It had been sometime since Naj had been down to the forge in the lowest level of his tower. For the most part, he hadnt had the time, and he was also studying up for his next experiment. A small reason why he hadnt been down, however, was due to his first experiment, which had failed miserably. He'd spent nearly a full month, just reading up on the alchemical applications he would do in the experiment, then another month on top of that gathering materials.

The process had been repeated for today. He was using all new notes for this experiments. He still had his old notes tucked away in his study. He knew as badly as he wanted to burn the whole notebook, he would be a fool to do so.

Everything was setup now. Behind him, his notebook was opened for him to glance at if he happened to forget something. Beside him, chemicals were already mixed and ready for application. With no other preparations to make, Naj began preparing the forge itself, getting all the temperatures set to begin melting down the blocks of steel he had purchased.

The mold was also set from the last experiment. A simple staff. The biggest part of the experiment was clipped to Naj's belt. A single bladed lightsaber that he'd found tucked away in the Iron Citadel.

The steel he had purchased was beginning to be melted down when Naj checked his notes. He read a little bit then got the first mixture ready. The chemicals were different from last time, but the effect, according to Naj's notes would be the same as the previous experiments goal. The only difference this time, the metal would probably end up a bit weaker than what he would have hoped for. Even then, steps could be taken afterward to strengthen the metal, such as reinforcing it with a stronger alloy. But he was getting ahead of himself. The steel was nearly molten at this point, and that was when the application process would begin.

The first bit of molten metal dripped into the mold, preceding the smooth flow afterward. As the mold filled, Naj poured the first mixture in. A waft of greenish-grey smoked rose up as the liquid mixed into the molten metal.

Naj reached over and flipped on the ventilation system, as the fumes were most likely toxic. After that, Naj turned and grabbed the second mixture, then patiently waited for the metal to cool enough so that it didnt harden, but wouldnt evaporate the mixture on contact...
