If you know me at all, there is a good chance you are familiar with my cat Thomas.

Thomas is a rescue cat, who we adopted from a local cat and dog shelter back in February 2010. Since then, he has become a big part of our family - quite literally! Although he never ate a lot, Thomas became a huge fat cat in no time at all. Aside from having a massive arse, Thomas also has a big personality. He's never afraid of anything and when we got Bryn, our border terrier, he decided that he wanted to join us whenever we took Bryn out for a trot around the block. Although Thomas is much older than Bryn, the two of them would often play together, and give each other a little 'kiss' (by rubbing noses or licking each other) to say hello to each other.

Recently, Thomas has lost a lot of weight, gradually become deaf and started to show a few other concerning health issues too. It's been clear for a while now that there was something wrong with him, but after a trip to the vets today we have confirmed it.. Thomas has a lot wrong with him, and none of it can really be cured.
So, we will sadly be saying goodbye to him on Monday next week.
Since many of you are familiar with Thomas, even though you've never met him, I wanted to let you all know.
