If getting a tattoo is something that you really want to do, then go for it, but remember, once you have one, you've got it for life. And they hurt like crazy to get. I speak from experience and it's also not something I'm eager to try again.

Depends where you get it. I got mine on my upper arm/shoulder and it felt like somebody was poking a sunburn. Uncomfortable, but completely forgettable. I never felt like it was a bad thing. There are bigger concentrations of nerve clusters in different spots. The underside of the arm is a painful spot from what I hear, as are the stomach and genitals. The back is hit and miss. Almost every girl goes for the amazingly uninspired "small of the back" tattoo, and I hear that's a pretty touchy spot. My friend has a 10 inch line of kanji running down his upper back, and he said that was a bit painful at times.

A good rule of thumb is, if it feels good to be messed with during foreplay, its going to be a bitch to ink. Follow that advice and you're gold.

I'll put up pictures when I have access to a digital camera. There are two in this house, but ones beyond repair and the other ones been lent out and I already have to use the one that has been lent out to take pictures of my niece to send to my parents.

The closest I'll get to a tattoo is hena (sp?). That way I can get different ones without having to worry about permanency.

(But if ever I reach that "mid-life crisis" stage, I'll prob get a panther climbing up my left shoulder blade and a vine around my right ankle. Had them before, but they were only temp.)

Actually, if I were to get ink done, I'd do it on the small of my back. One: I think it's the most attractive place to put one, and two: it's a place that won't stretch very much if you have kids.
