If there's one thing to bring Liz out from hiding, it's a good music number:

We need a "Where in the World is Liz" map. :)

Well the last time I saw her was when we droped her off after Celebration Europe in Essen.

If we craft a well written "come back to us" note, will you hand deliver it for us? ;)

More like a "a Where in the world WAS Liz" because I always feel like every time I find out where she is she flits off again. :p

I think it's worth bearing in mind that Liz completely uprooted herself, and relocated half way around the world for a bunch of pretty complicated reasons. She's got a new job, and is trying to build a new life for herself in a totally different country with yet another new language on top of the fifty bajillion ones she already speaks. She's doing a bunch of stuff for the family business on top of that as well...

I'm sure she'd be flattered that we miss her and stuff... I'm just not sure that a "we miss you, come back to us!" guilt trip is necessarily the most sympathetic way of going about it.

I'm sure she'll be back in touch when she's good and ready to be. :)

I did not start this thread to guilt trip anyone into doing anything and implying that hurts my feelings.

I'm not saying that you did, Holly. I'm absolutely sure all you set out to do was give Liz warm and fuzzy feelings.

All I'm pointing out is that if Liz is not here, it's because she has an astronomical number of reasons not to be. I am sure she would be here hanging out with us if she could be: we need to be sympathetic to the fact that if she isn't here, it's probably because she can't be, for factors beyond her control. Liz summoning rituals? Come back to us notes? Personally, I'm more worried about making sure that Liz is actually okay, rather than trying to drag her back here.

Unfortunately, sometimes there's quite a big difference between what we want to convey, and what ends up coming across.

I'm afraid that cuts both ways and, regardless of your intentions, Holly has been offended by your words and a light-hearted bit of fun has turned sour.

I chose those words intentionally Droo, to illustrate a point. Just as Holly has inferred an attack from what I said (despite one not being intended), Liz may not interpret this thread in the way that Holly intends her to.

If anything, my comment was intended as a defense. I care about Liz like a sister, and frankly I find this whole thread to be in pretty poor taste. Light hearted and fun it may be, nut it's fun at Liz's expense. She has enough shit to deal with in her real life without worrying about whether a bunch of people she knows from the internet are bummed out about her being around or not.

If people really are interested in touching base with her, there are far more personal, far less public, and far more appropriate ways to go about that.

Sorry, but I'm not going to humour this discussion any further.
