It started playing yesterday from what I understand, but I didn't see it until this afternoon. I've hosted it on the GJO server for those to download and view. I think just about everyone here will appreciate it. :)

Figrin and I discussed the history of the Sportscenter commercials last night. They continue to put out some of the best spots on TV...one right after the other..every year. It's rather amazing really.

Nothing will ever beat the Y2K commercial("Follow me to freedom!") or the United Way spoof("Get up kid...your mom signed a waiver!") for me - though this one is up there. :D

What could have been really cheesy, was pretty funny. My favorite bit was Chewie losing his temper in the break room. Man, if they would have shown him tearing off some SC anchor bodies apart it would have been perfect!

Thats awesome! I loved the Vader.

The follow me to Freedom is easily one of my favorite of their commericals.

Yeah, SC always has great commercials.

This is definitely one of their best ever. I love it! :lol

The best was the Power Outage / Lance Armstrong one.

Charlie Steiner always managed to have the best/funniest roles in those commercials... from "Follow me to freedom!" to "Melrose Place poolboy" to hiding from Evander Holyfield ("Come out an' get your whoopin', Charlie!"), he was just hilarious. That, combined with the time he cracked up on Sportscenter trying to do the Carl Lewis national anthem story, makes him a personal favorite of the ESPN personalities.

That's one of my faves too. Also love the Grant Hill piano one. :D

I miss Steiner. Unfortunately he works for the evil empire radio network now.

Yeah never understood that. I figured he get more money at ESPN unless that is a dream job for him or something. I actually miss Olberman he was great with Patrick, although you can at least still watching on MSNBC.

It was one of the original ads. I bet it was within the first 5 spots ever done for Sportscenter...so about 10 years ago I'd guess.
