What did you have for breakfast today?
"Dark toast, and a poached egg. The first order was sent back. The short order cook paid the price for his overcooking."

"The Dark Side of the Force offers many unnatural gifts. Does the object of your desire wish for wealth, power, or revenge?
Barring that, dark chocolate is always appreciated."

Darkened tidings bring whispers of worlds and those yet uncovered...
Always pondering a replacement for the current pupil. What length of failure would cause one to seek out more promising protégé? Where would the search begin? Onderon with the apostates? Or does the darkness call to other places? >D

Describe your perfect Sunday.
"Watching the New England Patriots play football. Though their uniforms aren't quite dark enough, I sense great power in Bill Belichick."

(finally a serious question!)
"If you refer to Acera, I have considered alternatives. She is only at my side so long as she remains useful. If she falters, arrangements have already been made. Indeed I have found a potential apprentice to usurp her. One far younger and more powerful."

I'll answer this OOC because there's no constructive IC response. Decepis's greatest weakness is his underestimation of driving factors that influence people beyond basic power. He finds a pressure point in someone that allows them to do all manner of things to pursue power, and he takes advantage of that avarice until that person is no longer useful to him and he discards them. He's in the process of doing that with s'Ilancy, but he fails to understand how much more durable love is than base pursuits of power.

I'll also answer this one OOC. Decepis takes an incredibly dim view of other "Sith" since he considers them heretical and weak in doctrine. He found her skills strong enough, but he'd consider her too undisciplined and not capable of being used to mold to his will, so he'd prefer for her to be killed immediately.

In your estimation, what was Palpatine's biggest mistake?

In your estimation, what was Palpatine's biggest mistake?
Aside from having a throne room that violates OSHA compliance and not installing a big-assed grate on the giant reactor chasm in death star 2?
That's a difficult question. His tactics were sound enough for Decepis to understand. Leveraging father against son to keep control over the victor. This isn't some hair-brained idea, it's the very nature of how the Sith endure. Removing the risk to himself removes some of the passion that Luke would have been subjected to. The danger has to appear quite real. I think considering all this, he'd figure Palpatine met his end due to an aberration.
