Dreamless sleep was such a precious thing, and Daria treasured every moment of the night she spent curled up in Naj's tower. Huddled beneath a great fur blanket she had dozed and spent perhaps one of the most pleasant naps she'd experienced in a long time. The rising sun was just high enough now to reach through the towers windows, however, and the rays awoke her with a start.
A glance around and she spotted her cloak, which she pulled on and tied tightly. She felt well rested, but a little groggy - not helped by the fact that she had been in the same clothes for some time now. Naj was no where to be seen, so she decided now would be a good time to explore, and waltzed down the stairs out into the crisp morning.
The previous evening her 'saviour' had taught her one or two words of Basic, one of which was:
"Hello!"

Hanging upsidedown from the bastille Jared uncurled and looked down upon the cloaked one from above. From what he could figure, minus the pressure of the blood rushing to his head, she wasn't part of the originals.
Not that he knew of, anyway.

The wind knocked back the mentalists hood as she looked upwards to the source of the noise. That was all it seemed to her, a pattern of noises, indecipherable. Squinting slightly, she made a faint smile up at the upside down man, and wondered silently if people here always hung like this. She lifted a hand and waved it cautiously at Jared.

Jared held up a finger, to say hold. Curling up once more, he slid a curved harpy blade from his boot and flicked the blade across the rope. No longer tied to the building, the warrior dropped, twisting enough to land in a crouch.
Standing, he brushed some dirt from his arm, Clapped his hands together once, and exhaled. "Th'names Jared, your...?."

For the past three hours Naj had been immersed in books ranging from alchemical text, to his own notes from his first experiment. He hadnt found his reason for failure, however, he was now working on an alternate formula that might achieve the same desired effects. His time now was spent reading and following element properties and effects, crosschecking mixtures, and furiously scribbling notes in his notebook. That was, until he heard his name...
At first, he almost decided to finish up to a stopping point before going outside to see who was calling him, til he realized just WHO it was calling him.
Fearing the worst, Naj quickly stormed out of his study, making quick work of the stairway as he burst out the sidedoor, looking about frantically for Daria.

The sound of something impacting on the castle's walls caught Jared's attention quickly. A quick scan through the Force told him who it was, nearly instantly, and he jerked a thumb at the tower. "He's over there," Jared said, begining to trek torward the spire..

Naj had appeared just outside of the tower moments after Jared had began leading the way back. He understood her, she understood him – it made conversations so much more interesting!

A basket of bright red clothing waddles by, shaking slightly next to Naj before moving on.
The big'un makes me troubles, I cook him poisnens if he keeps up!
Inu's apprentice Neepik has torn the Knight's room asunder, frustrated at the sudden abscence of his master. Now the little groundskeeper has to repair and replace Inu's broken things and restore the room. First on the list is the damaged clothing, which it must repair and wash.
Yous'uns keep eyes on him! it says, trying to look from beneath the overlarge basket and tipping it over. He makes too much troubles without watchin'!
It puts the clothing back in the basket, trying to get under it again, but without a wall to assist, the tiny creature has little success.

As he answers, a small green creature walks by. Surprisingly enough, not only is it sentient, but it knows Basic also. Naj pauses until the initial shock wears off. Noticing that the groundskeeper is having some difficulties, Naj lifts the basket so that the groundskeeper can get back under it...

Daria made a bit of a grin at Naj. She could some how understand exactly what this little mite was saying and it was for some reason pleasing her to no end. Looking back at the groundskeeper, she rose to her feet once against though kept stooped slightly, holding the laundry basket steady with one hand.

You's a good girl, helpin' with the clothes! We needs more here. The menfolk make too much mess for poor Groundskeeper t'clean!
The creature's voice carries a proud, happy tone. Daria is a breath of fresh air for the little creature. She hasn't blown anything up or made a big mess of anything. Though it would never admit to having favorites, it likes her best of its current masters.

A basket of bright red clothing waddles by, shaking slightly next to Naj before moving on.
The big'un makes me troubles, I cook him poisnens if he keeps up!
Inu's apprentice Neepik has torn the Knight's room asunder, frustrated at the sudden abscence of his master. Now the little groundskeeper has to repair and replace Inu's broken things and restore the room. First on the list is the damaged clothing, which it must repair and wash.
Yous'uns keep eyes on him! it says, trying to look from beneath the overlarge basket and tipping it over. He makes too much troubles without watchin'!
It puts the clothing back in the basket, trying to get under it again, but without a wall to assist, the tiny creature has little success.

As he answers, a small green creature walks by. Surprisingly enough, not only is it sentient, but it knows Basic also. Naj pauses until the initial shock wears off. Noticing that the groundskeeper is having some difficulties, Naj lifts the basket so that the groundskeeper can get back under it...

Daria made a bit of a grin at Naj. She could some how understand exactly what this little mite was saying and it was for some reason pleasing her to no end. Looking back at the groundskeeper, she rose to her feet once against though kept stooped slightly, holding the laundry basket steady with one hand.

You's a good girl, helpin' with the clothes! We needs more here. The menfolk make too much mess for poor Groundskeeper t'clean!
The creature's voice carries a proud, happy tone. Daria is a breath of fresh air for the little creature. She hasn't blown anything up or made a big mess of anything. Though it would never admit to having favorites, it likes her best of its current masters.

Naj glances over at the Groundskeeper and Daria as they walk off, then back to Jared for a moment. He started to speak, but stopped and looked over toward Daria again.
Once more, he started to speak, but stopped and shrugged his shoulders to Jared.
