is important to me," she explained, balling her hands into fists to stop from shaking. The pain of her nails digging into skin kept her focus, allowing her to speak clearly. "And I didn't want to stay for dinner because you scare me. You have since we first met because I feel precisely the same way that you do and the ramifications of it all is unsettling to me. Never in all my life have I felt an immediate connection to another being as I have with you ..."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 9th, 2015, 01:40:38 PM
"Well... feeling's mutual."

Aurelia glanced at her, heart hammering loudly. She still looked impassive, afraid to show her feelings. Slowly, though, Auri walked toward her.

"You don't need to fear me. I'm not going to hurt you." She sighed. "Why do you think I will? Why are you so scared?"

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 9th, 2015, 01:48:05 PM
She shook her head with a smirk, chuckling oddly. "I know you're not going to hurt me."

You could never hurt me. I know it in my heart despite knowing nothing about you. And when you do hurt me, it'll be because you are no longer alive in this galaxy.

Nikole gazed softened, wishing that Aurelia's had as well. "It's ... just that... if this is what I believe it to be, then my entire life changes."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 9th, 2015, 01:54:09 PM
Aurelia smiled ruefully at that, taking it as a compliment.

"Well, thank you. Though I don't know that just getting to know me is that life altering..." She blushed softly. "But I do feel like my world literally tips sideways around you. And yet, I want your presence to keep doing that to me."

She gazed at Nikole, hoping that honesty didn't scare her off. Auri thought it might but was done with these polite lies.

Nodding, she looked down at the floor because Aurelia's presence still shook her to her core despite finding a way to speak to her coherently. "I feel it too. And ... you really don't want it to end?"

Her words were cautious, trying to work out how Aurelia could be feeling similar effects of a bond as she was human. Even if there was something else diluting her blood, she couldn't be Morellian. The Force perhaps? At least that would explain how Aurelia was able to tell that she was lying. Morellian Bonds were partial rooted in the ways of the Force, or so scholars say. If she were sensitive and accepting of the physical impact that Nikole was giving off through that invisible energy field, it could possibly mimic a Morellian Bond. The handful of cases that a Morellian accepted the bond of another species, the non Morellian experience nothing. No inherit sense of what their bonded was feeling, no desire to please them, no intense sexual arousal that culminated in mating ...

That line of thought had to cease! Nikole's mind wandered down a delicious, but dangerous, path that would inhibit any progress they were making right now! She was glad she was looking down at the floor to hide her blushing face.

Again, Auri was amused and enchanted by the fact that Nikole knew so little about her. She was used to dealing with press hounds and other executives who knew every moment of her business, personal and professional. If Nikole had known her, she would have known that Aurelia would never have invited the sisters for dinner if she wasn't interested and curious to see where the attraction went!

"I'm certain I don't want it to end," she verbalized for Nikole's benefit.

She smiled tentatively, still trying to work out what was going on. It was clear that this was -something more- than just attraction and interest. For them both. Aurelia stepped closer, seeking her gaze.

"So what do you say to another glass of wine?"

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 9th, 2015, 06:52:44 PM
And there's further confirmation... as if I needed more of it. I can't divulge everything yet or she'll think I've gone space happy. Now calm your ass down, drink some wine, and get to know the woman that you were destined for before you became a blubbering idiot that hurt her feelings and made her second guess what was right all along.

Feeling eyes upon her, Nikole slowly rose her head until the point where eyes met. She prayed her face had returned to its normal color.

"Alright," she said quietly. "Another glass."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 9th, 2015, 06:57:02 PM
"Very good. Make yourself comfortable. I'll pour for us..."

Aurelia breathed an audible sign of relief and went to fetch the bottle of wine. She poured them both healthy glasses and carried them back to where Nikole waited.

"Is this sort of interest new for you?" she asked candidly. "Our both being women. It -is- for me, I'll admit. Not many have turned my head, especially as hard as you did."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 9th, 2015, 07:03:29 PM
'Make myself comfortable?' she mouthed silently, looking around. She had no idea where to sit and remained standing in the same position when Aurelia returned.

"Hmm?" Nikole expected a different question or comment. Like, why are you still standing! Instead, she was asked a very honest, and personal, question and learned a little about Aurelia. The bond cared little for gender. Just ideal compatibility.

"No. This isn't," she answered, carefully accepting the wine glass. "But I'm surprised this is for you. Since you said you've at least looked ... or. Oh." Things clicked. "That's all? Just looked?"

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 9th, 2015, 07:11:22 PM
Auri sipped her wine and gave a slow nod.

"Correct. Looking and very light flirting, while in college." She said so matter of factly. "I hope that isn't a detriment for you..."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 9th, 2015, 07:17:39 PM
"After every social faux pas I've done tonight, do you honestly believe that I'm going to judge you for that?" Her smile came naturally now before taking a sip of the wine. "I wouldn't. Promise."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 9th, 2015, 07:23:39 PM
Aurelia chuckled.

"Well, thank you. I appreciate your saying that," she said. "And as for this evening, it's alright. I'm just glad we're talking."

As for the intensity of how being around Nikole made her feel, Auri was still at a loss. She gestured to the couch and slipped out of her heels, taking a seat at one corner.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 9th, 2015, 07:29:36 PM
She blinked, wondering where Aurelia was off to and realized they were still standing! Nikole followed her and took a seat at the opposite end of the couch ... not because of wanting to put distance between them, but because it just made sense considering they recently got back on the same page. Sitting right next to the Corellian would probably make Nikole's head spin and they would be back to square one.

But now they were back to being awkward, because Nikole wasn't sure what to ask or say right now. She focused on sipping the delicious wine for now and hoped her hostess would come up with something!

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 9th, 2015, 07:32:54 PM
Auri gazed at her out the corner of her eye, smiling as she sipped her wine. Her pulse quickened from that alone; Nikole was gorgeous!

"So... what do you like to do between jobs? What are you interested in?"

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 9th, 2015, 07:38:04 PM
"Oh...well, nothing too exciting. Truly. I read. A lot. History mainly. If not that, tinkering on our ship's system and playing far too many hours of 'net gaming," she admitted with a shy smile. "I would presume the CEO of WayneTech wouldn't be caught dead playing System Siege?"

System Siege was a single player, or more commonly used as a co-op or player versus player on the holonet version, where players set out to take over a sector of space through obtaining resource and building up their own fleet of ships and soldiers. It was mainly a strategy game.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 9th, 2015, 07:42:15 PM
Aurelia listened, liking what she heard.

"I know -of- the game. I'd tried it once, but could use a good tutor..." she replied.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 9th, 2015, 07:47:13 PM
Her eyes widened in surprise. "You've ...tried the game and willing to give it a go again?"

She chuckled. "Are you sure? The game's addicting."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 9th, 2015, 07:49:51 PM
"I didn't have time to devote before. But, I think I could enjoy it if guided on how to play..."

Aurelia smiled and sipped her wine, amused that Nikole was surprised by that.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 9th, 2015, 07:52:17 PM
"You uh ..." Nikole found herself stumbling a bit, but only because Aurelia greatly surprised her that she had a genuine interest in the game. Something that the Morellian loved to play in her free time! "So that means, you ... you'd have the time now?"

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 9th, 2015, 08:19:22 PM
"Honestly?" she laughed, "No. I have merger negotiations in progress that consume all my time."

Auri grinned.

"Except tonight, clearly. But I would love to learn the game. With you. Maybe when you get back with the bag, we could make time to teach me? After Keir's graduation."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 9th, 2015, 08:25:37 PM
"Ah," she said with disappointment and then sipped her wine. Disposable time for a CEO was ridiculous, especially with a merger commitment.

"I suppose that could be a possibility," she confessed. "At present, we don't have too many jobs lined up. It was on purpose. The family required some down time."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 9th, 2015, 08:28:59 PM
"If we planned for, let's say, an hour where we could play and learn remotely while you're traveling and I'm here... that might work," Aurelia said. "It would just have to be very late Coruscant time because of work."

She couldn't believe her own words, that she was purposely carving out time for this! For a game! No, she amended. It was making time for -Nikole-.

"What do you say?"

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 9th, 2015, 08:34:15 PM
This would appease a concern that Nikole had not voiced, which was a fear that she could revert back to the bumbling fool that the two of them had worked so hard to finally overcome with time put between them. Having time to chat and play during the two week period would lesson that anxiety when they were reunited.

"I'm sure that could be arranged. I lead odd hours because of the nature of my work. Were you thinking to schedule a few sessions while I'm away? I don't think you'd be up for a daily chat and mentoring due to the late hours." But that was what Aurelia intended. Confirmed by the shy look that crossed her features. "Oh ... you ... meant ... you did mean daily? Well... nightly for you. Technically ..."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 06:26:32 AM
Auri smiled and blushed softly.

"Yes... I'd like to try nightly and see if that works. If you'd like that too," she said.

It's crazy, she thought, but I can't imagine not being in regular contact with Nikole. What has gotten into me?

Auri took another sip of wine, wondering.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 12:01:30 PM
"I ... I uh ... sure?" She hadn't expected a daily encounter with the captivating executive but clearly Aurelia wanted that contact. It made her presumption that the Corellian had to be Force Sensitive solidify further.

"I mean, yes!" Now she sounded too eager and blushed. "Yes. I mean. I would like that too."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 12:03:44 PM
Aurelia chuckled lightly, glad to hear it.

"Good. It should be fun."

She took a sip of her wine and imagined these late night chats with Nikole. She smiled inwardly, looking forward to it.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 12:10:27 PM
"Are you a fast learner? The first hour alone is going to be going over game mechanics, strategy, options... those sorts of things," she said, sounding quite serious about this. She was also relieved that Aurelia hadn't found her too eager and seemed genuinely excited about this.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 12:12:59 PM
Aurelia cocked her head to the side, thinking.

"Why don't we get started tonight while you're here?" she suggested. "That way, we can make the most of game hour while you're on the job."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 12:16:21 PM
She swallowed hard, feeling put on the spot. Nikole was a hardcore gamer when it came to System Siege, but now she had to sound like she knew what she was doing with Aurelia watching intently and so close to her! She was hoping the distance between them would make it easier to tutor Aurelia.

"I suppose... we could do that. But if you've not played in a long while, the updates may take an hour alone to complete ..." She took a healthy swig of her wine, needing the liquid courage.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 12:20:52 PM
Aurelia smiled.

"Well, at least help me set up the updates for now. So that I'm ready when we go to play and learn," she said.

Is it obvious that I'm trying to encourage her to stay longer? That I don't want her to go? Auri wondered.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 12:23:58 PM
Aurelia's plan went over Nikole's head.

"Good idea. Sure. Where's your device?" Glass in hand, she stood up.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 12:27:30 PM
Auri blushed then as she rose.

"My bedroom." She paused, knowing that Nikole would likely panic. "But, don't worry about that. It's a place to sleep. Nothing to be awkward about. Right?"

That's what she told herself anyway.

"I'll show you my schematics work on the way..."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 12:32:04 PM
Nikole did panic, but the fact that Aurelia anticipated her feelings regarding where they were going settled her nerves. That was surprising to her. Normally she would have asked to disengage the device and bring it out here, but now Nikole was quietly following her.

"Ah yes. Your design work for CEC?"

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 12:37:28 PM
She nodded. "Yes... I spent a lot of time on the corvettes and kept and framed some of my work. Not art, per se, but I'm proud of them."

Aurelia had them hanging on the hall that led to her bedroom. There were only a few that she had hanging thus far.

"I really loved this work," she shared. "I may never do it again professionally, but I still like to do sketches when I have time..."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 12:42:49 PM
Nikole paused and admired the detailed work of the luxury class Corellia Corvette hanging there. There were even small frames zeroing in on key levels and features on the schematic. She hadn't moved from the spot.

"You're wrong. This is art. Not just anyone can accomplish this." She moved to the next piece hanging. "Do you only sketch starships?"

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 12:45:06 PM
"I do do ground structures too, but space vehicles is my speciality," Auri replied, quietly basking in the compliment and approval. "These are why the acquisition I'm working on is so important to me. I want to make CEC part of WayneTech..."

She smiled at Nikole as the brunette studied her schematics.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 12:49:17 PM
Whistles at that ambition. "That's no small acquisition. They're a viable company, well respected... there would need to be a hefty incentive for them to even consider coming under the WayneTech flag."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 12:53:01 PM
"Well, I'm working on it," Aurelia replied with a smile.

She gestured for Nikole to follow her into her bedroom where her console was located. The room had floor to ceiling windows that looked out on another brilliant view of the city. The large bed faced the view and her computer rested beyond. Aurelia smiled, giving Nikole a moment to take it all in.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 12:58:32 PM
This had to be the best room in the apartment. Not only exquisitely decorated, but it had the best view. She could see the capital building from here. Entranced and no longer afraid of being here, Nikole walked across the floor to gaze outside.

"It's beautiful here ..." she said softly before taking a sip. Brown eyes tried to take everything in but there was so much movement and lights to accomplish such a feat.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 01:03:43 PM
"Thank you," Aurelia said quietly.

Her heart pounded, having Nikole in her bedroom, even on innocent pretenses. She looked like she belonged in the space. Auri watched her admire the view, admiring her.

"The glass is specially made so that it can be turned into one way glass so I can enjoy the view privately," she shared.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 01:06:09 PM
"Ah. I was wondering," she replied casually, the most at ease she had ever been tonight and in the most ironic of places ... Aurelia's bedroom!

"I'm not sure if I could get a lot of work done here. I'd be too distracted by the view ..."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 01:09:13 PM
She nodded.

"I can also make it opaque on this side, so it's akin to a wall. But I don't do it often. I like the view too well. Feeling connected to all of that."

Aurelia came to stand beside Nikole, enjoying the view. Her mind and heart raced, imagining them waking up together to this view. She ducked her head, blushing.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 01:14:03 PM
She listened, sipping her wine casually and honestly forgot all about updating Aurelia's computer for the game.

"I believe I'd feel far too disconnected as well. Privacy is nice but remembering you're part of something far greater is important." She motioned to the view in front of them as Aurelia stood beside her. Not once did Nikole even flinch at having her so near, nor stutter her words as she had been prone to do so far. "Such a view is not only beautiful to behold, but it helps to keep things in perspective. Being enclosed and cut away from this would make you emotionally encumbered, I feel."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 01:24:21 PM
She listened, glimpsing Nikole's personal philosophy and views in the process.

"I'm around people all day for work, but I feel rather alone. This does help. The view, I mean."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 01:41:28 PM
"Being around people all day because you have to isn't the same." She nodded in understanding. "I'm with my sisters and never feel alone because I love and trust them. I feel lost without them."

Turning towards Aurelia, she smiled without hesitation. "And for the first time tonight, I don't feel lost in your presence."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 04:36:33 PM
Aurelia smiled brightly. "I enjoy being with you too."

What she wanted to do was kiss the woman facing her. What Aurelia did instead was reach for her hand and give it a firm squeeze.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 06:26:46 PM
Nikoke squeezed back, her smiling matching Aurelia's. "Thank you for your patience with me. Especially as I worked all of this out ..."

She motioned between them with the wine glass and shook her head. Mainly at herself for panicking. She was still frightened at what this meant, and was still curious how Aurelia was able to feel precisely the same way she did, but at least now she was accepting what was happening. Apparently all she needed to do was calm her ass down and just talk to the woman like a normal being! Aurelia's shorter lifespan was still troubling but as her people believed, denying the bond was sacrilege ... didn't mean she couldn't take things slow either.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 06:47:29 PM
Aurelia smiled. "You're welcome. I'm glad you stayed."

She squeezed her hand again, trying to figure out a question she wanted to ask. Eventually, she just spit it out as-is.

"This is more than just attraction, isn't it? That's why it was more for you to process..."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 06:53:06 PM
"Me too. Truly."

She sipped her wine, gazing into Aurelia's eyes and knew full well something was on the lovely executive's mind. Hopefully it wasn't anything too shocking to revert the cunning linguist back into what her sister affectionately called it 'daft mode'. Only occurred when she was attracted to someone and with Aurelia being her 'one', that daft mode had coupled with panic mode and made everything awkward tonight.

"You are correct," she admitted after a moments thought on how to answer the question. There was still more to it, but Nikole wanted to keep it simple for now. "It seems impossible, but it's true."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 06:59:24 PM
Aurelia nodded, considering that. She knew there had to be -something- going on, given how strongly she felt and how panicky Nikole kept becoming. Reflecting on what that meant for her - for them both - was apt to make her head spin.

She gazed out at the night, holding Nikole's hand. Auri chuckled.

"We'll have to thank Claire. For the introduction."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 07:02:31 PM
Letting Aurelia digest that truth, Nikole went back to sipping her wine and found it peaceful to gaze out upon Coruscant's skyline hand in hand. The chuckle made her curious but she couldn't help joining her when Aurelia explained.

"Perhaps we do ..."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 07:10:15 PM
Aurelia glanced up at her and smiled, getting lost in those expressive brown eyes. Her mind and heart whirled with the idea that this woman was vitally important to her in ways greater than she could fathom yet. Where Nikole had been anxious because of what she knew, culturally, Auri found this thrilling. It was a new adventure, a new challenge to get to know Nikole and integrate their very different lives.

"I'm so glad we met. That you took my call and came to the office, oh world tilter," she said, still smiling.

Auri lifted their hands and kissed the back of Nikole's gently.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 07:19:29 PM
Even though Aurelia was smiling, Nikole could feel that she was working things through and analyzing their encounter from various angles. The smile that brightened her face showed how much she was on board with this, how accepting she was of something she didn't entirely understand yet. It was so perplexing! How a complete stranger could come to embrace such bizarre circumstances, feeling the same emotional tug of emotional desirability and longing, and still be patient enough to accept Nikole's almost dismissive reaction at first.

"World tilter? That's a new one..." she said with a widening grin. "Oh ..."

She glanced down as her hand was pulled upwards and immediately blushed when she felt Aurelia's lips brush against her skin, going dizzy from the contact.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 07:23:29 PM
Aurelia felt similar dazzled by touching her lips to Nikole's hand. She smiled slyly at her.

"I can't imagine how astral other contact will be as intense as these little touches are," she said quietly.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 07:29:58 PM
Feeling the heat rise to her face, there was no doubt that her cheeks had reddened as brightly as a Corellian sunrise. Aurelia's expression would have made her completely lose focus and probably retract her hand, but here she was admiring the sultry woman.

"I ... yeah..." she said, caressing the top of Aurelia's hand with her thumb softly.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 07:34:06 PM
Aurelia smiled. "I look forward to finding out..."

She gazed at her, the gentle touch of Nikole's thumb making her hand tingle.

"This feels so..." Auri shook her head. "-Real.-"

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 07:37:54 PM
"That's because it is real," she answered quietly, lost in Aurelia's eyes and feeling the world spin even faster.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 07:41:11 PM
Aurelia smiled at her, breath quickening as she felt desire building hotly.

"If I said I wanted to kiss you, would that make you bolt on me?" she asked, both curious and teasing.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 07:44:38 PM
She laughed and rolled her eyes up towards the ceiling. "That's an honest question."

Squeezing Aurelia's hand, she focused on Aurelia's teasingly beautiful blue eyes and shrugged. "Technically, you did ask."

Her heart hammered, feeling Aurelia's desire as keenly as her own. "And I technically didn't bolt yet ..."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 07:48:30 PM
That laugh reverberated up and down her spine, making Aurelia shiver pleasantly.

"Well, that is good to know..."

She whispered her words and leaned close, brushing their lips together. Auri squeezed her hand, nearly relying on her touch for balance as the force of what was happening between them amplified through the kiss.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 07:56:58 PM
"Yeah?" she whispered, knowing what was coming.

Nikole braced herself, not knowing what to expect when their lips met. In fact, she was so enthralled and scared by what was happening that she couldn't even close her eyes. Their lips barely brushed together and Nikole felt her breath vanish immediately. She responded, pressing their lips firmly together as if Aurelia could provide her life sustaining air. This woman was her life now now. There was no further doubt in accepting this as truth.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 08:01:19 PM
Feeling Nikole actively kiss her back made her body thrum from head to toe. She moaned and leaned into the kiss, savoring every second.

She pulled back to stare at her, wide eyed. "You..."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 08:06:18 PM
Mouth agape and actively panting, brown eyes gazed wildly upon her ...

Mate. She's my mate. She's mine. Gods.

But those thoughts remained hidden and closeted away for now. Aurelia couldn't possibly understand and smiled instead.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 08:10:32 PM
"It's -you-..." Auri whispered.

She was wide eyed and hyper focused, memorizing her features. Aurelia felt like she had found her soulmate and that had stunned her silly. She kissed her again, needing that physical connection.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 08:14:21 PM
" ... me?" she asked puzzled.

Aurelia had mentioned that Nikole had looked familiar. Perhaps she remembered where their paths had crossed briefly in the past? She wouldn't have an answer, at least not verbally, as they were kissing once again. The kiss had spurred something within Aurelia. She could feel it.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 08:19:29 PM
This kiss was deeper, more passionate. Aurelia was completely in the moment, enthralled by what it was like to kiss Nikole, to feel such intense desire.

She pulled back again, wrapping both arms around the brunette.

"You're my destiny... my life mate. It's crazy but I know it's true," she panted. Auri stared hard at her. "I've never felt this way for another soul."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 08:24:25 PM
A hard shiver took over as Nikole clutched at Aurelia, her aching soul suddenly quieting as Aurelia accepted what was happening without understanding what just happened.

"It's not crazy at all," she asked, petting her hair softly in confusion. "We are. But how could you know?"

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 08:29:48 PM
-We are.-

The words reverberated in her mind, having that confirmation. It felt wonderful!

"Because my dad instilled a belief in Keir and me about soulmate being out there, seeking us." She smiled. "He always said we'd know because of our Force sensitivity. I -know- it's you."

Aurelia took a deep breath.

"Hello, soul mate."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 08:35:48 PM
"I was right," she exclaimed. "You are Force Sensitive. I was wondering ..."

She cupped Aurelia's cheek and divulged more about herself without going into strict details of her past. "My family believed that finding your soulmate was rare. Almost impossible. But you would know who they were immediately and it would be foolish to deny what you already knew was true in your heart."

Blushing, she looked away shyly. "Partly why I've been so terrible to you. I was never, ever, expecting this. I'm sorry."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 10th, 2015, 08:42:35 PM
Aurelia listened closely, nodding. That all felt true enough to her too.

"Well... it's rare. I understand your being anxious. But it's -beautiful-, knowing."

Then, she realized that Nikole was surprised at her being Force sensitive. Auri squeezed her hand again.

"Both of my parents are Sith. I might have been, had I accepted that path. I chose differently and opted to walk away with the limited training I'd had."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 10th, 2015, 08:46:56 PM
"Very brave of you. To follow your heart and not your parents since it was something that was required of you," she said, impressed. Ironically, Nikole had enlisted to be alongside her mother as one of the Enforcers back on her homeworld. It was her choice because it felt right. Just as her twin had followed in the footsteps of their father as a politician.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 11th, 2015, 09:50:05 AM
"I'm sure my parents wanted a family legacy in the Sith, but their path is one of creation through destruction," Aurelia replied with a shrug. "I want to create with tools or creation. Art. Science. Innovation."

She smiled and looked out at the night. It was strange to share her philosophy with someone besides her brother.

"That's my view anyway."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 11th, 2015, 01:33:47 PM
"And your brother went into a profession to heal other beings," she added with a smile. "Both far removed from any legacy with the Sith. I commend you further for finding your own way in the universe despite the pressure that I'm sure your parents had tried to sway you. That's something to be proud of and admired. Just like the sketches you hang proudly on the wall."

Slowly becomes distant. "But at least you have a connection with your mother despite the differences in philosophies. That's admirable."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 11th, 2015, 06:43:38 PM
"Thank you. Yes, we had a few hurdles in achieving our goals, but here we both are," Auri replied.

And here I am now. With the beautiful Nikole Nystrom, she thought.

"Would... you like to take a look at the upgrades?" she asked, directing them back to neutral ground.

"Pardon?" Bewildered by the shift in topic, it took a moment for Nikole to realize what Aurelia was referring to. "Ah. Right. The game."

Disappointment was briefly seen before shifting back to something more pleasant as she smiled. "I can if you like."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 12th, 2015, 06:39:08 PM
Aurelia smiled at her.

"I just don't want us to forget about it," she said. "I am very much looking forward to being able to learn the game and chat with you while you're away."

It was the truth. Apart from realizing the physician bag would be a great gift for Keir, she hadn't been so excited about something not-work-related in some time! The idea of having regular interaction with Nikole while she was on Corellia made her feel happy. It gave her something to look forward to.

"Can I get you a sundae together while you start the upgrades?" Auri offered.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 12th, 2015, 06:44:52 PM
She nodded in agreement. "When you put it that way, and enticing me with a sundae, how could I say no?"

Spending an hour with Aurelia every day on the net while away was incentive to work on those upgrades!

Motioning towards her device, Nikole smiled. "I presume you need to log in before I go fiddling?"

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 12th, 2015, 06:47:18 PM
Aurelia nodded and sat down at the desk, quickly keying in a lengthy password and providing her quick retinal scan. She offered an almost apologetic smile at Nikole.

"Security. Can't be too careful, right?" she remarked as she slid out of the chair, offering it to her new-found soulmate. "Any particular favorite toppings for said sundae that I should know about?"

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 12th, 2015, 06:55:38 PM
"No. Of course not," she said in awe. Aurelia was going to leave her alone with her computer for an undetermined amount of time. She could spy on pictures, portfolios, documents, and download everything onto her own datapad! The trust that she was giving her was humbling as she sat down.

"Ah, surprise me," she said with a tentative smile.

Not that you can really top this trust you've given me my mate...

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 12th, 2015, 07:10:20 PM
Aurelia smiled back and kissed her temple, knowing full well what she was doing in trusting Nikole like that.

"I shall then. Be right back," she said.

Heart and soul full of the twists and turns of this day, Aurelia went out to the kitchen and prepared them both dishes of ice cream. She went mostly traditional, adding a little Corellian spice to the hot fudge sauce. It wasn't overkill; it would just provide a little bite that made the chocolate that much more tasty! She carried both bowls, spoons inside, with napkins, back to the bedroom.

This beautiful woman in my room, Auri thought, gazing at her in awe.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 12th, 2015, 07:22:49 PM
She watched Aurelia leave the room, having to wait until she was out of eyesight, before she could concentrate on the task at hand. She lightly touched her temple, feeling the ghost of Aurelia's lips and smiled like a foolish teenage girl. Those days had long since passed!

"Get to work before she comes back and sees you doing a whole lot of nothing..." she muttered and went to tapping at the keypad, opening up the game. Since she wasn't sure what the log in information was that Aurelia used, she logged in as herself. She went through the latest patch notes, noticing that they were new! Pouring through the them and already plotting on how to upgrade her fleet, she hit next and watched the long countdown of updates that were starting to download.

Oct 12th, 2015, 07:30:59 PM
Aurelia smiled and finally approached, bowls in hand.

"Here we go... ice cream for two..." She passed one to Nikole, then set hers down and dragged over a footstool to sit on beside her. "I suppose it'll be upgrading all night, hm?"

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 12th, 2015, 07:35:41 PM
"Thank you," she said, taking the bowl. Just like dinner, Aurelia had taken care in the presentation of her dishes. She could probably have been a chef in another life.

She took a spoonful of everything, wanting to taste all the flavors mashing together, and found a surprise in the dessert.

"That certainly has some punch to it!" She grinned. "I like it. And, yes. It probably will. When was the last time you even played this?"

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 12th, 2015, 07:40:15 PM
Aurelia waited as Nikole sampled the sundae, and grinned when she tasted the spice in the chocolate.

"Oh, phew. I'm so glad. It's one of those little tricks I picked up along the way..."

Glancing toward the screen that was busy with updates as she ate her sundae, Aurelia tried to remember the last time she'd logged into the game. Was it before moving to Coruscant? Or since then? If it was at least that far back, she had to admit the details were a tad irrelevant since she'd been on Coruscant for nearly two years now.

"It's been a long time. Something I'd intended to do, and then I was consumed with other projects..."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 12th, 2015, 07:45:31 PM
She smiled at Aurelia's concern. It was rather cute that the Corellian was worried Nikole wouldn't like the extra punch in the chocolate sauce. She gobbled up the dessert rather quickly, forgoing manners that she had during dinner because she was so nervous! The ease at which the two of them had found in being around each other and talking had shed away some formalities. The best part is that she wasn't even aware she was doing it!

"Well... it is a game. First thing to be pushed aside when other priorities come about."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 12th, 2015, 07:50:20 PM
Auri blushed. The perfectionist in her felt embarrassed that she'd let something drop, even if it was just a game.

"I'd... tend to sketch. Or, honestly, just fall into a dead sleep after a certain point. I wanted to play. I just never got back around to it," she admitted softly. "I'm glad to have reason to now."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 12th, 2015, 07:59:23 PM
"It's fine!" Nikole could tell Aurelia was genuinely sorry for not going back to the game. And there was no reason for it. As admittedly addicted as the Morellian was in playing it, she knew when it was time to call it a night and get some sleep or actual work done!

"Really." She patted her knee and then set aside her bowl with a smile. "Even if there was no game, I'm sure speaking to you over the 'net would be treat enough."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 12th, 2015, 08:02:22 PM
Aurelia blushed again, knee tingling with that touch.

"I'm glad you feel that way too. I'm glad we can make a point to stay in touch," she said, setting her half-finished sundae aside. "This is... gods! My head just spins!"

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 12th, 2015, 08:07:03 PM
Nikole was astute to realize that their roles had reversed in a sense. She was able to form coherent sentences and now Aurelia was the one blushing and faltering over her words. She did it far better than her though - able to string a coherent thought together without sounding like an inconsiderate ass.

"Mine does too," she said in agreement. "But at least it's back on straight so I can actually talk to you now."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 13th, 2015, 12:17:51 PM
Aurelia smiled at that, considering the fact that she was getting a little tongue-tied and dazed now! She blushed again and tried to recover.

"My schedule, of late, has not allowed for much socialization, let alone dating. Not since taking over for my father," she said quietly. "So, it's amusing to me, in a way, to go from zero to soulmate. Just like that. On the heels of a personal business deal."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 13th, 2015, 02:06:58 PM
Nikole nodded and patted Aurelia's leg gently in understanding. "I stopped looking, or caring, about such things a long time ago. I've not behaved like this before anyone before. I mean, sure, the tongued tied, babbling fool... but not as inconsiderate."

She winced at her behavior. "And there are reasons for that that I'll explain on another night."

With that, she smiled in promise and then gasped, coming to realize what happened tonight.

"I'm uncertain if I should kill them or hug them ..." she muttered, pulling her link out and typing away."I'm now 100% certain my sisters set this night up."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 13th, 2015, 02:17:26 PM
Aurelia chuckled at that.

"I figured that when you showed up alone. Of course, there did turn out to be terrible traffic, but I suspected that Kalyn intended for you to come alone all along." She smiled playfully. "And... I'd have been fine with her coming since you were both invited, but I did really want dinner to be a chance to get to know you, and find out why you were making the world tilt on its axis to me..."

She watched Nikole type, feeling dazzled all over again.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 13th, 2015, 06:26:06 PM
Completely caught in the act, dear sister. You needed time with her and I provided it. But to be honest, there really was traffic. Katja and I would have been so late!

"Yes. You, ah, said that before you wanted to get to know me... " she blushed and read Kalyn's next line.

Are things going well?

She replied a quick 'yes' back and 'tell more later' so her attention could return to the woman that fate had chosen for her. There was so much more to tell her but her and Kalyn needed to have a long chat on the struggles a Morellian and human would have, let alone explaining that Nikole wasn't human!

"Kalyn confessed." She tucked her link away. "Next time she should come though."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 13th, 2015, 06:54:32 PM
Auri smiled. "That'd be nice. Celebratory dinner when you come back with Keir's bag."

She'd thought it was nice of Kalyn that she was going to opt out, regardless, to give them time together. Aurelia suspected that Nikole might've been the silent partner, with Kalyn elbowing her all night, otherwise.

"How many hours does the game have before updates are done?" she asked with a chuckle and nod toward the screen. "Hours and hours, I'm sure..."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 13th, 2015, 07:02:28 PM
"I think that would be nice. You can hopefully meet Katja then too. If the child doesn't find something to distract her before then," she said with a chuckle and glanced at the screen. "Well, yes. Several hours unfortunately."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 13th, 2015, 07:05:02 PM
Meeting this Katja would be interesting. Aurelia pictured her to be five or six years old... if that... gauging by the way Nikole talked. She wasn't used to being around children, really. How would it go? Would she be able to use her natural empathic talent to relate to her?

"Sounds like a plan," she agreed. Then, teasingly, Aurelia added, "And really? Unfortunately? Am I so dull already that you wish my upgrade would hurry up?"

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 13th, 2015, 07:09:28 PM
Her eyes widened as she mistook Aurelia's teasing for actual offense! "No! I swear I'd rather have your company than play."

She turned the chair around to face her, clasping a hand within both of hers. "I'm sorry you thought that."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 13th, 2015, 07:12:35 PM
"Oh, gods!"

Aurelia choked on startled laughter, then gazed deep into the concerned, beautiful brown eyes that stared at her. She shook her head quickly.

"No, no. Oh, I was kidding, Nikole. I swear! Sorry... I guess we have to learn each other's sense of humor, huh?" she said apologetically. "I was just thinking of all the myriad ways we could pass the time, together, while the system goes through its updates..."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 13th, 2015, 07:17:17 PM
She blushed and bit her lip before looking away and feeling such the fool. "Gods ..." she muttered, finding the courage to look into Aurelia's eyes. She saw her patience and kindness - there was no malice at all that she could see.

"Yes, I suppose that's true. We've a lot to learn about ourselves..."

Which was such a loaded statement. As was Aurelia's! That line could have easily been taken as flirty but it flew over the Morellian's head.

She grew curious as to what that brilliant mind had thought up for the two of them. "What ideas did you have?"

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 14th, 2015, 06:06:35 AM
"Well..." Aurelia started with a grin.

But then, she changed tracks because - despite being in her bedroom at present - she wasn't sure that was the best place to start out their relationship anyway.

Right?!

Chuckling to herself, she cleared her throat. "Okay, well... I know you like working on your ship. And playing System Siege. What else gets you going in life?"

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 14th, 2015, 06:47:11 PM
Nikole felt a shiver run down the length of her back as Aurelia grinned and sensually spoke that singular word. She swallowed hard, her body reacting to her natural sensuality and because of the bond that was forming between them causing her mouth to become extremely dry. Licking her lips, she wasn't sure what else were to come from that hanging sentence! Especially since they were within Aurelia's bedroom.

The sudden shift in her voice and totally unexpected question that came made if difficult for the Morellian to switch gears. "Ah .. pardon?"

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 14th, 2015, 07:13:05 PM
Aurelia blushed then, her gaze turning more sly once more. Clearly, she'd ruffled Nikole's feathers with the tone of her voice and that was both arousing and adorable. It made her throw caution to the wind.

"Tell me what you were thinking just now... and I'll tell you the myriad of ways I thought we could pass the time together while the game updates," she said knowingly.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 14th, 2015, 07:25:52 PM
Eyes widened and she leaned back in the reclining chair as shock and arousal overtook her. She couldn't find her voice quick enough, so mesmerized by Aurelia's features and charmed by her voice. The woman could tell her to do anything right now and Nikole would do whatever it took to please her.

"I uh," she began, eyes unblinking as she continued to gaze at her. "I was thinking that I ... that I, well I wasn't really thinking."

She blushed and sinks into the chair. "You ... I was admiring you ..."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 14th, 2015, 07:30:08 PM
Aurelia flushed with pleasure, a pleased smile on her lips.

"I'm happy that my appearance is pleasing to you, soulmate..." she replied with a bit of amusement in her tone. "I've been enjoying admiring you too. You're stunning."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 14th, 2015, 07:36:15 PM
Her cheeks were burning hotly as hotly as the twin suns on Tatooine in response to Aurelia's smile that brightened her face. They were definitely feeding off of one another subtly, but the cues were all there.

"No," she shook her head. "I'm no where in your league. You captivated me from the moment we met ..."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 14th, 2015, 07:46:23 PM
Aurelia smiled, recalling their first interaction in her office.

"My harried young executive look was captivating, hm?" she asked with a slight chuckle. "Well, so was your smuggler-who-doesn't-care that she's off to meet a harried executive look. And your dressed up look isn't bad either."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 14th, 2015, 07:51:36 PM
"T-t-thank y-y-you..." she forced out, smiling shyly. It was all she could get out. Aurelia's charm was making her feeling exactly like the Corellian had described several times - utterly dizzy and feeling as if Coruscant had titled on its axis.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 14th, 2015, 07:54:43 PM
Aurelia tried to take a deep breath, but it was more a hitching breath as she smiled back.

This is so crazy... we only met... and this is so intense!

But, in spite of that, Aurelia didn't want it to stop. She waggled a brow at Nikole, dropping her voice to a sultry whisper. "Honestly, there are a great many things we could talk about, or things we could go do to pass the time. However, kissing you again and again is all I seem to come back to..."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 14th, 2015, 08:04:25 PM
Her entire body shuddered and leaned closer to the hypnotic voice that was her mate. She couldn't help it at all. Aurelia's words held power over her as she took in a shaky breath. She admired the perfect sculpt of Aurelia's arch brow, that enticing smile, how her breath hit her cheek that caused another ripple of longing to reverberate from within her soul.

"I ... I would ..." She gave up on trying to complete here sentence. This was a moment where action was far more beneficial to get her point across then trying to stumble over barely spoken words! She quickly leaned forward before Aurelia could say or do anything and captured her lips in a heated kiss.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 15th, 2015, 06:44:55 AM
Aurelia moaned hotly, kissing back. She pulled them both up to a standing position, needing to be closer than both being seated allowed!

Ah gods above... her kiss!

Wrapping her arms firmly around Nikole, she kissed her back like the brunette was her sustenance, leaning against her.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 15th, 2015, 01:32:32 PM
Her brain shut off and instincts guided her, easily following Aurelia's lead. She pulled the Corellian flushed against her as the kiss escalated quickly.

Gods I need her... she thought, growling softly into the kiss.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 15th, 2015, 04:59:38 PM
Aurelia groaned with pleasure as desire spiked. With what little sense she had left, she mused that this felt so completely natural with Nikole. It felt -astral-.

She broke the kiss, panting wildly as they pressed together.

"This is incredible already..." Auri breathed. "Kiss me again..."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 15th, 2015, 07:22:30 PM
Wild eyes honed in on Aurelia's and almost looked disappointed and irritated that the kiss hand ended. That subsided with the heated pressure of her mate pressed against her body.

"Then why did you stop?" she growled out and kissed her passionately.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 15th, 2015, 07:26:04 PM
Auri grinned. "So I could tell you that you're a damned good kisser."

Hands wandered up and down her back, over the curve of her bottom as she stared up into lusty brown eyes. Aurelia realized her blues had to look exactly the same, given how she felt.

She whispered, barely audibly. "I want more..."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 15th, 2015, 07:39:52 PM
Aurelia's hand seared her skin wherever she touched. It mattered little that clothes were in the way. She felt everything. Then their lips had parted again. Nikole's eyes were wild and untamed and staring into blue ones just as crazed. The bond flared between them and in that moment she accepted who this woman was to her fully. There was no hesitation at all. The fears she clung to would be dealt with another night. Right now she needed Aurelia.

Nostrils flared as she took the Corellian's chin within her hand. "I want you. Forever."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 15th, 2015, 07:42:44 PM
Forever is a very long time, Aurelia thought, and smiled at the idea of it.

She reeled, gazing into her wild eyes. Auri offered a slow nod of agreement. The normally articulate businesswoman found herself nearly tongue-tied, hence the non-verbal acknowledgement.

"Yes... I... you... forever," she stammered.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 15th, 2015, 07:49:27 PM
She exhaled softly at the acknowledgement, knowing that the bond was cemented between them for the rest of Nikole's life. It would break her heart when Aurelia was no longer a part of her continued existence, but she would forever live on in her heart. It had to be enough.

"Then you are mine ..." she proclaimed. Fingers gripped the fabric of her dress, digging into her flesh to keep them pressed together.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 15th, 2015, 07:54:25 PM
Aurelia had no idea the seriousness or degree of what she'd just agreed to! She was simply enthralled with this woman who'd just come into her life, who challenged her and seemed to fit so perfectly!

"Yes!" she agreed, clinging to her.

Aurelia kissed Nikole hotly, body and soul aching for her. It was thrilling and her desire felt more pronounced than she'd ever known it.

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 15th, 2015, 08:00:41 PM
Now the connection was secured, fixed for life and no other being in the universe could break the oath that was created with so few words. The desire that she felt for Aurelia multiplied a hundred times over, feeling her mate's reciprocating that intense need just as hotly. Every fiber of her being cried out for Aurelia to touch her, to lay claim to her body as profoundly as her soul had already given.

She moaned into the kiss and with one swift motion, bent her knees and scooped Aurelia into her arms with one goal in mind - to make it to the bed.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 16th, 2015, 06:30:33 AM
Later...

Aurelia lay on her back, staring up at the ceiling with a broad smile on her lips. Her breathing had begun to settle some as she tilted her head toward Nikole.

"You're amazing... I didn't know it could be like this..." she confessed, a blush creeping on her cheeks. "You're... you... damn."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 16th, 2015, 07:04:41 PM
Nikole was snuggled up against her and placing light kisses along a bare shoulder as Aurelia recovered from their third go. The Morellian's appetite was insatiable now that the bond became permanent. Her hand slid teasingly down the length of Aurelia's stomach and caught her hand. She laced their fingers together and smiled against her lover's neck.

"This is how it always should be ... and always will be ..."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 16th, 2015, 07:30:19 PM
Aurelia's body twitched with that promise. She smiled and squeezed her hand.

"Sounds incredible..." Auri whispered.

She closed her eyes, taking in the sensation of Nikole's warm body pressed against her, her scent, the sound of her breathing. The sensory experience was profound for her, given her tendency to feel so strongly. The young executive sighed with pleasure.

"I've hardly dated since taking on this position," she said quietly. "I'd been too busy. So, I just want you to know this isn't like me to sleep with someone the first day I've met them... Then again, I suppose its not every day one meets their soul mate..."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 16th, 2015, 07:45:46 PM
Lips trailed up along her neck, feeling how Aurelia and her were already so entwined because she could sense that her mate was relishing in the new awareness that the Force allowed her. Emotions, no matter how small and insignificant, would be far more easier to feel and interpret than ever before. There was also the added perk of feeling each others pleasure through the bond which heightened the experience immensely.

She smiled and nipped at an earlobe as Aurelia sighed. She heard it in her voice, Aurelia's need to explain everything because she was afraid that Nikole would have the wrong impression about her.

"Even if you had, that's in the past, darling." Nikole shifted so that her face was hovering over Aurelia's. "What matters is now. With us."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 16th, 2015, 07:55:00 PM
Aurelia smiled up at her and nodded gently. "Thank you."

Of course, the more coherent she became, the more this led the Corellian to think. What was this now like? How did one go about dating their soul mate? Or was there a different level of commitment and getting to know each other? Aurelia thought of the stories she'd been raised on about her parents' relationship and how they had fallen in love. They'd definitely seen themselves as soulmates in their time together, and had been very quick to marry. Was that what would happen for her now? What did this mean for their lives?

She refocused on the brown eyes and the beautiful face that hovered over hers. Auri smiled. "Us. I do like the sound of that too."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 16th, 2015, 08:15:19 PM
"And it confuses you. What it all means," she said with an understanding smile. "I feel the same. And you know how scared I was that I almost denied us."

Brown eyes softened as Nikole became contemplative. There was still so much left unsaid between them, and they were still strangers to one another! They knew next to nothing about each other but the impact of the bond had them respond physically to one another. It was just its nature and nothing malicious at all. The desire was mutual.

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 16th, 2015, 08:17:52 PM
Aurelia lifted a brow, smiling shyly at her feelings being discerned so easily.

"Yes... so does this mean you're Force sensitive too?" she asked. "That you can pick up on my emotions and thoughts so easily?"

It was the perfect example of how little they knew about each other!

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 16th, 2015, 08:25:09 PM
Her smile faded and was replaced with a look of anguish and conflict. She didn't know how to answer that question without giving everything away, but she surely couldn't lie to the one she was bonded to.

"I am not." Aurelia was expecting an answer, and Nikole had to give it. To deny a response would begin their journey together on an awkwardness that they may not recover from. "I'm just ... sensitive to your needs and feelings."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 16th, 2015, 08:33:52 PM
Auri smirked, looking amused. "So is Jamit, but he's paid to and I'd say you caught on to my needs and feelings much quicker."

She left it at that, having seen enough despite her young age to know there was more mysticism to life than just the Force. Aurelia suspected that Nikole was leaving a few details about her sensitivity out of the conversation, but - for now - she could accept that. They had so much to learn about each other!

"Well, speaking of being sensitive... don't worry about whatever is troubling you right now," she said softly. "We have lots of time to learn everything. It doesn't all need to be tonight."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 16th, 2015, 08:42:11 PM
Nikole blushed with that observation and wasn't entirely sure how she should respond to that. But then Aurelia took care of her concerns easily enough and Nikole smiled in appreciation.

"You're right. It doesn't. We do have enough time to learn everywhere there is about one another. It just ... Well, the timing is piss poor. With my leaving tomorrow ..." Her head fell forehead to lean against Aurelia's chest with a despondent sigh. "The next couple of weeks will be torture without you."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 16th, 2015, 08:47:38 PM
She stroked her hair, smiling only because it felt so good and natural to be so intimate with each other's bodies! That most definitely differed from her previous experiences and Auri loved that.

"I hope the time flies," she said in agreement. "I think the original schedule of nightly communication, local time, will need to be amended..."

Aurelia laughed softly at herself, slipping into such formal business language out of habit.

"...Er... what I mean is that we should plan to talk more. As often as we can manage. Yes?"

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 16th, 2015, 08:51:46 PM
Nikole's body shook with laughter, finding Aurelia's shift into executive mode rather adorable. She looked up at her with a smile before arms wrapped around her lover's slender waist.

"Are you sure we don't need to draw up a contract to negotiate ideal time slots and the manner in which we communicate?" she teased. "But I agree we need more contact than an hour a day."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 17th, 2015, 02:19:58 PM
"Don't give me the possibility. That's how I operate," Auri admitted with an embarrassed chuckle.

She sighed softly, gazing into her eyes, seeing such affection there. It was startlingly beautiful, familiar and new, Aurelia thought. She cupped her cheek in her hand, smiling.

"Be safe, but be as swift to come back from Corellia as you can..."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 17th, 2015, 02:54:48 PM
These little throw away lines did give Nikole a glimpse into the woman that was her intended. A career woman driven by schedules and control and now the Morellian had completing turned her world inside out. The abating fear allowed her to understand that insight as she leaned into Aurelia's touch.

"I'm always safe," she affirmed before smiling. "It's everyone else in the galaxy that cause problems."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 17th, 2015, 02:57:16 PM
Aurelia smiled back and wrinkled her nose in amusement at that truth. "At least we'll be in contact throughout."

She fell silent again, just happily gazing at her lover. There were so many questions to ask about her, about the future, and yet, the normally talkative Auri preferred to let them wait. She was enjoying this intimacy far too much!

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 17th, 2015, 03:02:56 PM
"I'll be sure to send you constant updates outside of hyperspace," she promised, waiting for a response. When none came, it didn't bother Nikole at all. She merely smiled down at Aurelia before kissing the palm that was gently caressing her cheek. She was perfectly at ease with their silence because it was Aurelia's presence that soothed the Morellian's soul.

Oct 17th, 2015, 05:35:39 PM
A few days later...

"This is ridiculous."

It was the tenth time Aurelia had said that, not that Jamit was counting, as they whisked across the district from an on-site meeting back to headquarters. Traffic was impossible, and to make matters worse, her 'link was failing to sync and transfer her notes back to her private server. Such technological failures drove her crazy since those were what her father had been so good at pioneering. It was largely what WayneTech was known for!

"I know," Jamit said apologetically. "I'm sure it will sync soon."

She rolled her eyes and stuffed the device back in her bag. "Ridiculous."

Jamit eyed her, but held his tongue. Aurelia had never been one to appreciate prying into her personal business, so he wasn't about to start now, even if he thought she needed someone to talk to. He looked at his own datapad, then gave her another covert glance as the boss pulled out her 'link again to check it. She sighed heavily and put it away.

"Why the hell won't my transmission go through?!" ranted Nikole as she tried to reconfigure the settings for the fourth time. "Are you sure we're out of range of that damn solar flare, Katja?"

"Calm your tits and YES, Big sis. Geesh. Nothing's wrong with communications. It's probably something on her side causing the issue," grumbled the young Morellian. She had to listen to Nikole's complaining for over an hour, obsessed with talking to her new squeeze. It wasn't that she didn't understand where the desire was stemming from, but Katja had done everything asked of her to try and alleviate the anxiety. They even scheduled certain drop points out of hyperspace to accommodate the transmissions.

Sighing in resignation, Nikole glanced at the co-pilot's seat where her sister was sitting. "I'm sorry. You're right."

"All good," she said and leaned over to pat her shoulder. "I get the crazies with the bond stuff, but you do need to chill. You'll talk to her soon. 'kay?"

Leave it to Nikole finding her mate that piqued Katja's curiosity. The young woman was intrigued that her hard ass sister found a soulmate and it brought them closer, talking mostly about her new found love, but that bridged into other topics. Including how Katja met a handsome bounty hunter while partying around Coruscant. "Alright. I'll give it a few more minutes before we have to jump into hyperspace. We need to remain on schedule."

Back at the WayneTech building, Aurelia sighed with relief that her desk console was operating properly even if her comlink had gone haywire. Piling her things on one corner of the desk, she gave a thankful nod to Jamit who set a caf and a water in front of her before he left.

"Gods, let me connect this way until I can get home. I hope I didn't miss her altogether this time!" Aurelia whined, waiting and glaring at the display.

She downed the caf, then sipped the water, waiting.

She glanced at the chrono and sighed. "Damn. Alright, Katja ... we're going to have to ..."

But the console lit up suddenly with an incoming transmission. The source, Coruscant.

"You should totally see your face right now. It's probably hurting from smiling," chuckled Katja.

She blushed at that and slapped her arm. "Quiet you."

"Can I meet her?" she asked, accepting the call.

"No!"

"Why not?!"

The connection was made and Aurelia was greeted by the two sisters bickering back and forth.

"Because I rather you meet her in person."

"The 'net is pretty damn close to being in person ya know..."

Aurelia chuckled and cleared her throat.

"Did I comm at a bad time, Nystrom sisters?" she asked, her tone light and teasing. Auri, too, was grinning from ear to ear as she listened in. "Should I try again later after this dreadful delay?"

"Aurelia!" Nikole said in a panic because Katja was going to jump on this in a hurry.

Katja planned this because she accepted the call! "Hello Aurelia! I'm Katja and it is sooooo nice to meet'cha! And this is totally awesome because we were just about to leave."

Nikole buried herself behind her hands, hoping that this didn't get to embarrassing.

Aurelia's first thought was, How can Katja be that old?

She recovered from that perplexity, at least, momentarily, and scooted closer to the camera and screen. "Well, hello... Katja! Nice to meet you too. Is... Nikole there? Available. I mean, available. Of course, she's there."

"Hmm, I dunno. I mean, she's sitting here next to me with hands covering her face. Maybe I need to take a message?"

"KATJA?!"

She ends up laughing, doubling over.

Aurelia laughed and shook her head. She could well imagine that Nikole was mortified by this!

"Well... tell her that I'm sorry for the technology backfire this evening. My comlink's turned against me," she lamented, grinning because she knew Nikole could hear all of this. "I'll get it fixed and make sure to be awake for the next check-in."

She paused a beat, then spoke again.

"You will let her know, right?"

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 17th, 2015, 08:26:34 PM
"Will do. I ..."

"Wait Aurelia!" Nikole pressed against Katja's side so both of them could be seen on the Corellian's end.

"See? She knows!" she cackled and got up. "I'll leave you two be. Next time though, I get to actually talk to my sister's mate. Later."

Out of view, she leaned down and kissed her sister on the cheek. "She's hot. Good going on the primal connection."

And with that, Nikole's eyes widened and flushed bright red, stunned silent.

Aurelia may not have been able to see the exchange, but she could definitely hear them. She smiled wider, hearing Katja's approval but the "primal connection" comment was nearly as puzzling as the blonde sister's age. The Corellian filed this under another detail to ask about, later.

For the moment, she took another drink of water and waited for Nikole to finally join her on the link.

"Nikole...? Are you still there?" she asked.

Oct 17th, 2015, 08:36:56 PM
Nikole truly hoped that Aurelia hadn't overheard that. So either she didn't or her mate was being kind enough to not ask any questions right now.

"Y-y-yes! I'm here!" she forced herself into view and smiled. "Sorry about that. My sister's been harping on me since we left Coruscant to meet you."

Aurelia leaned in and smiled, reaching out as if she could trace Nikole's features with her fingertip. Even with the connection, she could see that Katja had made Nikole blush, and Auri thought that was adorable.

Chuckling, she said, "Well, I hope it was all she imagined by 'Net. Katja definitely seems to have an abundance of enthusiasm..."

And age to her credit. I thought she was a child. What's this about?

But, she didn't ask.

She smiled and envisioned Aurelia touching her as if she were physically here, knowing that it would calm her nerves after Katja's teasing. Nikole missed Aurelia so much and it barely had been a week. The distance was becoming excruciating, as her panicked reaction had indicated. It were to only get worse too but the daily communications helped abate it for a considerable time. Katja and Kalyn helped distract her with either a sparring match in the cargo hold or a healthy debate on the latest book the twin sisters were reading.

"Katja has more than you could probably imagine," she said with a nervous grin. "I'm certain it was a good start, but expect her to be at the beginning of every call now that she's met you."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 17th, 2015, 08:56:34 PM
"I'll be sure to keep my clothes on at the start of each call then," Aurelia replied with a knowing wink.

She was kidding because she wouldn't do that to Nikole, especially when there was a chance that her sisters could spot her! But, it was a fair reply with the warning that Katja would want to check in now too.

"How are you, Nikole? I'm so sorry about the tech failure. It was driving me crazy."

"I uh ... uh ... Right. Good. Good idea," she agreed, despite the image it provoked. She blinked away the budding desire and smiled in understanding. "It was driving me crazy too. I yearn to see you again as soon as we end our calls. I'm doing much better now ..."

Oct 17th, 2015, 09:07:47 PM
Aurelia smiled, happy to hear that she felt the same... even if she felt bad that Nikole would've been as anxious as she had been before!

"I can't wait to see you again, in person. Touch you. Kiss you." She flushed, eyes shining. "I've been distracted all day, waiting to talk to you now."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 17th, 2015, 09:13:39 PM
Her eyes darkened with promise. "I want those things too."

It was her turn to reach out at the projected image of her mate with a longing that couldn't be tamed now. "My sisters try to distract me, but you are all that I can think of."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 18th, 2015, 04:35:50 PM
Aurelia smiled at that, trying to lean into Nikole's touch. She sighed softly when that was, of course, impossible.

"You'll reach Corellia soon, thank the Force. I'll make sure Vega knows to supply you with anything you need for the return trip. For you three or your ship," she said. "So you can have a quick turnaround."

And I must clear time to make sure I can meet you when you land here, she thought.

Aurelia had never felt so obsessive about someone she dated; if anything, she'd been woefully indifferent! This was a strange behavior pattern to realize in herself, wanting to be so involved emotionally and be so physically present.

She pulled her hand back and folded it with the other upon the console, but Nikole remained leaning forward to be as close to Aurelia as she could, or at least tricking herself that she was far closer than the light years between them.

"I'm not entirely sure it will be that quick of a turn around. I did promise Katja a day on Corellia when we accepted your offer. She's excited to be going home, but I promise it won't cut into your timetable," she said. As much as the desired burned to see Aurelia again, she couldn't break a promise to her sister. All of them were going to make the trip back to Corellia special and that was before Nikole found out who Aurelia was to her!

Aurelia paused, then nodded.

"I understand. If you haven't been back in awhile, you should have some time on land," she said. "The business with Vega will still stand. Anything you need, baby."

I can't act that crazy obsessed, needing her to come back pronto. It'll be okay. Why do I miss her so much?

"Thank you for understanding and I'm sorry for the delay," she said with resignation, but her despondent face brightened at the term of endearment.

"Baby?" she asked curiously. "I think I can enjoy hearing that."

"I... ah! It came out, aloud, didn't it." She grinned. "You like it?"

Auri chuckled and raked a hand through her hair. Her gaze momentarily slipped down to note the chrono's time and looked back at Nikole. She recalled Katja saying they were just about to jump.

"I... you have to go. Right? I should be able to connect at my place with no problem for tonight's game," Aurelia said, not wanting to make things awkward for Nikole with her sisters.

She grinned back and admired how the Corellian recovered from her little slip.

"I love it, actually. Though now I'll need to think of something perfect for you," she promised.

Her expression turned apologetic before nodding. "Aye, we do if we want to stay on schedule. That's important now ..."

Her tone was sharp because she was fighting back the onslaught of emotions that were threatening to burst out uncontrollably!

"I understand. Deadlines, timelines... my world," Auri said.

She felt dismayed that they really did need to end the connection that had started late to begin with. Aurelia reached out to virtually touch her cheek again, memorizing the beautiful face that stared at her.

"Just a few hours. That's what we keep saying. So, just a few hours and I'll see you tonight, baby," she said tenderly.

Smiling and leaning against a hand she had to imagine was touching her, she sighed. "Just a few hours, darling ..."

She didn't even realize what she had just said, too wrapped up in memorizing Aurelia's voice to soothe her longing until they were able to talk once again.

Oct 18th, 2015, 07:34:11 PM
Aurelia smiled so hard it hurt! The endearing term resonated with her heart and soul.

"Darling it is, baby," she said, touched. "And yes... just a few hours. Imagine me picking up take-out tonight and plowing through work until I can see you again."

Nikole Nystrom
Oct 18th, 2015, 07:41:19 PM
Her head canted to the side like a confused pup. She wasn't entirely sure what had made Aurelia completely fawn over her with that dazzling smile. Then she realized that she bequeathed her soulmate a term of endearment without realizing it. Darling had rolled off her tongue with such natural ease!

"I ... I can do that." Her mouth twitched with the promise of a smile. "I'll be reading. Trying not to think of you. But Kalyn will keep me in line until we speak again."

Aurelia Wayne
Oct 18th, 2015, 07:44:23 PM
Auri grinned, able to picture that just from what little she'd seen of Kalyn.

"Make sure she does. And tell her I said hello." She chuckled. "Alright, Nikole. I'll see you in a few hours. Be safe with the next jump."

She said it every time, telling Nikole to be safe, though she had faith that the Nystrom girls were exacting with their coordinates. Aurelia couldn't help but feel anxious though, with her so far away.

"I promise I will. She's looking forward to seeing you in person again too," she said in a hurry, only because she knew Kalyn were to tease her once they were all together again.

"And don't work too hard. Take breaks when you can, darling, and I'll talk to you soon." It was what she normally said as well, knowing that Aurelia wouldn't heed her advice, but at least there was the added 'darling' to their conversation to make it personal.

"And I'll be fine," she added as if knowing what Aurelia was thinking despite the immense distance between them. "Promise."

"YO NIKOLE?! KALYN SAYS WE GOTTA JUMP!"

"And there you have it," she said with an exhausted sigh. "Until later, Aurelia."
