CORONET CITY, Corellia– The bombs are dropping more than 30,000 parsecs away in the Lok, but there remains a fear the war's violence could strike close to home.

Concern about terrorism in the Galactic Empire has the SEO Sector Rangers across the galaxy "on full alert," including the one in Corusca Sector, Dai Von Juń, the office's supervisory special agent, reported yesterday.

"Where appropriate, we have been in contact with individuals or corporations or establishments that could potentially be a target (of terrorism)," he said.

"I'm not at liberty to discuss who those are" or how many there are, added Cordier, whose office covers Corusca and Vandor planetary systems.

Although the main areas of concern are planets such as Coruscant, Corellia, Byss and Obroa-Skai, the bureau cannot predict where an attack would occur, he said. The corp has a "decent handle" on known groups and individuals who may be sympathetic to the Alliance of Free Planets and might try to retaliate, Cordier said.

But it does not have a good handle on "individual political zealots who many have been moved by the events of the last months to take action by themselves," he said. But Cordier said people and communities should "not be too alarmist."

"It comes down to common sense and good judgment," he said. Like other SEO rangers throughout the systems, those in Corusca have been interviewing citizens in Corusca and Vandor.

They are not considered possible terrorists, Cordier stressed.

Instead, the office is warning people who might be subjected to "hostile or civil rights acts simply because of their Alliance background," he said. And the bureau is asking them for information they might have about possible terrorism in the New Order or actions in the Outer Rim & Mid Rim Territories, he said.
