View Full Version : And the Walls Come Tumbling Down (open for one to two Darksiders)

The day is quiet, more than agreeable to the young Padawan. Or, at least, as quiet as one can expect on Coruscant. The drone of the populace is almost soothing to the young man... it sounds as if everything is simply running its course.

Suddenly, his leasurely stroll is interrupted. A figure crashes into his shoulder, spinning him into an elderly female passerby. He does not get a good look at who hit him, and instead tries to help the older lady to her feet.

As he turns to see who passed him, he notices Anbira Hiccoru dash past, in hot persuit. Obviously, this was not just some rude being... unless Anbira had taken up the job of Crossing Guard recently.

He draws his warhammer from his back, powers up the EM field, and rushes to persue.

"You! Stop!"

Anbira broke into a full sprint, sloughing off his heavier brown outer robe for the mobility of the tunic underneath. Pedestrians whipped by him at a rapid pace as he accelerated. It still wasn't enough. His quarry was gaining on him.

"Fast one, eh." He spoke through an uneven breath.

The Jedi Master took an elongated stride, which throttled him upward and forward, carrying his increasing speed into flight. Clear of the ground, Anbira bore down on the fleeing villain like a bullet...

Zasz had gotten into an arguement with one of his dealers. About a certain shipment he required. The crystal he had ordered was meant for a study the Dark Jedi was doing- except the man, had decided he would be brave, and up the price when it was time to pickup.

"No, I'm not going to pay thirty. We agreed on ten."

"The risk went up, so the price went up.

"I'm not going to bother paying that price. I will, however, take it for free."

And he had slain the man. He had done this, because this was the first time he had been used for a contract. Especially one this high..credit. But, what Zasz hadn't noticed, was there was somewhat outside who had seen it- and before he could do anything, there was a Jedi on his back.

Normally he'd quell this rather quickly, but he didn't want to deal with it- he had taken to running. However, that was not getting him far at all, and he felt it...

Zasz turned, his palm open as a rather hefty amount of energy was thrust upwards- meant to throw the approaching Jedi away.

"Meddle in your own business."

And he began his stride once more.

OOC: If you're a Dark Sider and want to jump in, just hop on in.

IC: Barely, through the crowd ahead, he sees the man stop and raise a hand. If Draken were guess, it looked like the man was using the Force in some way. Coupled with the fact that Anbira hadn't simply flung the perp into a wall, he can only assume that the man is a Force user. Draken halts momentarily and concentrates, summoning up his innate armor. He'll be a lot more protected now, but slower than dirt otherwise. He yells after Anbira, if for no other reason than to let him know that he's there. He would not want to be on the receiving end of an attack should Anbira mistake him for a second enemy.

"Anbira! I'm on my way!"

Several blocks away, a young man lifted his head from the newspaper that had been adorning his table when he sat down in the open-air café. He was looking in the general direction of another man, a white-collar type; his eyes were unfocused.

The white-collar man gulped the last of his caf and noticed Je'gan staring. He stood and thought better of it as the young man's eyes didn't move. At last, shrugging, he left. Je'gan still sat there, staring at nothing.

At last, Je'gan put down the paper and folded it carefully. He picked up the last few crumbs of his pastry with his fingertips and nibbled them away. His cloak was draped over the back of his chair. Standing, he retrieved it and fastened the low-necked gray armourweave over his shoulders. The sleeve of his tunic, a similar dark, almost olive gray, disgorged a black-and-silver tube with a slight curve. Someone nearby drew a quiet breath.

Je'gan's eyes shifted, casting their dead gaze on a petrified fellow diner. The corners of the Sith Knight's mouth turned up, just slightly, and he shook his head in a wordless gesture of assurance: he wasn't here to kill.

His Force signature had been anything but blaring earlier; now, as he moved out of the diner and into the street, he muted it further. His stride ate up the pavement as he approached the scene from behind Draken Chakara.

Azubah lit in an eyeblink, a quiet snarl disturbing the normal noise of the crowd. The sky-blue blade cleared a path between Je'gan and the hammer-bearing Jedi.

Anbira was pressed backwards by Zasz's rebuke. He righted himself, the heels of his boots skidding on the ground as he countered the darksider's defense.

"Our business is the same. Let's discuss it!"

The ground beneath Zasz's feet erupted upwards, sending chunks of pavement and the Sith above them into the air.

OOC: Sorry... the Akrabbim above should be Draken.

IC: The blast from the Dark Sider slows Anbira enough for him to catch up. He jogs to a halt next to Anbira and tries to assess the sitation.

"Anbira... what's going on? Who is that guy?"

No longer was his mindset set on fleeing this battle. No, the Jedi found it pertinent to 'bring him to justice'. He was laying on the ground, and the look he was giving Anbira was not at all pleasant. Full attention had been given to him. He stood up, and merely smiled.

"Your arguement has proven true."

Zasz conceded- acting as if this was Anbira's fault. All the blame shifted. He couldn't help but to grin. He began to sidestep the rubble at his feet; where he had been taken off of them. Onlookers began to get the hint.

There was going to be a fight, and 'normals' shouldn't be near.

"What's the death of one greedy merchant?"

Je'gan slowed as Draken came even with Anbira. Though he would have relished taking out the weaker of the two Jedi, he had no desire to get anywhere near the legendary Angel of Death.

His eyes flicked to Zasz once, evaluating him: a Master, not one that Je'gan knew and not, to his knowledge, a member or affiliate of the Order. Not an ally, then, or at least not unless circumstances changed for the worse for both Darksiders.

The Sith Knight stopped about fifteen metres behind Chakara and palmed Magor with his left hand. Another snarl sounded and a second blue flame appeared; brandishing both lightsabres, Je'gan drew into a Form II stance.

"Equal in weight to the death of anyone else."

Anbira's brow furrowed. He could sense the dark side permeating this place. His quarry obviously reveled in it, but this did not seem to be the only source.

Draken approached him, inquiring about the darksider's identity. Before Anbira's answer could reach him, the Jedi's saber blazed to life, hurtling toward's Jegan's own blades, swinging with the guide of an invisible hand.

"Why don't you ask him?"

He shot Draken a funny look before springing skyward.

Draken turns quickly as Anbira's saber goes hurtling by him. He had completely missed the sound of Je'gan's sabers igniting in all the commation. Fortunately, Anbira's actions alerted him to the newcomer.

"So... who are you? What do you know about all this?"

He sets himself, getting a good, solid stance, and hefting his warhammer in front of him. There was a time when Draken would have attempted to talk to the newcomer with the sabers without taking any threatening postures. He had learned, however, that if a man comes toward you carring lit lightsabers, he is likely not there for a friendly chat. Nonetheless, he wanted to give the man a chance to resolve this peacefully.

However, if he could not be persuaded to do so... well, that's what the warhammer is for.
