The Ruins of the Massassi Temple (open)

It was a bright day. Armed with a sturdy walking stick and a heavy pack on his back, Aaron had decided that today was the day he would investigate the Massassi ruins. Always an early riser, he had been awake several hours preparing various necessities, and had left a note for James, just in case she wanted to join him. If not, he had a feeling that he would bump into someone else eventually. For the time being, he decided to do one last check of his kit and began rifling through his back, while knelt at the foot of stairs into the living quarters.

A heavy looking crate was on Vishan's right shoulder, steadied by either hand. His destination was his now shared quarters with Soolin. The Padawan was able to convince his Master to live like normal folk but wouldn't do so without Vishan there. She figured that if they could both live on the ship together, they could do so on Yavin as well.

She was stubborn as bolma.

Along the way, he noticed Aaron ruffling through some supplies and gave him a friendly nod, "Mornin'"

The two didn't know each other at all. They were merely acquaintances here on the planet and were here to train.

The last of the things that Aaron had upturned onto the ground were almost packed away. Hearing another voice, he looked up and smiled somewhat, briefly eyeing the burdensome looking crate that the man was carrying.

“Good morning…” He got to his feet. “Would you like any help with that?”

"Nah," he leaned forward and grab either side of the crate before setting it down on the ground as gently as he could so he wouldn't wake anyone up. "Ah'm used ta bein' ah beast of burdeon. Heh, 'sides, not really all tha' heavy. Breaks nice tho."

His eyes glanced along the various items that Aaron hadn't yet packed. "Little hikin' taday wit' your Master or sumtin?"

Aaron shook his head. “I don’t have a Master to go hiking with.” He smiled, to show that he wasn’t too troubled by this. “Thought I’d investigate those old ruins,” he jerked his thumb over his shoulder, towards the green slopes that hid the Massassi temple. “You’re welcome to join me, if you’ve got the time,” he added, picking up what was left on the ground and pushing it into the rucksack.

He stroked his chin, "Depends. How long is this expedition gonna take? Jus' for th' day or gonna be longer then tha'?"

Soolin had given him a couple of days off to get their personal items in order and to finish the tune up on the ship. Of course, R4 could handle that in the meantime. The opportunity to do some exploring was hard to pass up, as well as getting to know his fellow Jedi.

“Just the day,” Aaron replied, then adding as an afterthought, almost hopefully, “Unless something unexpected comes up while we’re there.”

"Well then," he hefted the crate up with a grunt and managed to put on a enthusiastic smile. "Lemme get this in my room an' meetcha back 'ere in ah bit."

The Padawan left a note for Soolin so she would not get worried where he ran off to. He also left instructions for what was in the crate and packed up a few supplies that would be needed for the hike. He got a pretty good look at what Aaron was bringing and tried to match or complement the items.

Twenty minutes later, Vishan returned with a pack over his shoulder and his holster now held a blaster that was missing from their earlier meeting. "Sorry Ah kept ya waitin'."
