The idea:
The Imperator's shuttle has exited hyperspace to check coordinates before continuing on its jump. A group of rogue fighters--unidentified--attack the vessel and its escorts disabling them but being damaged beyond survival in the effort.
The group of Federacy officers find themselves on a lone planet in the middle of nowhere with nothing but scant survival kits to fend for themselves with.
Future details:
It is planned for Lah to have a force awakening and for his training and Khendon's disciple to begin. Other than that details haven't been discussed.
What can be done:
In the future (not now, the RP is still in its early stages) a Sov vessel could float by and see what's up--a survey mission maybe or, if you want to take claim for the hit, a troop to take care of what was not finished.
