I've been reading around and there's alot of mentions of this "Watch" but I'm not quite sure what it is. Is it a NR thing, or something more evil? And how did it get started and whatnot?

The Coruscant Watch. Kind've..the coruscant police.

Yup, it's basically the police force on Coruscant, adapted from the Watch in Terry Pratchetts 'Discworld' novels :) (you'll notice similarities in names if you're a fan ;))

Ah, so just jurisdiction over Coruscant, not too shabby. So they basically rule Coruscant? Not the Jedi or whoever's occupying it now..?

Sadly, I haven't read any discworld novels...But maybe now is a good time to start :) How many of 'em are out there?

They're the police, dude. The mayor of each (Coco in this case) district tells them what to do. Part of the bureaucracy and all.

No. Just missed a few threads- which we all do from time to time. I for one did not know about the districts having mayors.

That's a good point. Given that Coruscant is essentially one city, would it get more than one mayor?

But then you think about it, and realize that the whole city is split into regions, so it gets less confusing.
