Lambda-A
The Lambda-A shuttle is virtually identical to the original old Imperial design. In fact, it’s the original model with simply upgraded shielding (not cling-class, but still high quality Federacy technology) and upgraded engines (Maverick lab engineered).
Lambda-A shuttles are used as general transports and supply craft.
Lambda-B
The Lambda-B shuttle is designed to carry important cargo. New Federacy shields and engines have been employed—as with the A-class. Additionally, a single micro-anti-matter reactor has been installed. Generally, B-class shuttles have a variety of more powerful weapons.
Every Star Destroyer has a few B-class shuttles. They tend to be used to ferry more expensive cargo from destination to destination.
Lambda-C
The Lambda-C is for very important people. The hull has been stripped and replaced with the Prostasia system. Engines include BlazerX3’s. Cling-glass Wash/Ray shields are generally employed. Interestingly, the weapons systems of the C-class are extremely advanced. Neural interfaces are used to control three independent laser gatling turrets mounted on each wing tip. The interface is networked and can be either used by the pilot, a single gunner, or up to three gunners.
The gatlings employed have smaller barrels than those found on fighters. They are similar to defensive banks. The goal of the weapon is to provide a mass of rapid fire, rather than a few, select, precise shots.
Although all Federacy vessels tend to have one C-class shuttle, they see main usage on planets. Dignitaries, captains, and admirals all use these well-defended vessels.
Lambda-D
The D-class Lambda shuttle is designed for high-ranking officials and extremely important missions. The entire skeleton of the craft has been rebuilt using Neutron Triensys (Triangle Energy System). New RIEM-CC armor plating has been applied. Two Blazer X4U’s provide amazing speed and articulation. High powered cling-class QuadIon Wash/Ray shields protect the craft, AMS lasers protect from missile attacks, GelGate Beta RV-2 hyperdrives provide brilliant hyperspace speed. The craft uses the latest in Neural technology. All-in-all the D-class possesses all of the latest and greatest technologies.
Very few Lambda-D’s are in service, due to their high price. The Imperator uses a slightly modified variant. Other than the leader of the Federacy, several high ranking fleet officials, government officers, and rich businessmen of the Federacy employ the costly craft.
The Imperator’s “copy” is renowned for its secrecy; however, one can be sure that it packs a significant stealth package and heavy firepower.
