It's been bandied about for a day and a half or so now, but I figured the trigger needed to be pulled on a Skyrim Mod thread, so here it is! A thread for us to share our mods, and mod finds :)
Currently I have quite a few mods running, but I will share some of my favorite so far.
Environmental:
Supreme Storms (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27022/?) - this amazing bit of nature adds some crazy intense blizzards and rainstorms to your game. The blizzards are legitimately disorienting, and the rainstorms (only been able to get the monsoon once so far) is simply wonderful and reminds me of the fifteen minutes afternoon monsoons we get here in Alabama. I've even seen forked lightning come down behind an abandoned fort; was so amazing.
Immersive Thunder (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1702/?) - A wonderful accompaniment to the storms mod linked directly above.
Real Clouds (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/39450/?) - Love it. It just helps to add to the immersion, hands down. You'd not expect something so simple and seemingly 'whatever' to be so crucial, and yet it is. This will make your experience in Skyrim all the better.
Supreme and Volumetric Fog (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24460/?) - Holy foggy environments, batman! Ok yeah that was a dumb thing to say, but holy crappo this mod delivers. I love it so much, and it really adds to the immersion.
Cities, Towns, Villages, Hamlets
ImpeREAL Unique Cities - Falkreath (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31450/?) - I got this one because I liked the thought of Flakreath being more of the old city than was depicted. Adds more buildings, and stone texturing along with guard towers to give Falkreath more of a solid feel.
Complete Solitude (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36061/?) - Adds more depth to Solitude, including a brewery and another inn, and other NPC's plus it fleshes out what a large city should look like. I enjoy it, and have found it to be one of the better Solitude mods.
Superior Rorikstead (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51311/?) - Adds a bit more of a distinctive look and feel to Rorikstead. The main selling point for me was the fact that Frostfruit in was redone and looks nothing like the other inns/taverns. I like the variety it offers, and the author did a great job in showcasing the diversity.
Abodes
Hunter's Treehouse (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15317/?) - a good small place to lay your head; comes with a single weapon's rack, a few chests, a bed, a lockbox, and other storage. I like it because it's up high and allows for a gorgeous view.
Ranger Ridge (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/9904/?) - I love this player home, plain and simple. I've not yet completed the quest to attain it, but frankly, I'm taking it as things progress. The trip over the river that is on the other side of the road from Honningbrew is already worth it.
Armor
Nordic Hunter (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18056/?) - I use this right now; I love the little bits and bobs and the attention to detail that was given to this mod.
Nordic Ranger (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25113/?) - I fell in love with this mod the moment I saw it. I have already crafted it, but I don't have plans to equip it until I hit about level 20 or so. I want the transition to be fluid and to make sense for Ashira.
There are so many more, but I am going to leave it at that. I have other mods that I've installed, like more realistic water, trees in Whiterun, a whole new Dawnstar, and skooma and alcohol effects modifiers along with a plethora of backpacks and saddles, but I wanted to at least get a small list started that others can add to :)
So tell us what you've found and what you play with!!
