It's been bandied about for a day and a half or so now, but I figured the trigger needed to be pulled on a Skyrim Mod thread, so here it is! A thread for us to share our mods, and mod finds :)

Currently I have quite a few mods running, but I will share some of my favorite so far.

Environmental:

Supreme Storms (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27022/?) - this amazing bit of nature adds some crazy intense blizzards and rainstorms to your game. The blizzards are legitimately disorienting, and the rainstorms (only been able to get the monsoon once so far) is simply wonderful and reminds me of the fifteen minutes afternoon monsoons we get here in Alabama. I've even seen forked lightning come down behind an abandoned fort; was so amazing.

Immersive Thunder (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1702/?) - A wonderful accompaniment to the storms mod linked directly above.

Real Clouds (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/39450/?) - Love it. It just helps to add to the immersion, hands down. You'd not expect something so simple and seemingly 'whatever' to be so crucial, and yet it is. This will make your experience in Skyrim all the better.

Supreme and Volumetric Fog (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24460/?) - Holy foggy environments, batman! Ok yeah that was a dumb thing to say, but holy crappo this mod delivers. I love it so much, and it really adds to the immersion.

Cities, Towns, Villages, Hamlets

ImpeREAL Unique Cities - Falkreath (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31450/?) - I got this one because I liked the thought of Flakreath being more of the old city than was depicted. Adds more buildings, and stone texturing along with guard towers to give Falkreath more of a solid feel.

Complete Solitude (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36061/?) - Adds more depth to Solitude, including a brewery and another inn, and other NPC's plus it fleshes out what a large city should look like. I enjoy it, and have found it to be one of the better Solitude mods.

Superior Rorikstead (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51311/?) - Adds a bit more of a distinctive look and feel to Rorikstead. The main selling point for me was the fact that Frostfruit in was redone and looks nothing like the other inns/taverns. I like the variety it offers, and the author did a great job in showcasing the diversity.

Abodes

Hunter's Treehouse (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15317/?) - a good small place to lay your head; comes with a single weapon's rack, a few chests, a bed, a lockbox, and other storage. I like it because it's up high and allows for a gorgeous view.

Ranger Ridge (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/9904/?) - I love this player home, plain and simple. I've not yet completed the quest to attain it, but frankly, I'm taking it as things progress. The trip over the river that is on the other side of the road from Honningbrew is already worth it.

Armor

Nordic Hunter (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18056/?) - I use this right now; I love the little bits and bobs and the attention to detail that was given to this mod.

Nordic Ranger (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25113/?) - I fell in love with this mod the moment I saw it. I have already crafted it, but I don't have plans to equip it until I hit about level 20 or so. I want the transition to be fluid and to make sense for Ashira.

There are so many more, but I am going to leave it at that. I have other mods that I've installed, like more realistic water, trees in Whiterun, a whole new Dawnstar, and skooma and alcohol effects modifiers along with a plethora of backpacks and saddles, but I wanted to at least get a small list started that others can add to :)

So tell us what you've found and what you play with!!

What I'm currently running..

Lightweight potions and poisons (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=7520) - drops their weight from 0.5 to 0.1. I carry a lot of potions and poisons with me at all times, so this is invaluable.

Bandolier - Bags and Pouches (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=66200826) - craftable extra carrying space that you can wear on top of your armor.

Sounds of Skyrim - The Wilds (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=13231)
Sounds of Skyrim - The Dungeons (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=9106)
Sounds of Skyrim - Civilisation (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=81064931)
^ All of the above at more ambient sounds into the game. I think there's more in this series, but these are the ones I have installed.

Pure Waters (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=20709) - better looking water textures.

Unlimited Bookshelves (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=13661) - lots more space for storing books!

Thieves Guild Mission Door (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=115848416) - direct door from the Riften Graveyard to the Ragged Flaggon pub / Thieves Guild HQ (just cuts out a bit of running time if you're doing a lot of fencing or missions for the guild.)

I got a lot of mods... but let's see.

STEAM MODS

Lovely Hairstyles CE (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=221168621) - Add some hairstyles that fit the game's style. I did have Apachii's Hair mod, but those were basically made for the asian doll character enthusiasts. No real short-hair options for male or female, which saddened me.

The Eyes of Beauty (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=20243) - This mod adds a number of different eye colours to the game. Some are patently decorative and jarring, but others are quite breathtaking and add something special to screenshots in the right conditions.

Heavy Armory - New Weapons (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=85291742) - This mod adds different weapon styles to the game, including awesome glaives, halberds, and spears. It adds them to the world at large, so bandits and enemies may charge you with a steel glaive or an iron halberd.

INIGO (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=169196258) - I cannot recommend this mod enough. INIGO adds an essential (cannot be killed) follower to the game, whose name is, obviously, Inigo. A Khajiit with a past he cannot repay, he is custom voiced and literally has thousands of lines of dialogue, ranging from conversation options, to random lines based on the area and quest you are doing. One of the most living companion characters I have ever seen.

Skyforge Shields (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=106095493) and Weapons (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=150158487) - I was somewhat underwhelmed by the presentation of the Skyforge and Eorlund's blacksmith work. For such a famous blacksmith and forge, a unique design would have been awesome. This mod changes that, by putting in unique textures and such for Skyforge items. It's beautiful and awesome!

Isilmeriel's LOTR Weapons (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=7891) - One of the first mods I got for Skyrim that I still have. This mod puts a forge on the path up to High Hrothgar that allows you to forge Narsil, Elendil's sword which broken cut the Ring of Power from Sauron's hand; and Anduril, Narsil Reforged as named by Aragorn; Sting and a version where the design on it glows blue, one handed and two handed versions of the Witch-King's sword, and Sauron's Mace, as well as the bow Legolas receives from the Galadhrim and the daggers he dual wields in combat. Beautifully done and amazingly rendered, they are powerful, but are outclassed later in the game by the more powerful Glass, Ebony, Daedric, and Dragon weapons.

Nexus Mods

360 Walk and Run Plus (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34508/?) - This tiny mod lets your character to walk toward near side of the screen instead of backsteps when weapon is sheathed.
For male and female character.
V2,0 with pseudo-waving cloak.
V2.2 with BBP effect.
V2.3 with BAIN Installer.
V3.0 with 360 Swimming.

I have nine armor mods, two clothing mods, and more weapon mods as well as some graphical mods for water and such. Those I'll add in here later.

Well, during and a bit after my vacation I've been plugging away at original novel-like projects and working, as well as rediscovering that I had Rome II installed on my computer. But now I've played Skyrim again, and remembered that I was going to let y'all know how I found my Assassin's Creed: Skyrim mods, and some awesome other mods:

skyBirds (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23771/?): This mod adds flying, perching, and walking birds to Skyrim. Cardinals to Blue Jays to Geese, these birds wallk honk chirp and sing their way through the wilderness, and will perch on rocks and fences and rooftops and gates. It's awesome!

DreamBurrow's Regal Huntsman Armor (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/39983/?): This is one of a few of DreamBurrow's armor mods that I've tried. An Assassin's Creed style armor, it's light armor but is crafted under Iron and will bring a player close to 200 armor points with everything upgraded by about level eight or so, thus I would recommend it for screenshots or later playing as it's OP as all get out. BUT IT'S GORGEOUS.

Masters of Death - Rise of the Brotherhood (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/9752/?): This is another Assassin's Creed inspired armor, and while it's very powerful, you'll either have to get the version that replaces the default Brotherhood Armor with it, or wait until you have the smithing chops to make it. This is not quite so overpowered as the Regal Huntsman Armor.

Triss Armor Retextured (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/4708/?): A version of Triss's leather get up from the Witcher 2 (I believe) this mod has so many different recipes they made it so you could only see them when you have a particular book in hand. However, the armor is pretty, and it's definitely not overpowered at all.

Beards (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/28363/?): Higher res vanilla and added beard options! For all your manly facial hair needs!

Superior Lore-Friendly Hair (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36510/?): About six to eight new hairstyles in the style of Skyrim itself, not a port of a Sims hairstyle or an anime/manga doll style. All of them are hd-ish.

Mage Equipment Overhaul - Robes (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49110/?): A retexture of the Mages' College robes from Novice to Master; they're longer, and each has designs and coloring enhanced. It also adds new Arch-Mage armor, though I can't remember if it changed anything other than the texture for it.

I have thirteen weapon mods. Holy crap. Not doing those now. No no no nope nope nope nope.

JaySus Swords (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1002/?)

This mod adds a lot of new craftable weapons such as racial swords and a lot of new nordic blades. They look absolutely fantastic.

Faster Cell Respawn

I prefer the respawn mechanic of Bethesdas other games like Fallout and Oblivion. With this mod, I can return to a dungeon/mine/whatever three days later and the enemies and loot has respawned. It was 72 hours in the other games and that's what I use her,e though there are other options such as a single day or a week as opposed to the default 10 days or 30 for a "Cleared" area.

Alchemy Extended (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=9433)

This one increases the availability of alchemical ingredients at vendors - both the type and amount of ingredients is increased.

Humans Drop Human Parts (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11617/?)

Quite simply, guarantees that you'll find 1 x Human Heart, 1 x Human Flesh, 1 x Skull and 1 x Bone Meal on every human you kill. The large amount of hearts and flesh you'll collect allow for some seriously awesome potions!

Vals Crafting Meltdown - Alpha (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/874/?)

This mod allows you to break down armour and weapons, and other items, into raw materials. So if you're a packrat like me who loots everything, but don't really need lots of gold, simply turn all that armour and weapons into steel bars and leather for use in your own crafting endeavours. It also lets you craft arrows - not sur eif that's since been implemented in an un-modded fashion.

Dragon Knowledge Spell (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18480/?"Build Your Own Home[/URL]

The hearthfire DLC has since allowed this feature, but before then this was the mod of choice and still is for me. Gather the required materials and you can build a very elaborate home consisting of a main building with groudnf loor, upstairs, cellar, and secret lair, an outside fishing camp, a small farm, a distillery, an alchemy garden, training area, lookout tower, tannery and forge area. Plus the interior of the main building comes with a choice of decor designs to suit different character archetypes. Lots of fun and looks awesome once completed.

[URL="http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27857/?)

Gives a Lesser Spell which converts two Dragon Souls into a Perk Point. Simple enough. Can be tweaked I believe to alter the number of required souls for a perk point.

Poison Control (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=137677596)

With this mod, Alchemist Perks 1 through 5 now give an additional charge of poison per application, up to 6 charges at maximum rank and Concentrated Poison has been redesigned to increase critical hit chance against poisoned targets by 25% and critical damage done by 50%. These work alongside other critical increase perks.
