Ecks

The bed writhes with movement, limbs intertwined and suckered fingertips gently touching, probing... A heady mixture of musk and pheromones fills the air, and Ecks closes his eye, laying back as the two Rodian females continue their ministrations. A snout nuzzles his jawline, and he pulls the face closer, licking up one side of her face and down the other before releasing her. Time... passes.

He was careful not to release too many pheromones after the initial burst to get the party started, not wishing to exhaust his professional companions by whipping them into too much of a frenzy. Paying for sex was one thing, but he liked to make sure everyone was having a good time. The Rodian prostitutes left quietly, and he got up to shower, taking a good look at his naked body in the mirror in the refresher. His chest and groin were covered in sucker marks, but they would fade soon. He stepped into the shower and turned on the revitalizing ions that blasted his skin and made him tingle all over.

Retrieving his clothes from the chair in his room, Ecks got dressed quickly, strapping his armor pieces on top. His hair was brushed and tied in his customary top knot, and his feet fastened into heavy boots. Just another day at the office. He picked up his datapad and ran a quick search to see if any new bounties had come up near his vicinity.

She'd left Kale snoozing on the ship, sneaking outside for a morning run. Naboo's rising sun warmed her ears, and Rai'raa couldn't get enough of the view - lakes and mountains and gorgeous stone clad villas rising from the shoreline. The path she was on took her over a long bridge, the water far below sparkling as sunbeams found space to shine through the mountains.

She stopped at the midway point, leaning against the wall as speeders drove by. A pair of ships plied the waters below, the smaller one pulling the bigger toward the port more inland. Naboo was calm and quiet, and she loved it. Rai'raa stretched a little, loosening muscles that wanted to tighten up from running, and then started again, running down to the other side of the bridge.

"Looky smilin, mesa sorry to be gettin in the waysa." He bobbled awkwardly, the green cat-shesa brushin offa her clothes and avoiding his hand of helps.

"It's ok, rrreally. I should have been watching." Shesa took off down the sidewalks, and Monmoo watches for a while, eyestalks lengthening to keep shesa in sight.

Rai'raa shuddered a little, running faster to be out of sight of the Gungan, and slowed once she turned a corner. She really should have been watching where she was going. The half-breed Falleen looked both ways, and crossed the street. There was a row of hotels here...the aesthetic of this Naboo city was a lot more spread out than she was used to, with copious amounts of green space. Apparently everyone on Naboo had a speeder to get around as nothing was in waking distance of...anything else.

Rai'raa jogged down the street.

Kill Ecks. Do not capture. Do not disintegrate. Tap to continue.

The orders were simple in their expression but the performance of which had infinite variables of compounding complexity. A rare naked fingertip touched the datapad screen and the four lines disappeared; replaced by block of text that scrolled quickly until it passed and the screen was left empty. There wasn't even a pause as the pad was tossed across the room even before the warning flashed. A moment later the electronic device sparked, the screen dancing wildly as the memory card vaporized itself and the personal EMP wave destroyed everything that had once made it work. The reader sat for a moment longer, her mind recalling all the information that had just passed before her eyes faster than anyone could ever read and comprehend. It replayed like a video behind her eyes, slowed down; digested. Location information, leads, witness testimonies, and layout information for the structure.

It was everything she needed to make the tactical strike, and everything she needed to know that it was a badly drawn operation. Closed structure, the room in particular with no windows or external access beside the front and only door. Against a larger opponent, flagged as a level seven threat, reportedly heavily armed, and with potential back up a call away, it was a lot to wager against in a close quarters confrontation. It was not her usual motif, preferring to sit back on a rifle with a scope so large the magnification made it feel like you could reach out and touch the target. This was a Stormtrooper operation, but hidden away on Naboo it meant that agents had to be employed in secrecy, under plausible deniability. If caught, the Empire would pretend it didn't know her, that she was acting on her own; gone rogue. They wanted the Bounty Hunter Ecks dead for his crimes, but she knew it extended beyond that. He had a sphere of influence, and in this stand off war it was the independents that would tip the balance one direction or the other. Organized crime, bounty hunters, crime syndicates, and pirate bands had to be brought under control, cut down to manageable numbers, or absorbed. Repent or die. Being on the other side of the border did not promise him security. The Empire employed many agents, and no single person would ever be safe. Especially from her.

The skin tight body suit was pulled on, the various tech components slipped into place. Temperature and climate regulated, the suit was all she wore other than the boots, gloves, and visor; and it left absolutely nothing to the imagination. It was custom made to stick to and grab every contour, reducing drag, encouraging blood circulation and healing, as well as leaving nothing to hold on to. Two digitally locked footlockers sat against the wall, and the first one was opened and looked inside, to where a rather large rifle laid out nestled in shaped foam. It was touched tenderly before being closed and the second case unlocked by the same combination of number password and thumbprint. Out of this case a cut down blaster carbine was pried from the foam. It was smaller than most blaster rifles, easier to manipulate in close quarters and much lighter. A blaster pistol was slipped free and attached to her suit just above her buttocks by a magnetic connector. Extra ammunition was connected in a similar fashion to her thin belt and then the case was closed. The boxes were stuffed under the bed and she stepped up to the front door, pulled the visor over her eyes, removed the safety on the carbine, and then thumbed the activation stud on the personal stealth unit; disappearing from view.

Stepping out of the hotel room she walked down the stairs, moving slowly lest she cause the air to shimmer or cause the unit to overload. Once on the ground she moved around a corner and looked at the door to the number B17 unit of the same hotel she herself was hiding in. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Reaching out she knocked on the door. "Management!" and went silent, huddled close to the door. Listening. She heard footsteps drawing closer. The doors were thick. It was impossible to tell how close the walker was. It was a gamble that lacked the concrete variables she preferred. Taking single step back, she slipped the carbine against her shoulder and sighted at the door, and fingered the trigger. The weapon ripped to life, shredding through the door at chest height moving from left to right cleaving through the room beyond. When the ammunition finally ran out, and the barrel of the carbine was hot from the continuous fire, she ejected the empty energy clip and slapped in a fresh one. Stepping into the door she kicked the slagged portal open and stepped into the hotel room.

Just a typical day. Ecks stopped in front of his door with his heavy blaster rifle on his shoulder and bag in his hand, and stepped to the side into the refresher to make sure he wasn't leaving anything behind. The front door exploded, and he crouched as he spun around, blaster fire obliterating his hotel room. He narrowed his eye, bringing his rifle to bear on the open refresher doorway, and then lowered it, bracing himself. The attacker stopped to exchange clips, and stepped into his room.

Ecks bull rushed the intruder, crashing into them from the side and smashing them both against the wall.

The cheap door had spewed debris into the room, filling the air with super heated particles that were playing havoc with her visor. She took her hand off the carbine for only a moment to wipe the dust from the sensor lens when movement from the refresher doorway caught her attention, the looming shape suddenly appearing in sight. She tried to grab the carbine with both hands, tried to bring it up and fire, but she only manage a few shots that went wild before the Falleen twice her size crashed into her body; sweeping her up and carrying her with him into the wall, and through it. The wall was a useless plaster thing that only separated the rooms in vision alone, but now weakened with blaster fire it crumbled as the Falleen pushed her through it and into the next room which was not unoccupied. The love making trio quickly ran for the door, screaming, as Ecks and Luna tumbled to the floor.

Too close to fire her weapon she used it instead as a blunt force applicator as she smashed the barrel into the stomach of her adversary, using that slight recoil and resulting wiggle room to slip her head under his arms and roll out from under him. When he resisted her movement she elbowed him in the ribs and made a grab for her blaster, which would be fare more useful at this incredibly personal range.

With his heavy armor on, the much smaller assassin was having trouble placing any meaningful blows to his body. Ecks wasn't about to let her up if he could help it, she was likely much quicker than he when on her own two feet.

He grabbed one of her wrists with his hand, just as she reached her blaster. He pushed, keeping her hand pressed to the blaster and unable to draw it, then lifted his head up and slammed it down on her face.

The blow caught her right on her visor, splitting the image viewer in half and shattering the fragile piece of equipment. As the two broken pieces fell off the sides of her face she was forced to look at the green menace with her own eyes; the icy blue staring him dead in the eye; unwavering even in the face of certain defeat. She continued to struggle, trying to find a way out despite the diminishing odds. Her suit was slick, with nothing to grab hold of, but being pinned to the floor negated all advantages of the stealth suit.

And then the door exploded open, with armed men stepping into the room, and outside an amplified voice notified the occupants of the unit that they were the Theed Police Force and that they were to stand down and surrender.

Police interference was the last thing Ecks wanted. They weren't likely to take both sides and determine he was the wronged party. The big Falleen trusted his armor to protect him from their blasters, and lurched to his feet. Four steps away from the police and he was crashing through the window and falling two stories to the pavement.

Ecks rolled as he landed, and then stepped out into the street, stopping a speeder and yanking the driver out.
