Ok so I have been busy with the music thing but feel like doing something here. need a break of sorts. Anyway the idea is terrorists have captured a space liner en-route for the capital and holding it for some reason I have yet to work out totally. Commodore Nomarr will be commanding the small group which will support Colonel Connors and the 1st marines as they retake the liner (if he is up for it, if not someone will.). Anyone who would like to join feel free. be it terrorist pirate or rebel bad ass. all are welcome.

I might be able to provide a reason for the terrorists to capture and hold the liner - I've got a character who is an Alliance Senator... but up until the Treaty he was an Imperial General commanding a legion of Stormtroopers in the Gordian Reach. He became Senator after most of the other military and political leaders in the Sector "mysteriously disappeared", and he swore the loyalty of himself and his men to the Alliance. Maybe the terrorists are after him because of something he did specifically (something perceived as "war crimes"), or maybe the terrorists are just pissed off about the Alliance "consorting with the enemy" and he's just an extremely convenient example of that. Maybe a combination of the two.

Either way, I'd be happy to provide you with some action from inside the liner.

I'd be willing to get involved in any way needed. If you want a terrorist I can produce one, or if you'd like someone playing negotiation alliance side, I can have Taataani do that

Keep in mind that, to keep things interesting, I will probably not bring all of my task group unless these are some well-connected terrorists. I doubt they would have anything that could scratch a Dauntless, so it'll be chillin in the back for most of the time not doing much.

As for the fleet element The Salvation will be escorted by a couple gunships. the remainder of the group will not be needed. It is more for show than anything. Taataani is welcome if she wants to be a negotiator. or If you want you can whip up a terrorist leader. or both up to you. Jace I like your idea about it being more targeted at a single person then a general for credit thing. Up to you if you want your guy to be the one. I have started working on the opening post. Just a set up thing. Let me know if you want to make a terrorist leader.

A couple points to make here. 1 being that the wiki for Nomarr states that he has 2 cc9600 frigates in his taskgroup, but the wiki for Task Force 11 states that he has an assualt frigate II. The TF 11 page is more recent so I'll go fix the Nomarr page. This leads to the second point, which is that it would be a cool trademark style choice of TF 11 to use the mk II dreads as a mainstay. Holt has 4 of them, and Nomarr's old ship was a mk 2 dread. I'm not sure if there are any Mk II to go around, but the idea of changing the assault mk II and cc9600 to two specialized mk II dreads is appealing. It would bring some character to TF 11 as well.

for this mission the rest of your force is elsewhere. Your command ship was dispatched and only 2 gunships will escort your ship. The fleet end of this is to distract and deliver an assault team and a negotiator if we have one. nothing anywhere near big enough to challenge a Dauntless will be around. most of the terrorist force will be fighters and modded freighters. The gunships will do the heavy lifting while the Salvation sits there and looks intimidating.

Ok so the opening post is up. I will wait a week for anyone to jump in that wants too. Jace did you want to do the alliance senator thing? Or another reason will work.

I have a terrorist leader primed and ready to deliver. Damien Kantrael is a Imperial renegade who wants to continue the Civil War and is not beyond blowing up civilians in the name of the One True Empire. Bring on the Starkillers. The galaxy can burn.

If we still want to do the Senator thing that would be a juicy target, but even without it Damien wouldn't be beyond blowing up a ship full of people.

How do you want to bring Damien in?

I was thinking his men could have infiltrated and already be on board ala plane hijacking. Wait until it's in space and on it's way and then pull out concealed weapons and storm the flight deck. Damien himself might not even be present as he's the head of the whole terror cell and being that deep in Alliance Space would certainly not spell well for him.

I'm definitely still up for being the target of the terrorists.

In fact, the Imperial renegade angle works exceptionally well with Senator Stark: he was originally the general of the 313th Stormtrooper Legion, who rose to power after all of his superiors in the Gordian Reach sector "mysteriously disappeared" (there's no evidence proving that Stark was in any way responsible, of course). When Stark sided with the Alliance, he brought a big chunk of the Gordian Reach's Imperial military with him... to put it in Fox News terms, he's basically the architect behind a mass defection, so he's exactly the sort of person that I expect someone like Damien would want to target.

I'm happy to post next if that makes sense, or I can wait for you to get a post in with Damien / the terrorists first? Whichever makes the most sense. :)

It is a perfect angle. Damien's terrorist cell, the Sons of Coruscant, would love nothing more then to bring in or kill a defector like Stark. There's a list of traitors the group is going after, both literal traitors and those Imperials that Damien feels have betrayed the Imperial agenda, while also attacking the Alliance to provoke the tiger back into war. This is a two birds with one stone kind of operation.

I think an opening post from Stark to situate him in the thread would be great before the terrorists react.
