"Syn... Syn... This is the Field Test... Pay attention to all of my instructions. Follow them to the letter. I do not wish to repeat this process for several reasons... Your objective is to find the designated targets. There are two. When you have found the first, I administer further instructions from there on. Begin."

The small comm link beeped out as the turbolift doors opened to the familiar haze and smog of the Coruscant Slums. The contact in his left eye served as a remote nav comp which also recorded everything he saw and transmitted it back to the Doctor. The target was off to the North, several blocks maybe and the cluster of buildings in front of Syn's vision said it would not be a straight path either.

He set off at a run, his environment was familiar and yet not to his heightened awareness. Similar smells and sights but... more... there? It was hard for Syn to describe to himself as he ran. It was as if everything before waking up from that final operation had been a simulation and this was the real thing. Syn made a quick turn down a dark alley, hurdling over a bum lying in the middle of the path as he continued.

The Coruscant Slums were a labyrinth to say the least. And the turbolift to the Doctor's lab was nearly unrecognizable. For many years, Syn had relied on the Doctor and the RNC to get him back but over time he had become more and more familiar with the jumble of turns and twists until he was finally at home in the dingiest sectors of Coruscant. But he was more than aware what was the Doctor's territory and what wasn't. Only a few steps out of the Doctor's area and Syn would surely be lost, not to mention fair game. The underworking currents of the Slums respected the Doctor enough to save their grudges for away from his security system.

The target, as Syn pressed onwards, was not too far out but it was in the middle of the labyrinth, as if tucked away. He could only wonder what the target was now. Obviously the Doctor had planted a transmitter on it, or maybe thats all it was. But why have Syn do a relay? That would be too redundant. Was it another combat droid? The last one had nearly killed him but he had beaten it eventually. Eventually. Maybe it was an actual person? How would he get it from them?

He turned another corner to where the target would be and paused. Turning back quickly and slowly looking past the corner and down the hallway to observe...
