Salem Ave stood at the edge of the Iron Citadel, staring up into the structure. The vampires’ eyes were narrowed and claws cupped over his mouth to amplify his voice.

Ishan heard the voice call into the wind. He had spent the last few days here in Cinnager, studing mostly. A chance to escape from Courcant and get his mind focused on more...important matters. He rose from his seat and made his way toward the door.
Perhaps Salem had something to say.

Almost a half an hour before, Naj had noticed a strange ship entering the system. Considering the secrecy of the Krath's location and the happenings not too long ago, Naj didnt have to guess too many times who it was.
Making his way out of the upper reaches of his Tower. Naj stopped by his lab to grab a few things. Namely his rifle and a few tranquilizer darts. He hadnt had a chance to make anything from the sample of blood he'd taken from Salem....But Salem didnt have to know that. If nothing else, he had enough tranq to down Salem long enough to trap the Vampyre in a cage.
The first time he'd dealt with Salem, he'd nearly been ripped to shreds. Wounds on his arm and chest were still healing. There would be physical scars deeper than emotional scars made by having to fight his own mentor.
He quickly ran out of his tower and to the edge of the Termagent Forest, close to the Iron Citadel. If it was indeed Salem, that would most likely be where the Vampyre would go.
He waited a few minutes later before seeing the shadowy visage of a tall humanlike being. The silhoutte was unmistakeable.
As Salem called out to the Krath, Naj stepped out of the shadows behind him, rifle in hand.
"I told you to never come back Salem...."

Naj stepped out further into the moonlight, his rifle held high. His sights firmly set on Salem.
"I've given you all the warning I intend to give, traitor. Had it not been for your kindness in the past, I'd drop you where you stand."
Behind him was a shuffling in the forest. One of the smaller Baffor trees seemed to almost be peeking out from behind another, watching the procedings with curiousity. It was the first time the forest had shown Naj any bit of sentience, and it sent a shiver up his spine...

Salem looked to the Termagent forest with a tiny smile. The Baffor Trees – the only thing he would miss.
“Yesss… you would. You prrrobably should, but you won’t.”
The Knight closed his eyes for a moment before turning and walking straight on past Naj. One hand lifted into the air, as though to give a dismissive wave.

Naj resisted every urge he had to pull the trigger. Every bit of hate within him boiled to the surface. His eyes narrowed as he watched the Vampyre strut away. But he had to keep his calm.
Never in a million years would he have guessed that Salem would decieve them. He was smarter now. Quietly, he walked back to his tower and made his way to the upper level. If there were more traitors amongst them, then they wouldnt be leaving without Naj's knowledge....He would be watching the landing pad carefully...

Blaine had only heard a call but had decided not to rush to the spot. He was a few feet away and decided not to get near for a moment. Something was different in Salem; something odd.
Listening to his traitorous words, Blaine only listened from away, like Ishan did, and decided not to approach.
"The guy's gone nuts" Blaine said to himself.
As Salem took the slow steps away from the Krath, he saw the face of a whole new vampyre. It was not Salem anymore and he had made a decision to leave. Blaine only watched.
