He made a movie about the islam and was working on a movie about right wing politician Pim Fortuyn who was murdered in May 2002.

He was like a right winged Michael Moore. A film director with a political message.

It's a little scary although reading more about the guy he is not completely sympathetic. He sounded like somebody who would have supported the Nazi back in the 30's with his anti-emetic, anti-christian beliefs. Not that I condone killing him. I think those views are wrong but killing people with said beliefs is just as wrong.
