OOC note: this is set before Ice Sculpture, so we can get your abilities to that level legitimately.

IC: Je'gan sat meditating on a stone bench in the Training Grounds, feeling the air move around him with all the anger of autumn winds. He'd commed Kes not long ago, and was now waiting.

It was a life she had chosen and a life she was getting more and more used to.

The Sith was her family now. She was part of it and would remain so until her death. She vowed her life to it.

But, even with her new life amongst the Sith, there was still one that she missed and wondered whether or not she'd see again.

A'jorrah Mazzic.

She sat in her room at her computer terminal trying to locate the older woman that was more like a mother to her than anything.

But, before she got too far she was commed by Je'gan her Sith Master and hurried on her way to meet him for another training session.

Kes bowed respectfully as she met up with him. "Good afternoon, Master."

He stood up and stretched as he watched his Apprentice approach. His first Apprentice...and for a moment he was reminded of when he'd been like that. Not that he'd ever had that much trouble with controlling his anger, but not long ago he'd been an Apprentice like Kes.

"Welcome to today's training," he said jovially. "We'll be working on refining and increasing some of the skills you already know, so don't expect much that's new...ready to start?"

"Sounds great, I'm ready when you are." Kes answered with a nod. She needed all the practice she could get.

On the bench beside him were several strange objects, sorted according to size. He picked up one, a hollow tube, and handed it to Kes.

"I'm going to drop this through," he said, picking up a small stone and holding it above the end of the tube. "Your job is to create a Force-shield around the bottom of the tube that will stop the pebble. You cannot start until I drop the stone."

Without further ado, he dropped it.

She didn't have time to think, let alone create a Force sheld and the pebble hit the ground.

Kes scratched her head. "Hmmm, can we try that again?"

He grinned, knowing that Kes had learned her lesson: always be prepared. The rock floated up to the top of the tube, and after exactly five seconds, dropped.
