Whishh...

The wind was moving in a very small part of the Training Grounds. This was odd, because this was one of those days when there was no wind; this playful breeze was going against nature and loving it, just like its creator. Je'gan was sitting in the middle of what was turning into a small vortex, meditating and waiting for Zereth.

Zereth stepped carefuly through the training grounds. He didn't know what to expect from Je'gan so he walked at a slow pace. He turned a corner and his eyes nearly popped out of his head. There, amit what looked like a small tornado, sat Je'gan. Zereth hadn't been expecting this and the sight was something uncommon, and unnatural.

He walked forward. The wind spun around him, pulling at his clothing and hair. He kept on walked until he reached Je'gan at the middle of the vortex. He stopped walking and stood still infront of Je'gan. He didn't need to voice his presence for he knew Je'gan had sensed him coming as soon as he set foot in the training grounds.

"Good afternoon, Zereth," Je'gan said, eyes closed. "Any idea how this is done?"

With the force was the abvious answer that flashed through Zereth's mind but he did not let it escape his lips. "I'd say some form of Telekensis. Taking the air around you and swirling it around and around, giving it a center for to swirl around. Like how a planet's gravity makes it's moons orbit around it."

"That might be the eventual mindset you need, but here's how you begin. Take your mind down to the level of the particles that make up the air."

Zereth focused his mind on the very air around him. He could sense pollen from the nearby flowers that floated throguh the air. He sensed everything down to the very particles of the air. It was a strange and new things for him. He found it easier to consentrate when he norrowed his analysis to a small patch of air instead of all of it around him as he had started out doing.

See how fast they move? Simply taking control of them isn't going to work with any efficiency. Make their paths curve. Start with one, and work your way up to as many as you can manage.

Zereth focused on a single particle of the air. He bent it's path and causing it to move out of it's normal path. He sent the particles around and around in circles by deverying its path again and again.

More. You can definitely handle more. Try a thousand. Doesn't have to be EXACTLY a thousand, but try for somewhere around there.

Oh, and it helps if they all curve the same way.

Zereth looked around and targeted as many of the particles as he dared and then he turned them all into the same direction. The air and the particles as swurved, turned and spun to Zereth's command. He pulled more and more into the stream as he went.

Be delicate. Be artistic, if you feel like it. Above all, don't simply 'yank' the particles. Make their paths curve - no abrupt turns. It's more efficient.

Once you have that, try to swirl as many as you can into an area the size of a walnut. It may take effort, but I think you can get it to the point where there's at least some combustion happening.

Interesting Zereth thought as he swirled the perticles around a bit more before swirling them in a tight pocket about the size Je'gan had said. His pocket kept getting bigger and he went and it took him awhile to finaly get it to stack small. He spun them in that small area and waited for the combustian Je'gan had spoke of.

Je'gan narrowed his eyes.

Smaller. It will burst into flame.

Zereth squeezed the area smaller yet. The particles spun around so fast that at times he thought he'd loose control. Then without warning the particles erupted together in a flash of fire that lit the faces of the two men for a second before it went out. "That was interesting" Was all Zereth could say.

"Do it again...try to maintain a fireball of that size and intensity for as long as you can."

Zereth took the particles around him again and spun them around for a moment before sticking them into the small bubble as he had before. The particles spun like crazy until at last they burst into a flare of light. Unlike last time Zereth kept the particles moving, feeding the flare and keeping it going. The flare increased in size until it was about the size of his head. The fire crackled in the air and Zereth felt the heat on his face. He kept it up for around five minutes before he released it and let the fireball go out.

"There. That's the fireball. With that, you can set anything right beside you on fire."

Je'gan's voice was not without humour as he created a fireball of his own, substantially smaller than Zereth's. The ball hovered in between their eyes. Turning to the side, the Sith Knight took firmer command of the particles that comprised the pyrkinetic assault and shoved them away. The ball soared, hitting a small, gnarled tree and igniting it. Dusting off his hands, Je'gan turned back to his former Apprentice.

"Two ways of doing this: either hit the ball with a Force-push to propel it, or use your grip on the particles themselves and move them directly. Your call."

Zereth thought it over briefly. He decided he'd go with the force push and perhaps in his free time learn to control the fireball by its particles. He reached out his hand, palm up, and gathered the particles again and swirled them in a space a safe distance over the palm of his hand. The particles ingnited again and the fire ball appaered over hand. He felt the heat on his open hand and fed more energy into the fire ball. He moved his hand from the bottom of the fireball to behind it, open palm facing the fireball. He then sent a powerful push of the force behind the ball and it flew across the training grounds and connected with the same tree that Je'gan had thrown his at. "Very interesting" Zereth said as he watched the fires dance on the tree, "I like it."

"You seem to have that well enough in hand. Let's move on."

Je'gan gestured; a wall of air slammed towards Zereth from a range that could most kindly be described as 'point blank' and a direction that Zereth would probably consider unnecessarily crule: the blast started at the ground and went straight up.

Zereth felt something moving around his feat and instictively backflipped through the air and away from the blast that had threatened him. He felt the air woosh past him while was in the air and caused him to land ackwardly from his flip. He hit the ground and lost his balance and fell over.

He grumbled as he got back up on his feet and brushed the non-existant dirt of his cloths. "What was that?" He asked as he cautiosly took a few steps toward Je'gan. His senses in over-drive and his body ready to move away if such a thing happened again.

"That was what happens when all the air particles in an area move in the same direction. It's not unlike a Force-push, but it's easier to customize.

"Give it a try."

"Interesting" Zereth said before closing his eyes and consentrating on a large patch of air particles. He swished them around for a while until he was used to controlling the large amount of air particles. He tilted his head slightly and the entire wall of air particles flew upwards, at a slant, towards Je'gan's stomach area.
