Devaron and Guiji

The New Republic planets of Devaron and Guiji are ripe to be struck by a fast moving attack force. Fleet Admiral Laran - you are strike at these planets within an IC week of one another. Your forces consist of;

Grand Raider Division

- Flagship – ISD-V Kelvin
- Assault Frigate Scintilla
- VSD Indoctrinator
- VSD Memel

The defenses will be as such -

Devaron - a quartet of Assault Frigates, backed up by an Escort Carrier.

Guiji - an MC-80b or MC-90 in addition to some frigate- or corvette-class escorts. Guiji also has some surface to space weaponary.

As you can see, Guiji is better defended, which is why an Escort Frigate and two Interdictor Cruisers will be joining the taskforce. The Frigate can carry a full wing of TIE Defenders - which will be useful in supressing the numerous NR fighter squadrons based there.

Will she have the rest of the Grand Raider Division as a reserve, or will they be otherwise deployed.

The gunships and corvettes can join the attack, but the frigates and cruisers should be held in reserve unless needed - like at Guiji.

No, we aren't waiting for the Senate thread, just for Lion to return from his travels, which should be soon. You can start the thread in Storytelling though, the buildup, etc.

I will do these as two separate threads, although linked together. Diversion: Devaron, and Diversion: Guiji will be linked together by the last and first posts.

For Devaron I will place my Interdictor behind my fleet to protect my backside against reinforcements popping into system too suddenly, but leaving us room to make good our escape.... more to come

FYI, you will have three Interdictor Cruisers at your disposal - that should be enough to cover the spacelanes of both planets. The worlds own gravity mass will do the rest.

The thread need only be short. Basically you can give the defense force a bloody nose, you've already knocked out most ground targets. Take out a vessel of theirs and call it quits. Then jump outsystem.

I tried to keep it fair, by RPing out one action/attack for each of my ships/fighters... but if I had to say something I'd say he's running on the edge of godmoding. :x BUT I have RPed against godmoders and won, so I'll give it some thought and then post to end it.
